- In this 6-day long survival challenge, we test our limits, skill, and ability to maintain our body weight and thrive only eating wild foods that we scavenge, forage, collect, trap, hunt and fish, in and around the off grid cabin in the woods simulating a global catastrophic event which shuts down modern life. FULL SEASON 6 PLAYLIST: • Season 6: The Wilderne...
Jeremy (One Wildcrafter): / @onewildcrafter
We collect wild or feral apples and also show you how to prepare black walnuts for eating as a wild edible. We finish the day off with wild apple cobbler made fresh with maple syrup and leached acorns. This entire season is about homesteading, but we are also looking at collecting as many wild foods as possible in order to send Jeremy home with some surplus foods for his "big wild year."
In Episode 1 of our 6-day long survival challenge, we settle into cabin life in the woods. First we wake up to a squirrel hunt, which was supposed to be an archery deer hunt, just without deer. We spot a turkey, but it won't come into our mouth calls. We give the raccoon call a try without much success either. Afterwards, we take a walk on our 40 acres to check our baited live traps set for raccoon.
In Episode 2 of our 6-day long survival challenge, we find that we have success with our live trap for raccoon. We harvest the nuisance raccoon for a meal later. We have had several farmers approach us for help reducing the raccoon numbers as they are devastating their crops.
In Episode 3 of our 6-day long survival challenge, we start off super early with a goose hunt over a cut corn field with a pile of goose decoys. Despite super high winds, we manage to get a whole pile of geese during a very eventful morning hunt. For lunch, we dive into a raccoon and wild rice feast topped with maple syrup. We end the day in search of whitetail deer and wild turkey. A warm meal of trout rounds out the day.
In Episode 4 of our 6-day long survival challenge, we are made lucky with a brazen raccoon that mistakenly travels through camp in broad daylight. The 22LR makes quick work, and we are on to a fantastic meal of fresh coon. In the early morning, we try for some more geese, seeing how well our first try turned out before. Thankfully, we still have left over wild goose from the day before. We grab some more rainbow trout from the pond and get a special visit from my wife and son who drop to see how we are doing.
In Episode 5 of our 6-day long survival challenge, we begin, like most of our days, bowhunting deer from a treestand. We process some more black walnuts, check our live traps, and do a few sets of raccoon and crow to try to get even more food on our survival challenge. The end is capped off with another deer hunt over freshly cut soybean field. We grind up our raccoon meat and fry it up combined with wild rice for a hearty meal.
In Episode 6 of our 6-day long survival challenge, we begin, like every other day, on an archery deer hunt. We follow this up by checking our live traps for raccoon and find some success. The day is topped off with some fresh made apple cobbler including acorn, and maple syrup. We do a deep clean of the cabin, and inventory all our extra wild foods which Jeremy will take home to use in his "big wild year." As an exit meal, Steve, mushroom expert, prepares wild mushrooms, and goose medallions cooked fresh inside the cabin. We weight ourselves to see if we've managed to balance our calories during the survival challenge.
We will pursue all kinds of wild animals including beaver, raccoon, skunk, whitetail deer, squirrel, possum, crow, grouse, duck, goose, pigeon, porcupine, bullfrog, fish, bear, apples, black walnuts, wild grapes, burdock roots and whatever else makes the mistake of crossing our path.
We will use a variety of tools including live traps, bows, crossbows, shotgun, and fishing rod.
Our ultimate goal of this survival challenge is to not only survive, but thrive. We aim not to lose any body weight, but instead look at this challenge as a long term situation where calories in need to match calories out, sustainability.
Season 6 of our Wilderness Living Challenge will take place out of our homestead, off grid cabin complete with solar power, and battery bank system in order to help us make more use of the foods and resources we are able to collect.

I know you had to stop doing these types of series for health purposes but god man they were so incredible to watch. Thanks for uploading a full movie for season 6!
I agree❤
Would be nice if they grow grain on the side to keep the weight
@@darugdawg2453😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😮
Packing in a generator and fuel is not living off grid
@@MrRatkilr I’m not sure you actually understand what the “grid” is 😂
This is my favorite series on UA-cam! Jeremy is so informative, you two are so much fun to watch! Best wishes
Best duo
I'm a native Texan but lived in W.v. for five years. I used to keep my hunting clothes outside on a clothesline and would periodically beat them with spruce branches a few days before a hunt. I also used oversized cheap white Tyvek painters suits in the winter to blend in with the snow. I've had mule deer come within 5' of me on still hunts and tracked them to within 100' while following tracks. I only step when they do and try not to walk with a steady rhythm. They dont mind as much if you sweep your feet through snow as much as the sound of regularly stepping though the crunchy top layer of snow. I had a tom cat who helped me squirrel hunt and i could direct him to walk past a tree so a squirrel would run back to my side so i could get a shot. As a reward i would twist one of their heads off and he'd carry it around all day.
