True pain Screaming from halfway across the map, then getting pissed when I don’t get there, or that one person who won’t stop calling me and expects me to follow them into a fleet of others that will gladly kill me.
I once had a round where it was 4 medics (including myself) and we all pocketed each other in a conga line with a heavy at the front. One of the best rounds I ever played
Only exception to medic pocketing is the hilarious medic train of healing where there's 11 medics healing eachother in a line with a heavy at the front
Most pocket medics are mostly new medics that just watch “meet the medic” and notice that the medic mostly healed the heavy so they think that there job and doesn’t notice medic a class that need to heal everyone
To be honest that was me when I first started. Healing and following the heavy, if other people needed healing I would get them out of the red, but then back into the heave. I'm better now, but I die a lot more because I'm more aggressive with demos and what not.
New Medics are so oblivious, I love them. One time this level 1 guy kept pocketing me, another Medic, and I had to keep telling him to go heal someone else and to be frank it was adorable.
Me: "I probably won't be on this list" - Mr. Accident Prone Me: _Remembers when I was somehow attacked by 3 spies simultaneously while the rest of my team pushed ahead._ Me: "Ok, so MAYBE I'm on this list."
I stepped outside of spawn for 3 seconds crocket toke teleporter heavy cones from the corner after I stepped 5 steps heavy basically the stereotype he said
There's also the Pacifist, that medic that will never, ever draw his weapons even if he spots a spy charging towards his target. Jumping about is his one and only defense mechanism. My favorite would be the determined newcomers. They react slowly, they don't time their ubers right, they are accident-prone, they have trouble keeping up with you and healing others at the same time - but unlike a regular newcomer, they WILL keep playing medic. When other newcomers all switch to spy or sniper, these guys will stick to healing their team. They might be some of the worst medics when it comes to performance, but they definitely are the best when it comes to attitude. You can't help but love the guys, even when they let you die. Godspeed, you brave medics.
They're those guys who just want to help the team out. No matter how much the suffer, they try their hardest to help the others. Give them time to Improve, and they'll likely become great medic mains.
You forgot the gone medic. This medic it's at the other side of the map when something bog happens and when he gets there, the work there was done. That's me.

Sorry, accident prone here. It's wierd, I always have my heal target between me and the front lines, but there's always that one stray pill or sentry fire or crocket that sends me back to resupply.
That is probably down to players like me that know they cannot beat actual skillful players, so I just resort to being so fucking stupid that I outstupid their skills
The first ever time I played tf2 was on cp_steel and I was a medic, the first class... I thought yelling "MEDIC" would attract the team to me for some healing, my mind was going through like a hospital, injured teammates go to the medic area or some sort. I didn't understand.
It works for bots and player medics will at least be alerted to your location... Just nobody will go all that far just to heal you (after all, it is kinda pointless if you'd die before they even get close, in which case they just left the others for nothing).
I have a friend who mainly plays soldier, while as a medic I don’t pocket him, I prioritize him when pushing. But everytime i have a beam on him and say I have an uber, I die, just like that. “Hey, I got an uber” *sniped* “Uber ready” *backstabed* “Uber’s full” *random crit* “Hey my uber’s ready so we should-“ *bodyshotted by kritzed sniper*
"Hey, I got uber." "Killer Queen has already touched that medigun!" "With my stand, Unbesiegbarer, I will never die! I have several different ways to avoid your stand's attack. Your stand is USELESS! That used to be me. I remember one time when I was using the quick fix and the soldier I was healing rocket jumped away and I was catapulted into the enemy back line. I somehow survived long enough for my team to retrieve me.
I love how when Array is doing footage for The Remora Medic, he has to stop healing a scout in the red. His experience told him to heal them out of the red but stopped because he was supposed to be pretending to be a bad medic
"...I learned that hopping around like I used a cheese grater for toilet paper..." That phrase makes me uneasy for some reason...I can't put my finger on it...
When you love being a Medic, because it's an amazing job to heal your team, but you also hate being Medic, because everyone on your team may be pretty stupid, like your Soldier rocket jumping away from you, leaving you alone, and cold, out in the open. Appreciate your Medics!
