I've sat in a 2015 Mulsanne, when you look at it from the outside the thing is HUGE, when I got in the drivers seat I was surprised how "small" it looked even though it had plenty space.
Jaguar Land Rover should seriously consider to use the Daimler badge to manufacture vehicles as an ultra-luxury car brand to compete against maybach, Bentley or Rolls-Royce. Daimler has always been known as a brand associated with aristocracy. Brand presence shouldn't be an issue.

Hello! Congratulations on the video. Moving on, I would like to know a detail here: on some websites, it states that the Mulsanne Speed version has a maximum power of 530 HP @ 4000 rpm and a maximum torque of 811 b-ft @ 1750 rpm. On the other hand, other sites mention 530 HP generated from 3500 to 4200 rpm, while the maximum torque of 811 lb-ft ranges from 1750 to 3250 rpm. Which information is correct? Or has there been any regulation change depending on the year and model of each Mulsanne? Thanks in advance, looking forward to your response.

These cars are ridiculously expensive, but when you see the craft and the quality as well as the detail that goes into these Vehicles then you would understand.... If I could, I would but since I can't, then I at least appreciate.
Rolls is the same way. Craftsmanship to perfection in both brands. Bentley for the driver, Rolls to be chauffeured in.

If I was to spend that kind of money, I'd want 12 cylinders under the bonnet, and not 8. A V8 is common, a V or W12 isn't.

This car is not a limousine!! Bentley only produced a handful of touring limousines since 1930. This is just an ordinary 4 door sedan. To be a real limousine or touring limousine, the vehicle must be fitted with a glass partition usually fitted with jump seats, or a fixed rear facing seat. Most of these cars were built by Rolls-Royce!!
the car should automatically send the cooling and heating signals to the seat off of outdoor temperature readings. Where is the storage compartment for the champagne bottle? what are champange glasses good for without champagne? the extendend wheel base is not a a smooth ride----if you look at test driving videos the wheels come of the ground several times through the drive.

Excellent and highest quality car on market ! Do not forget , that Mulsanne have ground clearance like a SUV with its air suspension !

The part about it having way more torque than anything else stock is false, a 2017 Ford F-250-450 have 860 ft-lb the Mulsanne only has 811

it doesnt matter, the 2014 had more torque aswell
but that's a truck designed for towing lots of heavy stuff. In parts of Europe, trucks like that are not classified as cars any more (rather utility vehicles), so he is right that the Bentley makes more torque than pretty much any other car except for a Bugatti.

Fair enough, but there doesn't seem to be any privacy at all for the passengers. Bentley do their research I'm sure, but I'd have thought that anyone buying this, would most likely not driving themselves. The champagne thing too, not sure I'd fancy having a date back there and breaking out the champagne, only to have Nigel the driver gorping at me through the rear view mirror.....maybe its just me?

811 foot pounds = about 1100Nm, if that helps. If not, what units do you use for measuring torque and where do you live?

The physical appearance, dress, and the manner of speaking of this journalist are unacceptable when road testing such an automobile. It would appear that Fifth Gear deliberately wished to ridicule Bentley with this "test", or to make some sort of ridiculous liberal/socialist statement. If I were the communications director at Bentley I'd blackball Fifth Gear for a couple of years until they learned some elementary respect.

Then I AM of "The Ruling Class" as we've had such cars since our family's first Rolls Royce directly after WWI. The price is frankly immaterial. The rude and uncouth journalist is.

He fills up a range that is not a top driver and also, not a hungry for money journalist. Just like an every day man with a passion for cars. And he does it well. He's got not the best commentary but his impressions talk exactly about this.

Is it time to stop focusing on the cars most people can't afford to buy and consentrate on motor bikes and cars and new law for the normal car drivers and insurance updates I have worked for the rich and if they have a problem with they just throw money at the problem please have a spot on your programme for maintenance for the normal car users ie checking oil water batteries and tyres for pressure and tred wear the programme could also do trucks please don't get me wrong I am a very big fan of fifth gear and the presenters keep up the good work

Ahmm... no the fastest limo on earth will most likely be the Brabus 900 Rocket... based on a Mercedes S65 AMG.
jorgekontor .....Brabus doesn't make cars so it is not the same, I could ask COSWORTH (most successful F1 engine builders) to work on the Bentley and call it the COSWORTH BENTLEY, and I can guarantee you after they give it back to me I will stick it up the Porsche 911 turbo S arse all day right up to top speed.
I haven't got a Bentley, but I do have a SIERRA COSWORTH RS500, with 1980's technology 4 wheel drive 2litre car, reaches 60mph in 2.9 sec, top speed190mph, I repeat 80's technology with British COSWORTH magic sprinkle over it.

I get your point but I think Brabus is not rated just as a tuner, the level of mechanical modifications is huge. same as Ruf for example or Alpina.