Man i love the videos with Jeremy.. ❤❤❤much love and support from india🇮🇳🇮🇳
Hope all is well Chris I'm Gonna Love Watching This one Sit Back Grab Yo Popcorn Ladies and Gents and enjoy The Movie on This Rainy Weekend 🙌🏽
Plant Jerusalem artichoke. It can be left in the ground until you are ready to eat it. Has similar nutrients to potatoes but they don't have to be removed from the ground to keep them from spoiling.
There is nothing you do more edutaining than your forays with Jeremy. Absolutely my favorite content of yours.
Also bringing the fam around and sharing with your kiddos is awesome. My kids were fascinated learning how to dress our chickens. As basic as it is, a skill probably 95% of our current generations have never done and have no idea how to. Keep passing it on!
I would love to see an update on the cabin video showing how it's held up over the years. Gotta be 5 years old now?
Good morning from Syracuse NY USA everyone thank you for sharing your adventures
This is an older video looking forward to new ones keep going!
We need more series with you and Jeremy 💯

@@TheWoodedBeardsman yoooo that sounds awesome can't wait!
Great video. I have a friend who uses a cement mixer to clean the walnuts. He puts the walnuts in and fills it with water. Then turns it on and let's it run until they come out clean.
Looking forward to hearing you
Haha. The reenactment of taking racoon is hilarious. Great movie. Kevin Costner would be proud.
lol. I couldn't believe it just walked out of the wood in the middle of the day.
Pure savage, guy shoots a compound bow with fingers.... lol!
Yesssss this was amazing ❤❤❤
Hi/ great episode. You talked about starting to plant. I'm 50 ish and just learned how to make pizza dough/ then other doughs. 1 1/2 cups very warm water, salt, pack of yeast, sugar, dab of oil/ whisk. Add 3 1/2 cup ish of flour. Knead for few/ let rise. Easy shmeezy. Same with pancakes as you guys always make. Breads is key to win challenge. Learn how easy it is. Bushel of wheat is 1000 square feet aboutish. Don't know anything about milling or winnowing or threshing. I guess yeast can natural such as putting dough under certain trees or bushes. But never tried. Just figured you guys always score on proteins, breads would be a cartwheel over weight gain. Have a good one.
Great watch I’ll tell ya. Lovin the movies
So excited for the new season!!
I love your work good job
Love Watching This
Enjoyed the long play version
Kevin, please fix the wood stove. 34:59 😂
Soak those black walnut in water for couple hours and if u pour the walnut water on the ground it will bring the worms up for picking
Really like that trout process. memory logged
These videos ROCK!
Best type of videos
Офигеть у Джимми "Леший", тоже себе хотел его купить) хорошая винтовка!
Watched it entirely from beginning to end. I love Jeremy! Also Chris you are awesome!
You always double up on footage and it freaks me out. I swear you do it on purpose to see if we are actually watching. To me, it makes me think I’m even crazier than I actually am; or actually think I am.
I do love your survival challenges. I’ll be homeless and living in my car soon due to a horrible divorce and you give me inspiration.
Thank you.
much love from Turkey
Very nice!
Love the Channel, great information, entertaining. Fun to watch. Thanks Chris, and Jeremy. Keep doing the challenges.
Yo Scott that was Vibranium it seems. Also can you start mixing fire recipes in them zombie heads ? 😂
Never thought of using a pressure? Comparing cooking times(frozen to fork-fall of the bone tender) is super short...would break down those proteins down super nice 👌
Don't get me wrong, huge fan of cast everything ++++ over the wood stove. 🍻
Love it dude
I love your videos you are like my family eat everything you hunt fish trap my people
This was a good one, boys.
You guys are great! It was good to see Bean. We miss doggo...
Is that you own cabin that’s nice I really enjoy your content
Gardening would be super cool
Favorite videos
Congrats on 6th year. Great format this year with having a home base. Definitely my favorite subject on surviving with what can get. 99.9% on this subject are "cook, camp, solo survive 12 hours"... So thanks for doing it proper.
Try layout blinds for your goose hunts lay in the decoys you will like it
Awesome video! What air rifle is that?