I would like to call myself a “frontline” medic. I am always on the move constantly healing to any call of the word medic. And I am not afraid to get my hands dirty. With a PAN.
You forgot the no wifi medic These medics are really late at healing players walk weird and die alot. Probably happens because of lag from the lack of wifi
I had the same thing happen to me but it only happened on community servers. On Casual (not sure about comp) my ping was always consistent and alright. But thankfully I used an ethernet and now I have lower ping in community servers.
I popped a uber today, but than I got hit with 4 sentry rockets and got blasted about a 1000 feet off a cliff and died. Oh, and I don't mean just 1 sentry. 4 sentries, all firing their full silo of 4 rockets.

@@TheDunsparceGames well you are not, you don't realise how much you are helping your team. Please don't doubt yourself and keep on healing. Although, "zhe healing leaves little time for za hurting"...so use that time wisely
the automatic team balancing thing seems a little pointless, I don't know why the game doesn't just assign a new player to whichever team has the least players. It always happens at the worst time too, one time I was playing capture the flag, my team had gotten two of the three points needed to win, and I got switched to the other team. Also sucks if you had any hand in getting the intel back to your base because you've essentially screwed yourself.
@@Resters52_official once in payload we were about to run the limit to win the game, but I was auto-balanced to Blu at the last second, so I pretty much lost to my own team (happened to another guy the round prior)
"The nervous wreck" Yup. That's me when I play medic. Being an Engineer main myself, I can't stand being backstabbed or sniped just as I'm about to pop an uber. Also, calling the Medic a mobile dispenser is not exactly wrong.
Well as a decently good medic myself, ill help you with snipers and spies for snipers, best thing you can do is put you and a large group of teammates between his weapon, he cant shoot you if you are covered, but if you have a team about as reliable as amazon shipping for litter pickers, just bhop everywhere, its surprising how hard it can make snipers job and make you faster than normal. do it even when your safe, it can help you against stray rockets by surfing them, and help against heavy gunfire with its spread as far as china's population, it can even help you against spies as you might accidentally jump on their head while he tries to stab you AND bhopping makes you faster than him. so yea, just bhop. for spies, stay near your team, ESPECIALLY PYROS, phlog pyros are still the best for spies and Extreme amount of kills in a single uber, but also make sure to look behind you often, but not while your just "moving", do it while in fighting, because spies strike when everyone is distracted.
If you absolutely need to defend yourself against a flanking scout or whatever, equip the blutsauger. It's healing on hit will make your survivability shoot way up in mid to close range combat. That's if your team doesn't offer to protect you and just keeps firing forward.
As a newborn medic who is also accident prone (I just began playing the game today after watching these videos), I can say with confidence I do brainlessly stand still when healing sometimes, attempt to saw everything, fall off of cliffs and walk into the same sentry/sniper line 7 times in a row before remembering I can take other routes. Medic is not an easy class, but I didn't give up on it, because for as bad as I am at Medic, I'm better at it than any other class (I can't shoot to save my life), and I feel... helpful. Like, a bad Medic is bad, but they're still a Medic, which is nice to have anyway, and in the 4 hours I've played, I've found that even when the only Medic on the team is bad, everyone will put up with you. I do my best, and I will continue to do so.
Dear ArraySeven, we accept the fact that we had to sacrifice a whole 8 minute video getting called out for whatever it is we did wrong, but we think you're crazy for making us write a comment telling you who we think we are. You see us as you want to see us, in the simplest terms, in the most convenient definitions. But what we found out, is that each one of us is a Newborn, Mr.Accident Prone, and a Remora, a Overly Agressive, a Nervous Wreck, Dr.Oblivious and a Sour Kraut. Does that answer your question? Sincerely yours, The Medic Players.
