Efsun is about the cause Prince Mustafa to die. She can't stand that the man she loves will die and prevent him to eat more of his meal. However, even the amount he's eaten will be enough for him to get sick. The news that Prince Mustafa has got sick spreads in harem quickly. Everybody gets panicked. Everybody gets suspected of Hürrem.
Cihangir gets even sicker. Hürrem have poured lead to repel evil eye that it will make it better for son but she gets worried because of the thing she hears. Hürrem objects the advices of the doctors. However, Sultan Suleiman insists on Prince Cihangir to have the treatment.
Sultan Suleiman orders Bali Bey and Ay Bige to get prepared to seal to Krym. After Mahidevran learsn that, she get's disturbed that they will travel together. She wants İbrahim to prevent this. Ay Bige and Bali Bey seals away. This journey gives them a chance to have time together away from everyone.
Nigar finally disobeys Daye. She moves out to her own house. İbrahim sees no harm to spend the whole night with Nigar. Meanwhile, Hatice gets very worried for İbrahim. She reacts to İbrahim unexpectedly.
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

@@sadikasayeed8722, It's unfair to say this. I don't know about the real Suleiman in history but the Suleiman in this drama agonised through a lot of soul-searching and sought the advice of learned religious people. The real Suleiman must have fine the same.
He acted as emperor/Sultan to protect his throne/dynasty/empire but he still feels like a father. If he did not love Mustafa enough why should he hesitate so much? He erroneously believed Mustafa betrayed him. Mustafa would never dream of such a thing for he loved Suleiman as much as he did his mother.
The execution of Mustafa was one of many fatal political/military blunders in history. Read about the Charge of the Light Brigade in British history.

my heart goes to baby Cihangir in this episode...he was the most loved and purest of the Sehzades
Historiens believe that his most loved child was Mihrimah. Among all princes, it was first Mehmet, than Cihangir. He wanted Mehmet to become the king. But for Cihangir, as he was sick, Sultan always cared about him and I think over time, he developed great affection for him.
This was the first time I saw Suleiyman so vulnerable. 😭 His heart goes to his baby boy. Im crying

It's difficult enough to have a sick child in a world of science and advanced medicine. I can't imagine how horrifying it was for Hurrem to hand her baby over, or for Suleiman to stand there and bear the cries of his precious boy while the physicians worked on him. And how beautifully both actors portray the anguish of these parents.

The actor who portrays Sultan Sumieman is an excellent actor. He’s emotional internal cries for his son during the procedure was well performed. I actually had to reduce the volume to get through that scene. However, his performance out-weighted my muted volume. An excellent job for the actor and the show writers.

Just before fainting in Mustafa's arms, Sulaymaan whispered to him "be fair" as if he already knew what will happen to Hurrem and her children in case he dies!!
I guess I missed that subtitle but it makes sense why Suleiman made Hurrem apologize to Mustafa. He understood her feelings but didn't want Mustafa to be against her and her kids, his siblings just in case.

The English subtitles to the series leave a lot to be desired. It’s a wonderful series but we’re missing a lot of good parts because of the poor quality of the translation. Very disappointing.

I hated Mahidevran more than usual, in this episode. She told on Bali Bey and Aybige just bc she wanted to have her way even if she knew that Mustafa didn't want to get married. She always used him to get what she wanted bc otherwise nobody would have even considered her. Poor Mustafa, he was born from the wrong mother, unfortunately.
If a sheshzade can't bear a child b4 marriage or ruling a province then why a separate haram is built for him in the first place??!!!

Ibrahim reasoned why he suddenly change towards Hatice beacause of she humiliated him, will in fact it's her rights because that night was the moment he cheated on her.
