Thank you for this. C. S. Lewis is like a draught of pure water among all the poisoned chalices we are offered daily.

All types of wickedness comes from a slip of the tounge. With Christ there were, and are none. God remains the same today as He always has been. We find peace in His Joy that He brought to us.

I’ve learned a great deal from here, especially at this moment. I was so wrong.

His candid description of his mental states before & after conversion resonates with me. Before I became a Christian I hardly gave Christianity much thought beyond generalizations; after receiving baptism I realized the Faith was in CHAOS, as my conversion coincided with the dawn of "wokism".
Come on now, let's finish the race. ✌️

This, this right here. It doesn't just affect Christians, but it's very noticeable in other religions as well. Once when I was meditating, I realized that I didn't want to on certain days for fear that I would "Lose the high of life." as it were. And I have found while I pray and read my Bible that the same thing stops me from it. I want the 'high of being good to end'. Often this might be the ego or ourselves trying to rear their way back into our lives, but C. S. Lewis puts it beautifully when he talks about it.

I love CS Lewis. He has helped in my faith so much. I love how he uses common sense and rational thinking

Wickedness we sill not boast in! We will boast in Christ, as His humble, unworthy, servants.

Wonderful work you are doing! Followed the link in the video, too bad they don't have books from the monastery in NY state: St. Job of Pochaev. Favorite book from university was reading and rereading The Arena. Blessings my friend! Thank you!😎👍👍🙏🙏

Once while I was talking to myself (I'm mentally ill and autistic so I do that fairly often) I was having an imaginary argument with a calvinist and I intended to say to my pretend opponent "you worship the devil and I don't" but I ended up saying "I worship the devil and you don't"
I personally think it was God's punishment for my pride and cruel accusations. I do often feel the doctrines of Calvin to be quite simply satanic, but I recognize that not all calvinists may recognize the full implications of their doctrines or they may dislike them but think they must hold them or deny the gospel.