Dear codenamegamma Anyone who is commenting "what medic they are" is doing that by themselves, never do i ask people to say what suits them better. There are plenty of good medics out there. These are just the types I find are the most difficult to play with. Sincerely Everyone's, Array
I’m the kind of medic that doesnt hate healing, or medic binds. You need health and you’re across the map? Hold still bud, i gotchu. You on fire and spamming medic? Das ma name, feel free to wear it out. But if i get backstabbed by a spy, i will be a ver angry boi for the 4 pyros on our team not spychecking.
In Short: - The Newborn: Basically the guy who starts to play medic and doesn't know how to use the class properly, but will learn from time to time. - Mr. Accident Prone: The Medic who always put himself in danger, even by accident, and dies all the time. - The Remora: That kind of person who only goes with the players who has the best points, best hats and such while leaving behind those poor souls to bite the dust. - The Overly-Agressive: Self-explanatory. The one who charges without thinking of the consequences, using his syringe gun and saw....and dies. - The Nervous Wreck: A Medic player who is too scared to die in the battlefield. - The Sour Kraut: A toxic medic player who complains about everything. - The AFK: Do I need to explain? - Dr. Oblivious: The one who doesn't communicate to his teammates and don't even listen to them. They only keep their game on themselves.
A good Medic keeps the whole team alive, not just one person. Personally, I prefer equipping the quick-fix and the crusader's crossbow and play a more wandering style of Medic. I'll get someone up to full health, then move on to find someone else who needs it. When there's a big group pushing, I'll join into the group and jump between heal targets, using the crossbow for burst healing whenever someone gets especially low. The uber I save for when I need to heal myself, or if multiple people have low health. In my time, I've found this to be the most successful and beneficial to my team.
igetboredproductions It's a good type of playing, I kind of do the same. But after playing some time i realized that it doesn't work when you're doing a push. You need to have the Kritz or the Stock, because the Quickfix doesn't really work with pushes...
I kinda do the same thing except I'm extremely agresive (if you want yourself defended then just do it yourself cause fuck teammates)I use either the crossbow or blutsauger and when I get it the vac so I can defend myself.
What about the Stressed Medic? You know the one. Quick-Fix in hand, trying desperately to respond to every single E press he hears around him, intent on keeping his teammates from Death's cold, greedy hands, and when the rockets turn his way, he pulls a Surgeon Sim and goes for the amputator, praying to Gaben he lives another ten seconds.
Painted Kek I'm none of these I know where to be and where not,I will push with my team, I never get salty and I never overextend unless with a uber and a solider/demo
I'd say I'm a very "skilled accident prone" I'm really good at the healing part But god forbid someone targets me, I'm cowering behind my soldier, bumping into walls, and cornering myself What I'm saying is, when my team has the advantage, I excel in keeping them that way, but fire a few shells into my ass, and that all turns around, and people start to wonder where I went...
JerTehPiggy It might be your sensitivity setting, try playing around with it. I've found I prefer very low sensitivity and plenty of desk space. I drag my mouse using my shoulder and arm instead of my wrist. This also minimizes my risk of getting an RSI from flicking my wrist. I don't use a mousepad or a wrist-rest, as they put a severe damper on the range of movement that I have during a game.
I love when im on the other side of the map and a someone calls medic , like what do you want me to do, enable hacks or something, find a health kit jeez
There's also one type of medic that will only heal his unusual demoman/soldier/heavy boyfriend, he will have a professional killstreak kritskreig, stick to his ass 24/7 and don't heal anybody else, they will pop, kill almost the whole team, and go back to hide until it's charged again is charged again, rinse and repeat. As a sniper I really like to headshot these kind of medics.
I HATE these Medics. They come to an Casual Server, where abou everyone is friendly, i build my Completely empty Sentry on the Roof of the Bridge in 2fort and we are having a good time. Then Mr. And Ms. Funkiller join and dominate the whole fucking server. This was a Community server with 10 caps needed. They got all of them. I build my sentry, they burst in , pop an uber and demolish me.
Noob medic: *watches meet the medic video* During gameplay: “ohh so I heal this guy and not anyone else! * heals full HP heavy instead of a soldier with 10/200 HP *
That's the equivalent of making a horse armor joke about oblivion. Everyone knows, everyone's made that joke for 10 years, you're beating the horse's skeleton at this point.