Hi I’m a huge fan!!
Awsome video! By the way near the end you said Oyster mushrooms but it was Loins Main
Deer bed down in the rain like cattle. I've heard they find a spot to lay and stay to keep it it dry.
Let’s goooo ❗️❗️❗️❗️❗️
Ohhhhh sweeet! Just what I needed to ease the cravings. Thanks Jeremy and Chris
Looks like Jeremy has a Cooey Model 60. Classic Canadian .22 Have one myself though minus the tape. LOL
You should hunt for nightcrawlers. Bring us on for that small adventure.
Just saw the fishing poles. Reason for this comment.
hope you will not stop making videos man
With the trout bones......make them until crispy and then toss them in to a pot with the bones from the squirrels, raccoons, and geese and make bone broth.....cook them until the bones crumble and you are golden
Deer must be different there cuz the absolute best time to hunt deer is in the rainy and cold!! They like to keep moving to stay warm.. in California deer season the only time I’ve ever shot deer is in the rain .. I seen over 400 deer in 3days in the rain and then not a single deer fir the rest of the season in the sun.. so I’ve learned to absolutely love the rain cuz that’s when you see deer here
The guys name who put the cleaned dancing chickens in his video was Peter Gabriel the name of the song was "SLEDGEHAMMER" I know you know who im talking about. 😂 lol
Find the show really interesting and informative! You must be sick of apple flavor by the end of it.. but love how you guys make a stew out of… everything…😂 you guys killing all the animals listed from the song “on the first day of Christmas”.. except a partridge
I like chicken fried squirrel in lard. You then put it in a thin white gravy and simmer it on low for an hour. The meat will fall off the bone.
Yeah, do a garden, that would be cool. Even if some of it was a raise garden. Your brother could come up with something cool to build.
Be sure to keep an open kettle or pot of water on that wood stove at night so your nasal passages don't dry out
Kinda cool fun stuff. Curious if you bought or wild harvested the wild rice. Think Cananada is the only place where wild rice still found. Like to see other wild starches, carrot, hopniss, wapatoe, or cattail cause we all know the keto diet, is a "diet".
I am loving this season of wild living. I find this more wholesome as can see the years of hard work building up to create the environment around you more versatile for wilderness survival. I don't know what your local laws are about seeding the forests with wild seed/ grain plants.
I like the cabin. Traveling makes things way more complicated.
You should try staying still in the tree stand
Come here to Michigan you can limit out on Canadian chicken in any business parking lot. They walk in front of you and won't move all the time. You can limit out with a sling shot
And while im sure it tastes much better than it looks that purple mush was rough looking lol
SWEET
23:44 this is the second time I heard a vehicle in the distance. Are you not far in the woods?
I remember discovering you around the end of lockdown but genuinely watchinf your videos brought peace to my heart - genuinely such a good character and the videos banged - pray god makes your health better ❤
So how long does it take too hunt out a location deplete most the game
Legit. While so many of the "solo surviving off only what I eat" vids are complete junk where they pick and choose and basically just are out for the afternoon to make a fake video. Yours are LEGIT. Legit survival. Legit homesteading. Legit foraging. Love the content man!
Sweet
survivalist 101: nice outlets
I miss these videos Ive learnt so much from you and Jeremy
You're lit up like a redheaded Jesus Christ in that stand dude! LOL peace
Luv the channel.. peace
Chris. Is this filmed fall of ‘22?
Been a while hope you guys doing well
I don't know if it's a Canadian thing or if you guys just don't want to mess with it, but your stews will taste better if you pan sear the meat before you put it into the stock. I think pro cooks call it the Maillard effect or something along those lines, but the charring of the protein gives it a deeper flavor profile.
Here in the US we mostly can't hunt crows because of a treaty agreement with Mexico. They don't kill Bald Eagles (our national bird) and we don't kill Ravens (their national bird) and crows are considered ravens for the intent of the treaty. I have eaten some barbecued crow breasts on a late Sunday afternoon and then went to my night shift job that evening. I was in a JLG bucket lift with a co-worker and good friend doing a job up high that night and squeaked out the quietest and most deadly fart I've ever passed in my life. I think we both considered jumping out of the bucket, it was so bad. I know that it had to be the crow that fueled the noxious fart and wonder if you guys have ever experienced the same with crow or any of the other wild and unorthodoxed meats that you've consumed in your many adventures with wild foods?
Nice I watched the whole video and sorry about the raccoons in the begining
Googeon, it's what's for dinner!
Cool
