I have Cerebral Palsy with limited use of my arms and hands. This trackball is the only type of mouse that I can use. Only one finger is all I use to operate it. These trackballs are truly a God send and they last at least 10 years or more.
I've had this for years now, never going back to a mouse. I nixed the cheap wrist rest it came with and use a small Kensington gel wrist rest with it. Totally cured my developing carpal tunnel. Gaming, office work, graphics work, studio work, all are a breeze. At work I have the ProtoArc EM03 which is cheaper and also quite nice.
Moving over to a trackball took some getting used to, but I went with the Kensington Orbit Fusion for the better ergonomic feel. It really does make a difference, and eventually it feels as natural as a standard mouse. There is a bit more cleaning and maintenance that needs to be done regularly to keep precision high. This is definitely not the right choice for anyone who works in a very dusty, dirty, or greasy environment, as the bearings the ball sits on will get dirty quickly.
We're thrilled to hear it's delivering a better ergonomic feel for you. If you ever have questions or need tips, feel free to reach out. Happy computing with your Kensington trackball! 🖲🫶
Just got this today -- I used to have one a long time ago now I have one again. It just takes a little time to learn how to use it. Once you learn to control the speed, you can be precise. Bonus: it's ambidextrous.
Thanks, not sure I understood your question :) This mouse uses standard replaceable batteries you can buy in every store. You cannot connect it with a cable to your computer - This model is fully wireless :)
@@ArthurBrassart I think he was asking if a mouse has a built in battery, will it work as a mouse while charging, or you will need to wait for it to charge, then disconnect the cable and then it will work. Some mice do that, which I find unacceptable (basically you need a second mouse while one is charging).
this or trackpad? I believe this ring for scrolling is like breath of ancient times …and its still quite big. used to have all of them in2000s, with magic mouse and trackpads this is hard to justify. thank you
Difficult question 😺 it’s better to have both so you are able to switch when needed. Trackpad is nice for web browsing or all types of creative work when you need to zoom in zoom out. Trackball is better for office talks like reading and replying on e-mails. All types of repetitive office tasks. I have both but since i started using trackball i just love it 😍
I am struggling a little with the speed settings. For some tasks, quick movements are better, for some other precise movements are neccessary. I am still struggling a little bit with how fast so set the movement speed in Kensington Works. I decided to set the basic speed to 80 % and ad a modifier key (currently the ALT key) for reducing the speed down to 40 %. I disabled mouse acceleration since this really grinds my gears ^^ How did you guys set your's up?
i got mine today but the initial friction is annoying. is this normal? feels like i have to get the ball unstuck each time. at least when i use my fingers. if i use my entire pam,it's ok
Check if there is something in the ball socket, new ones might have a protective sheet, some trackballs, I have the Logitech Ergo M575, Kensington Orbit and the Elecom Huge Trackball. I have zero issues with the first 2 but what I noticed that my Elcom always attracts more dust particles which eventually accumilate in lumps at the bottom of the ball socket, the good thing it's easy to pop and clean. It is just the type of rutine maintainace you need to regulary do to your trackball.
Yes, but if you want to remap the keys, you have to search for how on Google. I just got mine today and plugged it right in and started using it. I see Kensington is on here, so it would be nice if you made Linux software.
I’m not sure if Kensington sells custom color balls but in theory you can replace it if you have another ball. I have a friend of mine who has black ball. They are the same size so it can be switched easily
let's be honest, literally anything will be more convenient than apple magic mouse

Yep! This product can be useful for people with physical disabilities ✌️
Good luck my friend 👋
We're glad to hear our trackball has become a reliable tool in your daily life. Thank you for sharing your experience. 🖲🫶
Had the corded version for years. Still the best device I’ve ever used. I lost it in our last move and I’ve missed it ever since.
I am using it for about 6 month now in the office and i can tell a difference between using a mouse and a trackball 🖲️ its is a really nice invention!

Thank you for the review! I was considering buying a trackball and finally got a simple one. Good luck with your trackball, I'm sure you will love it!

You can always clean 🧼 the ball and it will work fine ✌️Anyway in general electronic devices are not made to be used in dirty environments 😇

:D... this video appeared 4 months ago... saw Flash two days ago where Batman's desk had one of them :D
Hi Arthur! Congratulations on the video. I have a doubt: The Mouse without battery, can it work with the cable connected to the PC?

I've been using kensington trackballs since they came with a ps2 plug! There IS no other device I'll use.
Hope you got a review with trackpad

Great idea for a video

Do you know if it is possible to change the ball to another one with another color? Thanks

Where can I purchase s replacemenr usb receiver?
Purchase the Trackball Pro on Amazon:
US: amzn.to/3o60klG
EU: amzn.to/3zP7hdn
I use one of these to program flat knit machines
Ipad compatible?
you can use Magic Mouse with iPad and any other Bluetooth pointing devices so I suppose yes :)
Sounds like a commercial video
