RMA garage is a channel dedicated to making the viewer more knowledgeable about owning and operating dirt bikes in an urban environment. We live in suburbia with no place to ride so we have to pay for a membership to a local (1 hour away) ATV park. Our house is small and space is a premium. We believe that there are more of you out there that would love to ride dirt bikes but are not sure if you can do it.
We have also thrown in other helpful videos about our RV, autos and everyday how to for good measure. I use UA-cam on every project and I want to give back on things we have learned and where UA-cam lacks content.

Appreciate the real world pros and cons regarding hitch carriers. Certainly an option but not the unicorn solution.
Excellent video. Going to do the winterization on a 2024 260DS and would not have known all the steps including the black tank residual.
Glad to have helped.
I am making a lot of alterations to mine, as sold they suck.
Great video thanks for sharing ...I have a Class a trying to find a decent cover for it..
What gas are you running in it 87 or 93
We run 93 since since it's the same jug for our dirt bikes.
@RMAGarage ok thanks man
Thanks so much was dreading doing my forks had a seal kit for weeks and gave been putting it off!! But u made it look real easy very good instructions thankyou so much
You're Welcome. Glad to have helped.
Thanks for the video, Im about to do just this on one of my bikes.
You're Welcome.
Can you make a video for the 4 bike rack? Running into problems with the installation instructions
Thank you for asking, but i do not have one nor need a four bike rack.
What kind of trailer is that? I’ve been looking for something just like it!
the name of the trailer is Triton. (www.tritontrailers.com/)
You could have just figured out how to over ride the outlet that goes dead when driving. If I had to bet, it's going to be connected to the transmission, so it can sense when you're going to be driving.
The was on option but I did not want to change the wiring because of the warranty on the RV.
should the fork brace be tight when initially mounted prior to using tie-downs? I purchased one that mounted fairly tight and the only other model was several inches loose. Both before ratcheting the straps down.
The answer is no. Sometimes it is loose and sometimes not. It does not matter either case. My 250 FX is tight and my sons KTM is loose.
hi there, thanks 4 your vids! I have a 2013 wr250f, and i see you guys have wrs and yxfx. Is it a must change from wr to fx? Besides from specs which ive studied like suspension upgrades, weight, handling, etc, is there any pros and cons from mechanical problems, maintenances, inyection issues, relays, others that i should be awere? Im looking for trail and technical rides hoping none electrical issues, also im a diy guy and my wr its very easy to self maintain.. would the yzfs DEFINITELY change m riding/handling? Thanks!
Great question and right up my interest ally. I bought a YZFX instead of the WR for two reasons. If was fuel injected and did not need to be "uncorked" so to speak. I have no issues with the bike. The WR is a 50 state bike and has lower emissions which makes the bike sluggish. The YZ has all the power on tap with no modifications. I am a older guy and bought the tuner to slow it down a bit so it wasn't so jumpy on idle. Also I retuned the suspension to be similar to the WR, Soft and forgiving on slow trail rides. I do not regret my purchase and would do it again the same way. The bike is reliable so as long as you maintain the bike. Make sure water does not get into the relays and that the battery is always fresh. Marginal batteries I think cause most of the issues because the system needs a minimum voltage to work. The bottom line is that fuel injection is a no brainer and has more power. No need for tuning a carb. I may have strayed some from your question but I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.
@RMAGarage thanks a lot! Seems we have the same riding style... Could you detail a bit on those suspension and idle mods? Seems those are the way to get it similar to wr feeling. Are those mods doable from stock bike adjustments or an item to purchase? Couldn't remember which year those bikes had maps to adjust. Thanks again!
Just got mines today omb Warehouse here we go🎉
Let me know how it goes!
Hey man I got 2 questions. So mine no matter how I adjust it it scrubs the band some. Will it wear down the contact area over time so I no longer have to worry? And the cable slips through the thing often. Do you have any tips to keep it in place besides tightening it real hard
1. Our band did rub a little and then worn down enough not to rub. We did not see this as a problem. 2. We ended up using a bicycle cable feral to hold the cable in place. You know the kind that is used in cable pull brakes. That what worked for us.
@ ok thank you sir
I like the fact that this one has an actual stainless metal gun, not the cheap plastic click attachments many other brands offer. One note is I checked and Karcher does not offer any spare parts for the internals, so not possible to repair or fix any of the parts inside the pump which sucks.
Great review, helped with my purchase decision. Thank you.
You're Welcome.
What a crappy design. Should be all one piece
Still Works, though. Thanks for the comment.
How would you replace your city water intake valve on your 2015 leprechaun rv.
I sorry, I do not know. I never had too.
When l connect the hose to the city water connection l have water coming out the back of the connections . It seems there is a blockage and water wont go in.
Could it be a faulty intake valve.
Thank you so much. I was struggling to figure out how to put those wind straps on.
Glad I could help! thanks for the comment.
Have you ever camped during the winter? If so, how did you prevent the lines from freezing?
We have not. We did get caught one time where the temp went down to 32F. We turned on the tank heaters and kept the furnace at 68 degrees. Did not have a problem as all the water lines are in the heated space. There are ways to do it I just don't have the experience with it yet.
Any e chassis over 176” wheelbase is extended in the middle as well. This is most class c RVs past about 25 ft.
