I remember when my dad taught me how to box he would throw a punch off to either side and it would distract me and he'd jab me lol he use to tell me that "if you ain't moving you're providing your opponent a target" he taught us lots of things, I'm glad he's still with us after his aneurysm

With almost every single opponent pre-fight it’s like everybody says, “he’s gonna destroy Canelo!” After the fight it’s like “the guy was a bum! Canelo only fights bums!” Come on folks!
There is the argument he picks fights he can win, as at least 85% of pro boxers have traditionally done.
That being said his understanding of angles and striking precision is excellent. But I always respect those that compete against the elite to claim elite status. That is the real test of skill and will.

Them faints set him up for power shots really well.
I can watch Canelo work his Lazer guided upper cuts and his left hook speaks for itself. It's so blindingly fast he'll connect with several while simultaneously working up and downstairs. Opponents don't even realize what happened until his backed out and is circling out. Just insane
His straight right is also very lethal and underrated!
What impresses me the most about Canelo is he's not ducking anyone. He's coming directly after the best and in their prime. No politics! I love it!

Facts
Canelo is in a masterclass of his own. He's blended old school boxing to the body with the speed of a technical boxer. His instincts both offensively & defensively are almost uncanny & he can obsorb a punch with lil interuption. He has power in either hand from many angles & rolls out of danger as he rolls in to counter. much like Mike Tyson use to, but I think quicker & sharper. Boxers these days are mostly head hunters, so he has less angles from them to avoid. Canelo is an equal opportunity puncher who will strike where ever there's an opening from top to bottom & use that distraction to get to the head. If he has an Achilles heel it's in his bulking up which trades some flexibility for power. That could be a problem for slipping & absorbing blows from bigger natural weight guys like Bivol. However that may cancel out given his skills far exceed Bivols.
Bivols is very skilled whether canelo is more skilled is debateable
I've been upset about the GGG decisions and I've always known Canelo is good but that footage was some beautiful work. Dude is a bad man and versatile.. let's see Floyd go up in weight like that.. I don't think he could. There's so many factors for that pound for pound category and Canelo should definitely be in the conversation

Canelo truly is a credit to the "SPORT OF BOXING". his skills and willingness to face any opponent, is great for the fans, lovers of the sport. I love how, he doesn't wait, for a weakness to be exposed,of a potential threat of an opponent, before he agrees to fight them. Perfect example was "GGG". He fought him while he was dominating everyone.

How is this disrespectful? Even in the first clip canelo waited for the other boxer to turn around and even had his glove on the guy so he knew which way to turn around.
He has perfected the old school shovel hook. I just learned a slew of technique in how to perfect mine by watching this. I have studied it but never saw it performed by such a master. That is one of the scariest weapons I have seen. It makes them drop their guard to defend against it leaving the head open. It's like they have to choose whether to get stopped by a shot to the liver or the head.
