That's good! Yea it's expensive.
I moved here in 2018. Paid $2800 for two mowing pods. I drove my car from NJ to Virginia and put myself and my car on Amtrak car transport because I didn’t want to drive the entire way. That was around $300 but you get two meals included and don’t have the headache and stress of driving that far. It drops you off in Sanford FL. I then drove the 1.5 hours to Tampa. Rent here is literally half what I paid in jersey. If you have good credit some apt complexes don’t even require a deposit or down payment just an application fee of around $50. Car insurance here is higher than even NY so that was surprising. But overall it’s a much better life. I used to pay $250/month just to park my car in Jersey. No more commuting by bus into NY and then subway every morning being miserable spending 1-1.5 hours each way paying a few hundred every month just in commuting costs. If you drink alcohol you’ll experience $3-$5 beers at many places. Going out for happy hour after work in NY I’d be happy to spend $100. The food scene here isn’t bad at all. You just have to drive to get the cuisine you want. They have a pretty wide range of different cuisines here. Not having a deli and pizzeria on your block is something that I do miss but overall life in FL is much easier and relaxing.
P.S. if you move here from NY and NJ don’t vote for the same politicians that led their states to have the highest taxes in the country. Keep FL red and free of state income tax!

For me to hire moving co was $7000 fir all my stuff insur includ already weeded out things lol but not moving now maybe in the future

Not an income letter but W2. I think if you are starting a job in Tampa, then a job letter would be good.