Thanks for the heads up. I did not know that. I will check it out.
Thank you. I just installed mine today. However I had the same problem with the vertical post and bike stays. I’ll swap mine around.
You're Welcome. thanks for the comment

Yep....Thanks,
Cool video thanks from down under
You're Welcome.
What size novels does it take cause I’m getting one and I want to get some quick connections in different nozzles
The size of the tips are 1/4"
Hey
Would you go for the short ramp if you were to buy again?
I would not. It is easier to load with the longer ramp and it doesn't take up much more space. Thanks for the question.
@@RMAGarage Thanks for getting back to me. Was tossing up between the two options.
@@RMAGarage Thanks, got the long ramp!
@@tcrossau You're Welcome
Didn't know clutch brakes existed thanks exactly what I needed for my custom bicycle 🚲
I'm glad you found the video helpful.
Next time you replace your tires install solid valve extenders that mount from inside the rim. Never have a problem again.
Good Idea. I will look into that. Thanks for commenting.
Any reason why you don't leave the black and grey tank valves open? Would seem to negate any chance of the valves being damaged.
I've never been asked that question before and do not know the answer. I know that when you keep the valve closed with antifreeze, It keeps the seal from drying out. If you leave it open, there is a chance that the valve will not seal properly when put back into service. Just a Thought.
Nice video, done indoors with a decent camera operator
I had just built my monkey bike in the pits before installing mine. I was in a rush trying to make it to tech.
Thanks for the comment.
Did you get any interest in people wanting to purchase mud flaps?
I did not.
Since you flush the toilet to pull antifreeze through, shouldn’t you also empty the black tank into a bucket just like you did with the gray tank?
Once the water is removed from the black tank and the antifreeze is in the black tank, you leave the antifreeze in the black tank so that the seal around the dump valves stays wet.
Great video
Thanks.
Was this RV made by Boeing?
LOL!!
Valve, not value! Had trouble searching your page for this video
Thanks for the heads up. I changed the title.
This was a very helpful video. Thank you so much.
You're Welcome. Thanks for the comment.
For the Flush valve, could I just put in some antifreeze versus using and air compressor?
Yes, you can use antifreeze. Obviously, making sure all the water is removed is the most important thing. Whether air pushing it out or antifreeze taking its place. Thanks for the question.
What oil grade does this bike use? This video is great.
I use Belray 5w fork oil. Thanks,
Finally a decent video showing the quirks and assembly, load and unload, ifs and or buts..........thanks for taking the time to give us a clue as to what we can expect..............have fun and be safe.
Thanks for the Comment.
Can you use this rack with two e-bikes how much weight does this hold all together
Both bike cradles are wide enough for ebikes sized tires but I would not go over 100 lbs total weight for both bikes.
I am going to build a walking ramp along side so I can put kick stand down .
Not a bad idea. I would like to see the end result. Thanks for the comment.
Thanks for the video! I press the button and just the fuel pump kicks on. I wonder if i stuck a jumper on it , if it would start then? Before i go spend $100 on a Battery, What do you think? I also already pulled the battery and charged it over night
So I see your logic and I had the same logic. Just charge the battery up and all is good. The problem is that the battery has to keep that charge to run the fuel pump and electronics. My battery appeared to be fine and I thought it was fully charged; however, it could not keep that charge to run the bike. If you can barrow a battery from someone to test if the bike starts and runs fine, then you will know if its the battery or not. I should have tried a known good battery before replacing parts. Hope this helps.
also, is there a way to lock the bikes? thanks
The only way to lock the bike would be a cable lock to the rack or to the vehicle.
what if I have a 1 1/4 hitch, can I use this with an adapter or something, or do they have another model that would work? thanks
I would not use 1 1/4" hitch with an adapter. I do not think they are strong enough for the rack and a full size dirt bike.
You do it when the oil is cold or hot ?
We did it when it was hot but I do not think it matters.
@@RMAGarage ok thx
Assuming those plugs are the same used in their automatic transmissions. T50/8mm allen. Just yesterday I have to deal with my in-laws 2012 fiesta. I had and tried the T50. I swear i thought I was going to twist off the teeth or destroy the plug. Went and bought the 8mm allen. That and a breaker bar worked.
Glad it worked out.
Suggestion: Remove fill plug before draining. Worse possible position to be in. You drained the transmission, but you can't fill it.
You are absolutely right. Won't do that again. Thanks for the comment.
I should have watched this before making my comment on the last video!!
I saw both comments and Appreciate them. The funny thing is I can say "I shouldn't made the second video before I made the first" LOL.
Great video! I have my inner strap set up hanging there on something (the rear wiper on my SUV...or you could drape it over the tailgate of the truck) so when I have the bike up there I can hook up the inside strap loose so that the bike hangs outwards a bit. Then I hook up the outer strap tight and then tighten the inner strap to plumb it up. Saves having to lean the bike against the vehicle. It would be nice if you could adjust the front/rear position of the rack so that you could get it as close to the vehicle as possible to reduce the overhung leverage effect. That hitch tightener bolt looks like a good idea...I use a different type of anti-rattle device hat works well but it wears a bit into the main square tube which creates a bit of stress concentration at the point of highest moment loading on the bar which is a bit disconcerting!
Thanks for the comment.
