    Our Nature’s Pond Conditioner is made from a blend of beneficial bacteria, enzymes, plant extracts, and food grade dye that works to consume decaying organic matter and excess nutrients in your pond. I also used Nature's Pond Dye: store.koenderswatersolutions....
    Nature's Pond Dye helps filter out UV light which limits the growth of weeds and algae, it's like sunglasses for your pond!
    The fastest way to dig a big pond is to use the help of a qualified excavator. This excavator normally digs out house foundations and the operator has years of experience digging giant holes in the ground and removing mountains of material.
    In the previous episode we had Clarke from Lyndon Trout Ponds and Fish Hatchery measure water quality of our fish pond for oxygen and water temperature. This pond was also monitored year round to see if it holds enough water and has the depth the fish need to stay cold. Rainbow trout need good to excellent water quality and plenty of oxygen. Water flow is an asset to help fish spawn. We discovered that the water in our pond is filled continuously with the help of ground water and is very cold, even in the summer. Trout will die if water gets above 25 degrees Celsius. Shade also helps keep water cool and our pond is sheltered for a good part of the day with trees.

    I'm not a doctor, but I am someone who shares your pain, at least I used to. What cured me (took me years and years to find out) I stopped eating all Wheat, Grains, Dairy and processed seed oils. Like Canola, Safflower, Sunflower oils. Why? Inflamation. Stopping those foods stopped all the constant inflamation. Cured me, I had everything from IBS to severe Eczema. Yeah I can't eat pizza anymore, but I feel sooooo much better. Anyway, love your vids and I hope maybe this helps.

    I had similar issues, felt like i would throw up trying to lie down, they all went away after changing my diet to a primarily carnivore keto diet, so many things i thought it might be (stress, leaky gut, etc) I would recommend trying the 30 beef butter bacon and eggs challenge. If it works for you tweak to your own body, slowly add stuff back to test, keep out the things that make you feel bad and keep in the things that don't

    I had a colonoscopy a week ago as lumps were found in my bowel & throat after an accident. Sadly it came back inconclusive as I was basically not cleared out enough. However, I was sedated for this, so don’t remember anything about it. Got another one in 3 weeks’ time., but I’m not worried at all about this one. What I’m saying is GET IT DONE! Chris you owe it to yourself & your family & wont remember a thing.

    just a suggestion I'm no dr. but i learned cabbage broth is good for ulcers and I just simmered the cabbage in some water with a little salt and sipped the hot broth. you can eat the cabbage too. Also i learned about fresh lime juice when i had a sore throat coming on and had a friend tell me to gargle with lime and salt. i couldn't do that so i drank it. woke up the next morning and not even a tickle in my throat. the only thing to help my acid issues after years of medications, was squeezing a fresh lime into a small glass and straight shot it. i sure felt better a few days later so i did it a few times a week, then i realized that day i didn't need any acid medication. I had a gastric ulcer that acted up from time to time and was given GI Cocktails to drink. since then I've not taken medication. if you have an ulcer try the cabbage for a week or so first. the lime maybe to much and cause to much pain. i think it worked because acid reflux i learned is caused by not enough acid in the stomach. I used the green limes not lemons. anyways i wish you good health and full recovery. ♥much love♥ thanks for sharing the pond with us :)

    Have you try lemon juice in warm (or hot) water in the morning? About 1 table spoon. And again in your ginger tea. Lemon juice actually becomes alcaline inside your body…
    It also makes your blood less interesting for biting bugs.😊

    Your digestive problem could be as a result of pancreas not making enough enzymes like lipase protease and amylase. This condition is also called chronic pancreatitis. I have very similar issues. I tried many diets and different doctors and specialists and nobody could help me, so I know how it feels. Avoiding a lot of fat really helps me with digestion as fat is one of the hardest things to digest. I hope this helps. Try alternative doctors like Dr.Axe. Blessings to you man!

    Put the same stuff in your worm bucket that you would put in a compost bin and they will eat and reproduce. Just use a small amount of soil and they will produce castings (worm poop that looks like soil) that you can use as fertilizer in your garden. Folks that grow worms will frequently put food scraps at one end of a large tote and the worms will feed on that, then later they will add scraps to the other end of the tote and the worms will move down to that end to feed. This leaves behind the castings at the first location for easy harvesting. Rinse and repeat over and over. You might even find some way to incorporate this behavior into tricking the worms to move from your bucket into an area where they can drop into your pond.

      I mixed in garden soil and peat moss. They will eat the newspaper, but you are right, if you want to extend it, defiantly add either new soil with trace organics, or food scrap for sure. They will eat leaves and such too.

    So Chris, this might be a silly question but during g a heat wave since it's such a small pond could u pump cold water in to help the fish out?

    • @TheWoodedBeardsman
      @TheWoodedBeardsman  8 місяців тому

      I was thinking of ways, but couldn't come up with anything that would make a difference. Our well runs dry if we pump too much, and the sheer volume just isn't enough. I think we could for sure provide more shad to the pond as it mostly gets mid-day which is not perfectly ideal. Other than that, aquatic plants, edge plants, etc, but we need to be careful not to get too many weeds in the pond or it will be unfishable. So basically...ya, deeper well. The pond won't really get much deeper at this point, but we'll need to drain at some point, and get whatever is getting in as it will keep getting shallower.

