Be advised, this method may cause your AC system to eventually corrode due to the fact that you are letting air from the empty hose into your system. The correct method is to pull vacuum and then connect the can to the hoses and adapter and then purge the hoses by releasing some refrigerant into the air, then proceeding to allow the refrigerant into the system.

Can you tell us how to determine where the refrigerant goes though?

Its The LO Line you use not the HI line. The HI line can have some insane amount of pressure, but the nozzles are different sizes so you cant really put it on the HI line but don't try it just to prove me wrong 😂
