I agree 100%; however, it is difficult to remove the inner bolt of the fork guard with out removing the wheel first. I guess its laziness, but wanted to show that it could be done with it on. Thanks for the comment.
How often would you do this procedure? After every Rod or every muddy ride? Just not sure how long the seals will last poking the seal doctor in there after every ride?
I only clean mine after a muddy ride. I agree with you as you do not want to clean all the time. More chances of damaging the seals. Thanks for the question.
I just used one of these on my 2023 tx300 and oil sprayed out with the force of god. Kinda made me nervous why there's so much pressure to spray oil out, I guess we'll see if it leaks again on the next ride
@RMAGarage that's what I figured after a bunch of oil sprayed out. Can't quite understand the physics of air somehow building up inside a sealed fork. Either way I definitely should have loosened the top little screw to purge the air.
In my experience, the extra grease do not seal any "holes" or tears in the seal. The extra grease will keep out mud and water. We usually add grease between the seal and the outer dust cover to keep the mud out.
Spring that cleaner near the disc brakes probably not a great idea. I'm not sure what the ingredients are if it's alcohol or brake cleaner based ingredients, maybe okay but otherwise may want to just cover them up in the future. 👍

There is probably excessive air build up in the shocks. Periodically unscrew the bleeder screw on top of the fork to purge the air out.
