Some people don't get that being a stay-at-home mom is literally a 24/7 job. You're always on call and you basically have to be a cook, therapist, nurse, etc. all in one. So people should shut up about stay-at-home moms being, "lazy."
And you don’t really get paid for taking care of the kids
Stay-at-home-moms work! We are also more likely to be involved at our kids' schools and activities. We don't get paid in legal tender (money). We get paid in hugs and kisses!
I had a conversation with someone with that mentality and I asked them: do you think babysitters, cleaning services, chefs, the people at a laundry/ironing businesses, etc. Are not workers?
They said yes, but those people do it for other people/homes, not their own. And they get paid for it.
I said: fine, you pay for your neighbor (the sahm in question) so it'd be a "real job" the fact that she isn't getting paid or is doing this for her own family doesn't make her work any less tiring.

Yes she should. She wants to treat her daughter special and the other daughters as strangers. They are her kids now too. She doesn't understand what marriage is.
@@loosiluno…she wants to maintain normalcy for her daughter while they are learning how to be a blended family. If it were her daughter’s father paying for the private school, her new husband wouldn’t demand that the ex pay for his children’s schooling. Plus I’m sure he knew about the private school BEFORE they got married & it doesn’t sound like he brought the issue up. He only brought it up AFTER they got married thinking that he could bully her into either upending her daughter’s life by removing her from the only school she’s known plus her friends & family since her cousins go there as well, or have his kids go to a private school without spending a dime. In blended families, sometimes things aren’t always fair…much like IRL.
Yup, don’t get how the husband thinks he can just ask someone else to pay for his 3 daughters to go to a private school, the brother and SIL were already being generous by paying for OP’s daughter to go to private school. OP needs to divorce her husband right away.

She is nstunningly entitled to think she can treat her daughter like a princess and not the others. This is not a marriage and this is not a real family. She is stunningly entitled for herself and her daughter.

The wedding story reminds me of this one woman who thought she could get the attention by wearing a white wedding dress... to an indian wedding. She was completely overshadowed and looked so out of place. It was bad...for her. For the rest it was funny.
That last story… she needs to divorce the husband. How could he be so entitled to think that he has the right to expect that people who owe him nothing have to spend thousands of dollars on private school when he can’t afford it himself? He doesn’t even pay for OP’s kid to go to private school, her brother did because he was being generous, and the husband is being greedy by trying to take advantage of that. Pisses me off to think people actually think like that. Trying to take advantage of nice and very generous people. How greedy can you get?

Yeah, no kidding. You marry into a family and treat your own daughter special, and the others like crap. That is not a marriage. That is an entitled woman who doesn't understand what marriage is. mThey have the same money now and all of their daughters deserve the same opportunities. If they can't afford it for all four, they can't afford it for just one. She should have not gotten married if she always intended to treat her daughter differenly.

First story: Beth is a "female dog", and she needs to learn to keep her mouth shut. Second story: sister-in-law did it to herself. Poster owes no apology. Third story: the new husband is a greedy idiot. They're his children so he needs to pay for their private school. The brother-in-law is paying for his blood niece.

While it’s true, they are all family now why is this issue just now coming up he had no issue with her daughter attending private school before getting married and he would’ve known. He also is aware that she’s not the one paying for it but the child’s biological uncle is, therefore he cannot ask the The Uncle to pay for three more kids from doing the math. It seems that that couple has three of their own and are also generously paying for their niece to go to a nicer school. It’s not fair to take that child out of their school that they have been going to their whole life, nor is it fair to take the other three children out of the school that they’ve been attending for their whole life and throw them into a private school solely because the husband and wife got married

If one child goes to private school and the step siblings go to public school, that's favoring her daughter. This is either a family or it isn't. The kids must be treated equally.
so would you rather have only one of your 4 kids have better opportunities, or none of them at all? all of them isn't a possibility. also, i get this would be favoritism if the parents paid for only one child. but in this case it's the aunt, who never signed up for taking care of another new part of the family.
How is it favoring when its not even her paying for her kid to go to said school? It's the supportive family helping out the sister. It's not the mother's fault her greedy, insecure husband couldn't afford to send his own kids to a private school. It's not like she's giving her daughter extremely fancy dresses and only getting the step kids cheap Walmart clothes which would be actual favoring...it's the father who can't afford to put all his kids in the same sort of expensive school.
You realize how messed up it is to completely change a kid's life just because their new stepfather got jealous of them having said life they did? That's a stepfather JEALOUS of his stepdaughter, jealous of what his new wife's family could afford to do. That's messed up...its an 8 yr old he's jealous of...
So because I was raised through a sucky public school growing up, it should only be fair my younger half sister and my brother need to be taken out of their really nice school and go through sucky school too? All kids must be treated equally of course! Only fair my siblings suffer just because I didn't have the same nice things they did or whatever. Yup. Totally fair to mess up another kid's life purely for the satisfaction of the others...
Not his kid not his responsibility. The husband has no right to ask the brother in law for money for his children that are strangers to him. And besides, it’s also not fair that the child be taken out of private school just to appease the other kids who probably don’t even care/are used to public school. If it’s that big of a deal than the kids should get a say too.

How are you doing sweetie? How are you feeling? I hope just great!! In the very first story, Beth is so obnoxious, crude, and very rude. The mom had every right to kick Beth out of her house because that is a very big no no; you never, ever go to someone else's house and diss them. Beth really desrved to be thr*shed fotr disrespecting the mom. Beth and the main protagonist's son needs to respect their elders. In the second story, the sister-in-law is just very jealous and envious too. The truth hurts but the sister-in-law definitely needed to be set straigh, and besides that's exactly what she get for trying to rebel and wear something completely different. The main protagonist is a grown woman and she doesn't have to apologize because she totally meant every single word of that. In the third story, that isn't her brother-in-laws responisiblity to help get her husband's daughter's into private school. The husband is just jealous of how wealthy his wife's brother-in-law is. Husband is 100% right. They are a family now, and you can't treat one daughter that much differently. OP should have never gotten married if she never intended to treat all 4 girls the same. She is too entitled for this marriage.
