My Dad did a couple hitches in the Marines. I asked him a question about when he was a Marine. He quickly corrected me and said "Once a Marine, always a Marine". He meant it.

Honestly. I wonder what Jake's problem with Mark was? From the very first moment, he walked into Mark's office to ask about making Mark's wife his personal secretary, he had been very disrespectful to Mark. While you may not know someone or even know someone by reputation, you never disrespect them until they disrespect you.
It's cause his dad kept using Mark as an example of how he thought a man should be hoping his son would emulate Mark. That probably caused alot of resentment.

OPs Wife was also a victim. This Jake character targeted her because he hates OP. He ruined her life. However Allison should have come home told OP what happened and quit working with Jake. Instead she dived into the depravity and sealed her fate going along with the plan to destroy Mark/OP.

I was on a Police Dept in Northern Virginia. One of our guys enjoyed going to Wash DC to hit some bars. On a Saturday night they wandered into a Punk Rock bar. A bunch of Punkers jumped on the two and were beating them up badly. Meanwhile, outside a group of Marines from the barracks at 2nd & D Street, we're passing by and saw the attack on two skinny white guys with short hair and thought they were brother Marines. My friend said the Marines attacked and quickly turned the tables on the Punkers. They rescued the two off duty cops. DC Metro Police arrived in force and about a dozen Punks were arrested The two off duty officers were treated and released from a local hospital. When DC Police went over their statements. The cop asked how bad it was. They said they were run over by the punkers. They were punched and kicked. My friend said he was down and losing hope when we were saved by the U.S. Marines. Semper Fi Marines everywhere.

Jake had two of his college friends involved. It is so easy to make a woman disappear even with a loving husband. People disappear all the time Three guys one woman easy pray. Plus the fact that Jake used drugs on her to make her keep coming back to him and once she was hooked she would do or say anything to get more. The police especially now don’t have the resources to find Jane Does even with the technological tools available today. This story doesn’t really fill in Jake’s plan after he got Mark if she was able to hit him with the drug in the syringe. It probably went like this use wife get husband drugged him then when wife got upset because he was going to shoot him. Bury both bodies or keep wife as drugged sex slave for life.