I am definitely the Mr. Accident Prone medic. I'm fairly good at medic, I spycheck, but every single time, Random crit, Check. F2P Pyro, Check. Edgy sniper, Check. I have died to every possible unlucky thing possible.
👏. You know that you can take risks but when you know it won’t end well for u. I just stay in the back lines but when I need to I will pull out my Amputator
I am definitely the Mr. Oblivious Medic, while i am getting better.. I still am terrible. Although, i do at least have a valid reason! I have Asperges- which slows my reaction time, A.D.D- bad for concentrating, Erlynes- Eye condition that can actually cause tunnel-vision.. Although i will admit, these mean nothing and if anything, just means i should work harder and put in more effort. Just thought i had to point out, some people don't have control over these things. Though don't misunderstand, i love your videos and really appreciate how they let me learn what i need to work on!
Fearless Fenrir hey but aspergers people tend to be really smart so just use that smarts and try to predict the opponent instead of trying to react. Well really smart at one subject at least.
I think it's more your add, I have Asperger's too and we'll I'm still mostly shit, but it's because my brain moves faster than my hands and I just black out and stand there like a living target because I overthink lol
I fall under over agressive, in pubs i always go alone and go for kills with the default saw (ubersaw doesn't has enough DPS) and you would be suprised by how even being a noob, i got away with it, Medic has 150 HP and good speed as well as auto regen and general attraction for teammates who want their oeverheals, so even when it's going south someone pops-out of nowhere and i praise them with an overheal before heading out alone again. In casual i only go for the kill if my team dies and im alone, if im going down i may as well take someone with me, while healing i always give my back to my team to look for spies, and if i see one, i abandon everything in hopes to kill him
I wish there was a "nvm medic" button cuz sometimes I call for medic then I find a med kit and I just feel like a jerk when I pick it up just as the medic is rushing towards me
*sigh* i remember the first time i played medic, it was on a map of payload and we were on defense i noticed our team had no medics so naive me tryed to fill in that roll. man was i good, my team even congratuated, to this day medic is probably my favorite class to play as besides pyro.😅
I'll admit. I'm an "Accident prone" medic. I just die. Constantly. Even though i'm moving and groving around the battlefields like a jumping fish out of it's proverbial waters, I just die, die, die die, die die die. And on the off chance that I DON'T die, A rocket comes along for me to surf the blast, and crater to the earth like an egg off of the empire state building. It's not a good life.
You’ve inspired me to become a great medic main through your videos and the tips you provide in them. Hop around like you used a cheese grater for toilet paper, the medigun is your real primary, distribute healing evenly to everyone, pop an uber to save your own life if necessary. All your tips have made me a much better medic, and I feel so much more accomplished when I’m able to keep my team alive and fighting through tremendous odds. I play by your statement “the team with the better medic is more likely to connect boot with buttcheek”. Doesn’t really change the fact that I’m apparently a mr. Accident prone. I don’t even often put myself in the line of fire when healing, and even though I’m a frontline no-retreat kind of medic, I still try to stay behind cover and keep myself alive at all costs. And yet I always end up getting instantly killed some way or another out of nowhere. I haven’t even played or all that long and yet, if I had a nickel for every time I slipped off a cliff, got smashed with a crit rocket, backstabbed the split second I turn my head away from my flank, headshot the moment I peek around a corner with a pocket, or just mowed down by fire from somebody who had no business being there, I’d probably be able to afford an australium medigun by now
I've encountered a different kind of Medic some times. They're Medics that will heal/won't heal based on the weapon you're holding. For example, I was a Heavy with a Tomislav on CP_Dustbowl and the Medic on our team NEVER healed me once, when I asked why he was ignoring me he simply said, "I don't like the Tomislav, switch weapons or no heals.". I'll let you decide on that one but I have encountered Medics like that before, IMO, total dick move.