    The colonoscopy isn't too bad at all. It is the prep that is awful, but just make sure your phone is charged up and you have a comfy toilet seat and nice warehouse club pack of nice soft tp. As for your health care system, it is great until you get sick. And as you more or less said, the "diagnosis" is just medical terminology for your general symptoms, a catch all. Keep on the docs, it is the squeaky wheel that gets the grease. Best of luck finding a solution.

I'm also struggling with gastritis for over 2 years, seen a bunch of specialists, tried all diets, still no results, when I get acid I'm in pain. Probiotics maybe? Have you tried kombucha? Possible holes in your stomach lining. Not a doctor but maybe try to heal your gut and look into gut health. It's kind of a thing in America going around in certain circles. Ok yogurt that's probiotics too. Kombucha might help too.😊 love you bro be well!

      I was looking into that. Yogurt works best...the probiotic pills probably made things a bit worse.

    Pond looks great. Live floating plants will help shade your fish during mid day summer heat and reduce algae blooms. Not sure what is allowed in your area but plants that can be used in some areas are water lettuce and pond Duck weed. Plus fish and other wildlife eat them as well

    I’ll be the first too admit I had stopped watching … way back when you were working with Gowdy and the work you did on his pond …. It was a bad thing for me I’m a non waste anything my work my food my game my garden … and I live where we don’t have water that can stay cool enuff too survive . Unless it’s fall and winter and what we pay too travel too get trout either Missouri NE Iowa /Minnesota area or wait until fall spring winter when the DNR stock several gravel pits too fish. But that was the beginnings of me leaving the channel and you know i loved the videos I even had several chats on messenger with you. I have again returned . And I am liking the changes I stayed with your brother and your friend you made videos camping 🏕️ and surviving outdoors. But I’m back . I know it don’t mean much but it’s great too be entertained. My life has changed as my spine has deteriorated so bad I can no longer walk very far . I can’t hunt or fish like I did . I’m trying too get one of these motorized handicapped things but omg they’re like 20 k and with a teenage son a wife a home it’s impossible too save fast lol . I keep trying too talk one of these companies too donate me one and I’ll film my use of it hunting fishing and trapping with my son… and show how useful too a paraplegic too still enjoy the outdoors and teach young people and adults how too fish hunt and trapping . If you have any ideas too get these companies too at least respond with a lol are u crazy… no way email back !

    You should look into mealworm farming instead of earthworms or soldier flies. Mealworm farming is easy and highly productive and doesn't smell.

    It has been great to watch you guys learn how to continually improve your pond. From personal experince, acid reflux and constant stomach problems is really debilitating. What finally helped me was taking organic apple cider vinegar every day. Do some research around that. It might help.

    I had similar stomach issues. A homeopathic doctor told me to stop drinking tap water. Here in the US, Michigan Detroit city water. Our water has High levels of chlorine fluoride and who knows what else. I stopped drinking the tap water and my stomach issues went away. The homeopathic doctor said the fluoride and chlorine I was getting from the water was killing my digestive enzymes therefore my body was creating more stomach acid to digest the food. I did notice before he told me that, if I didn’t drink any water 1/2 hour before a meal or with my meal or within an hour after I ate. My stomach problems were not as bad. Also the homeopathic doctor would tell me that likes get along. In other words if eating a fatty meal, drinking milk would be better to drink.

      @@TheWoodedBeardsman well water is million times better. Also if u eat grains buy only organic. Pesticides destroy your gut biome and oats are full of them and all other grains too even veggies etc. U need everything organic.

    Still watching so I haven’t seen everything yet. I hope your health is improving and your family is well. I was hoping to see more of the root cellar when you went in it. It’s the one building I can’t remember Kevin giving us an update on. I’m also wondering why you don’t allow some fish to over winter in the pond unless you plan to drain and modify it further. I’m late watching this video because it’s length meant I wanted to wait until I had time to watch it fully. Not complaining mind you just wanted to see it all at once.

    • @TheWoodedBeardsman
      @TheWoodedBeardsman  8 місяців тому

      They won't breed in the pond. As they are hatchery fish, they are so far removed from natural processes that they would need to be milked and specially cared for.

    If you drink alcohol excessively. Stop for a month. If you would still like one once in while. Do so weekly or every other week. Other recommendation drink kombucha couple times a week the keep healthy gut biome and eat yogurt couple times a week as well. If you are the type to drinking while eating. Don’t. Don’t drink anything while eating and wait 20 to 30 minutes after to allow your stomach to start processing the food. Also, don’t eat anything an hour before bed. Lastly. Stress. Stop stressing yourself out. Especially if it because “I gotta shoot another video for work”... Dude you could put an hour video out monthly and you should keep the views UA-cam checks coming in like you have...
    If you would like a video on a badass legitimate Dr in Australia talking about this stuff. Send me a comment and i’ll share the video.
