- Noel and Gem playing Strawberry Fields Forever by The Beatles. From a Japanese TV show so that's the reason for the subtitles in English. This is from I believe 2006, around the time Noel was on the Stop The Clocks tour. Nice solo bits by Gem too. Hope you like it.

+ Batman M - IT IS! I'm a huge Beatles fan and love love this song - and I normally hate ANYONE trying to cover any Beatles song. I expected not to like this - Oasis is my favourite band and I love Noel - but I was surprised and love his cover.
FYI - Folk singer Judy Collins did a good version back in the 60s of In my life that I like.

Better than the original
Every time the british press asked Noel and the Oasis: "Hey, are you the new Beatles?" "Are you inspired by the Beatles?" "Do you want to copy the Beatles?" And they answered with the wonderful covers of Beatles songs like that. There will never be something like The Beatles, but Noel are one of the great devotees and worshipers of The Fab Four.
Seriously, this guy is a freak. Nearly every Beatles cover is nowhere near as good as the original but this is as good as his cover of Help - which is mind blowing

Also I don't know if this is satire writing like the onion or if its actually true (which if so is really sad lol) but I guess Paul McCartney did a song with Kanye West and I'm a big Mac fan, but I guess that there are a bunch of people who follow Kanye West on twitter and they don't even know who or what Paul McCartney is (and sad to say but if you are really big into Kanye West then you really don't deserve to know who the Mac is or receive the joy from his music) , but that's just imho... Liam had a better voice than Noel from 1993 to about 2002. Liam’s voice is far more unique than Noel’s and really helped to create the Oasis’s sound. Oasis would not have been nearly as big as it was without Liam.
I just put it on to listen to it in the background while doing some work ... watched the whole thing twice.
Now I'm truning it off, because I really need to get some work done.

The guitar riff solo near end as on Beatles version is fantastic , although too short on both versions , always felt want more of it
It made me listen and realise U2, the Edge used this on the Real thing all through their copy of that guitar riff

One of many things I love about the Gallagher brothers is that when it comes to doing covers of Beatles songs they always sings them with pure perfection real emotions and feelings.

Don't act like you would've known what John Lennon liked. Like it or not, Oasis were the biggest UK band from 1990-2010. And also probably the joint biggest band in the world.

We grew up to The Beatles on the radio but primarily in our own living rooms.. My Dad had every album, vinyl tb clear with a very loud, top quality record player, speakers/ sound system. We listened, as did Noel, as infants, babies, toddlers all school years really...like a needle on black vinyl, it's scratched into my...DNA or something
I have been listening to way too much British music lately. Yesterday I put on The Beatles and could not listen to any of the songs whiteout imagining what it would sound like if Noel or Kasabian would make a cover. (Btw I don't care if I misspelled anything. English is not my first language 😉)

they are still popular today,very successful and 4 of the most influential bands in history. Allman Bros and Skynyrd are the 2 bands that are responsible for the genre of southern rock. again,still popular today,very successful and 2 of the most influential bands of all time and freebird and sweet home alabama weren't the only hits they had but I wouldn't expect someone who thinks they know everything but doesn't really know shit to know that either