I once was a scout, the medic was healing a heavy, and I was at 2 health, I was jumping around while saying medic, then I got to him and spammed medic in front of him, just standing still. He didn't heal me. He looked slowly towards me... then a Demoman showed up and killed us both, and then I got votekicked for "being afk"
Once a demo was getting attacked by the entire enemy team and there was not a single other teamate in sight. So i ubered him. Then he went full on retreat. Then i went full sour kraut. Infact next time i saw him in trouble, i laughed at him instead of healing him.
he had it coming. sour kraut is allowed, if it has the reason to be. but please never, EVER sour kraut if you can help it. salty? go right ahead, get it out of your system.
Nerdy Nachos that sounds like something that happened to me, i was playing demo, got ubered, i didn't know what was happening to me, retreated and later the medic didnt help me when i needed it
The kamikaze medic: The one who plays normally, but when the timer on the payload starts ticking, he goes in to save it at the cost of his own life, resetting the timer, pushing the cart alone with no means of defense and almost always dies. I won a game by doing that.
I am Mr. Accident Prone. Fortunately, Array's guides have helped me immensely so more often than not I'm Mr. "Get caught in a room alone with 2 Soldiers, SOMEHOW escape, run all the way back to spawn for health (because I probably already took the nearby health packs from my previous scrapes and don't have time to wait), and then get picked by a random Spy 3 feet from the door" now. My team gets healed pretty well and more often than not I'm a deciding factor in my team winning, but no matter what I do or how much I prepare for every possible scenario, I'm inevitably going to die. A lot. It's gone beyond the typical "I should have turned around and jumped around to make sure Snipers and Spies can't hit me" and into "Death just has something against me." It's really fun to see how long I can postpone it though because it seems the longer I survive the more rediculous my death is and at this point it's kind of funny.
PappaMC No, actually. When ubered, all you should do is push, push, push. You can't be punished if you can't die. However, you shouldnt try to jump into the enemy team with %10 uber left.
Depends on my team. Sometimes a team will make sure to protect me and keep me alive. Other times I heal someone to overheal and then proceeds to run away making me take the brunt of it.
"He's like a slightly portable dispenser." That's exactly what a medic is, except people take better care of a dispenser than defending a medic

When other newcomers all switch to spy or sniper, these guys will stick to healing their team. Also, calling the Medic a mobile dispenser is not exactly wrong.
I am main heavy and i like play engineer, i have several traumas about spy and snipers
Well as a decently good medic myself, ill help you with snipers and spies
for snipers, best thing you can do is put you and a large group of teammates between his weapon, he cant shoot you if you are covered, but if you have a team about as reliable as amazon shipping for litter pickers, just bhop everywhere, its surprising how hard it can make snipers job and make you faster than normal. do it even when your safe, it can help you against stray rockets by surfing them, and help against heavy gunfire with its spread as far as china's population, it can even help you against spies as you might accidentally jump on their head while he tries to stab you AND bhopping makes you faster than him. so yea, just bhop.
for spies, stay near your team, ESPECIALLY PYROS, phlog pyros are still the best for spies and Extreme amount of kills in a single uber, but also make sure to look behind you often, but not while your just "moving", do it while in fighting, because spies strike when everyone is distracted.

JerTehPiggy It might be your sensitivity setting, try playing around with it. I've found I prefer very low sensitivity and plenty of desk space.
In casual i only go for the kill if my team dies and im alone, if im going down i may as well take someone with me, while healing i always give my back to my team to look for spies, and if i see one, i abandon everything in hopes to kill him
I wish there was a "nvm medic" button cuz sometimes I call for medic then I find a med kit and I just feel like a jerk when I pick it up just as the medic is rushing towards me
Don’t pick up medkits if medic is coming because it makes him lose Uber build
Also you can use a bind
*sigh* i remember the first time i played medic, it was on a map of payload and we were on defense i noticed our team had no medics so naive me tryed to fill in that roll. man was i good, my team even congratuated, to this day medic is probably my favorite class to play as besides pyro.😅
Yeah I feel like I play medic pretty decently when I choose to play him, although I do use the kritzkrieg and I dunno if that's a bad choice.
The kritzkrieg is fine, it just enables your pocket to do more damage at the expense of keeping them living.
