Serious question is it worth fitting an oven in a campervan or just having the space for an air fryer and some hobs. Currently doing a build and I see most vanlifers using air fryers than the ovens they get fitted. Cheers

we do tend to stay calm , found out in th epast that losing your head makes things a lot worse and you dont think , but it was one of them situations that we had to film just to show a faliour and hopefully us getting out which we didnt know if we would have but did work out in the end

Top tip, Tie some string to the boards and attach the other end to the back of the van, So when you get unstuck you dont have to stop to go and pick them up, you can just keep on going until you find solid ground

To be fair, I'm after getting myself stuck like that too and to be perfectly honest, you kept your cool a lot better than I did! Awesome job getting out buddy, really good!! And yes with a heavy vehicle like that I think you're right, four recovery boards would be necessary.

Don't let your dogs chase sheep again, in Ireland farmers usually shoot dogs that worry sheep.
Don’t ever tell people what to do mate . May be you should or it’s risky let in your dogs chase sheep . And they where on retractable leads ok and that’s why they where brought in the van . But don’t ever tell us what to do again . We know the rights and wrong and your not our parents
Our dogs where on their longer leads at the time and we are fairly strict with them when it comes to their behaviour, so as soon as they reacted and tried they where straight into the van and told off, we would never just let them chase animals and it’s not just Ireland where farmers will shot dogs for chasing live stock it’s also in the UK which is why we have them on leads when near any farm lands
I got slightly stuck on that same beach back in June....my van is only 2.8 tons😂

We’ve been stuck in sand and it is the one thing that totally stresses me out 😢. Here in Australia they won’t come out if you are off-road. Well done guys ❤

No offence taken at all!! And to be fair we are glad they didn’t help as it could have ended up worse with more than one van stuck!

You need a whinc fitting or if 4 wheel drive tie rope from front to back wheels and your sorted😂😂😅😅😅
Ohhhh the winch …. There’s been war over getting a winch 😂😂😂 mainly because of the weight it will add to the van and the one Neil wanted was mega bucks 😂😂😂
There are times when I have had to question my life choices too Neil .
It took me 5hrs in the pouring rain to dig a Land Rover Defender out from the chassis rails on Tynehead pass .
With a spade half that size , no winch and no recovery boards .
Escaping being done for indecent exposure by 5 seconds was the icing on the cake that day .
Ahhhh the memories.
They're the only thing ya can take with ya when ya time comes .

Why did you let down the tyre pressure on the front non-driven wheels? If anything, increasing the pressure would have been better.
Lowering the pressure on the rears would help.
all the tyres where let down to 40psi , we didnt need to show all 4 being dropped we naturaly thought people would presume all 4 was done ,

A decent long tow rope and it might have been easy to pull you out backwards.

Also they did drive on all terrain just not so good at getting off but they don’t stop sinking
little tip from ray mears. tie parracord to the recovery boards and tie to the back of van so stops them flying out the back and also recovers them for you .

I feel you're pain Neil, I dropped our 31ft RV off the side of a road in a forest in the night.
Had two recovery vans first said he couldn't do anything, second was 5 ton to pull 7 to RV OUT.
I Had to show him how to use a tree with his snack block plus me driving the RV.
JOB DONE.
OH and I couldn't have just watched you both.

QQ - searched your channel for a video on the recovery boards you have and how they are mounted on the outside of the van. Is there a video on the boards? Also checked your website and Amazon page. Can you share a link to the boards you have please? I just finished my van and this video has made me realize perhaps I need to get myself some of them 😊
We haven’t got a video on them sorry but they are maxtrax heavy duty recovery boards and we got them from Amazon, they are fitted on with a Neil special job!

Thank you it was a lovely place and we did at least get to enjoy a beach view for a cuppa, we wouldn’t have been able to get out of that situation without the recovery boards so they are a definite win!

I used my recovery boards at a very wet and muddy festival site earlier this month. Have now bought two more.
Definitely a good idea having 4 instead of 2, just makes sense! 😃😃

I feel for you, it's so easy to get stuck but you did an amazing job of self recovery. You should be proud of yourself. All the by-standers should be ashamed of themselves not offering help! They put me off visiting Ireland!

Don't let a few assholes out you off the whole country.we got a flat battery when we were there last year and not one person came to the rescue .nice place but we found that time the other campers weren't that friendly.we got it started anyway found our battery booster in the van.karma came later that night ,it got wet and windy and sheep ran into the guys tents that were watching and not lending a hand ,they had to pack up and leave in the middle of the night .got the last laugh.

What makes this extra fun is the fact that if Neil had seen someone else in the same situation he would call them a d**khead for attempting going on the beach, And to be honest I would say the same thing lol
did not realise you knew me so well , if you ddi then you know im the kind of guy to appreciate the attemps and the first person there to help and probably getting stuck my self in the process , im not one of them people to take the safe road cos nothing intresting happens there
I would of been screwed if i had gone on there. My Crafter is too low. Good reason for me to keep of stones, Sand or Bogs. Even with yours raised i would of thought thrice. Your Brave.

Thank you for the suggestions but we are around 6 weeks behind on videos, and are currently back in England unfortunately due to commitments but we will keep all these places in mind for when we return as we have missed out so much we will be coming back over ♥️♥️

Lessons where learnt and to be fair the soup was better than I thought it would be as I don’t like tomato soup as a rule (Emma here) but the toasties made it 😂😂😂

I was watching this ready to jump on you guys here for dancing the sand dunes… however… looking at it while there of course is an impact it looks to be very minimal and mostly a bit of the sand moved which will soon blow back in to place. The boards really did help you to not rip up the dunes.
When all else is said and done, your stuck you are going to struggle going the one way so options are limited what are you to do….

We have done that in the T4 .. soggy grass and mud … we where filthy after that experience 😂😂
This happened to me in Andalusia, l had checked that everywhere was firm for me to drive on , but there was this just one spot that wasn’t Hey Ho ! But this was Spain , l had Dutch , French , German , Spanish all diving in to help , it was like Dunkirk all over again getting the Brits out of The Shite . It cost l few beers but it was well worth it 🥳🤙

As you head down towards Galway take some time to visit Inishboffin Island. My cousin owns The Beach bar, great food, great welcome and great drinkies.
You can’t bring your home on wheels but there is safe parking at the ferry terminal.

We actually had some prior to the recovery boards but they where very heavy so changed them out for weight on the van 😂😂