Same here!! I've allways had this respect for medic, and when I found out I was pretty good I kinda mained at that, 😜
Why are you me?
I'm me!
r/thathappened
0:07 "A lot of different people play medic..." Sure they do. I sure see a lot of those medic players in games.
I'm probably mix of Mr.Accident Prone, Overly aggressive Medic, and The nervous wreck depending on the amount of spies and pyro's
I saw this guy get killed once and in chat he said "that's it I'm going battle medic" -_-
I like how for the medic footage for the bad luck medic, u couldn't get unlucky enough to get randomly killed so u purposely ran way out of position
Yeoj Codia same here too
This was me. Not the video, that's way more aggro than I played, but died constantly
/watch?v=3cjteI03KRc
Same. I can't figure out why I still play after so many deaths. There's something about playing the Medic and I just don't know.
I have lost so many 80% ubers to Random crit rockets
*Is there a specific title for Medics that intentionally heal enemy Spies?*
Cham those are just trolls
There's even a word in the dictionary for them: Cunts.
Cham the you belong in overwatch medic
Troll medics
Probably. Ive seen one.
That one where they heal only one character, ive literally seen like 4 medics do this with one heavy in the same match.
i feel like you missed one medic. the duo medic. they uber each other while building it with the ubersaw. invincible damage, constantly.
that's not really a type of medic, they're just trying out weird strategies in casual
wesley loermans yeah, 'fun' is just an excuse for overextension when it comes to überchains.
wesley loermans That's the "Uber-train"
Seventh Heaven or uberchain, you pick
775234 The One It's more of a trian becuase it's really hard to stop it
Bruh healing scout is useful when you are on long map ever. Healing scout can boost your speed by double.
**scout calls medic** *SUBMIT STEAM ABUSE REPORT* lmao
I saw that one
What's this? You want heals?
Well here
Take this! Reported!
HA!
The remora???
Commander BroShep once my friend who mained medic got mad cuz I used brass beast
Greed Ball Medic
Is it weird that I'm the nervous wreck when I play medic....
You need to leave your spawn. its a big world out there for us Medics.
Nerdy Nachos that sounds like something that happened to me, i was playing demo, got ubered, i didn't know what was happening to me, retreated and later the medic didnt help me when i needed it
Might have run out of ammo :T
The kamikaze medic: The one who plays normally, but when the timer on the payload starts ticking, he goes in to save it at the cost of his own life, resetting the timer, pushing the cart alone with no means of defense and almost always dies.
I won a game by doing that.
i am the type of nervous medic
me too
I am SORT OF, but then again, Medic definitely shouldn't be in front of the team or capturing by himself.
Same
I’m also the accident prone
AstroGamer
I’m always the accident prone. Even while playing a different class.
I am the unlucky medic.
I had full uber
out comes a random crit sticky.
you get the picture
A Person
So, a rocket jumping soldier market gardens you while standing on the crit sticky?
susan capulong
probably
Ainsley Harriot Congo into a sawblade
I zig-zag between the overconfident and the nervous wreck
1:32 DAMMIT I KNEW I WOULD BE IN THIS VID
I do manage to heal a ton and move around alot but DAMM I'm a magnet for EVERYTHING
After watching this, I feel like I'm Mr. Accident Prone and sometimes Mr. Overly-Aggressive. :/
Same
Same here as well
Is it bad that i am slightly a nervous wreck when my uber is almost full and then overly aggressive when ubering?
PappaMC No, actually. When ubered, all you should do is push, push, push. You can't be punished if you can't die. However, you shouldnt try to jump into the enemy team with %10 uber left.
I swear to god i'm always the accident prone.
*Gets hit by a stray crit rocket*
I feel the same way
/watch?v=3cjteI03KRc
Depends on my team. Sometimes a team will make sure to protect me and keep me alive. Other times I heal someone to overheal and then proceeds to run away making me take the brunt of it.
*gets hit by reflected crocket*
I’m definitely mr accident prone, I always end up dead no matter what. It’s really annoying but we try our best right
