This one I still believe is part of it. They actually bought the land and started to clear it. I do think they changed to be part of this someway down the monorail line. Someone said it was because of covid at the time but that wouldn't stop a company like this from building at the time.

The casinos are not approved yet. Siam legal has a good article on the proposed details. Licenses are 5 billion baht upfront plus 1 billion per year. However it all still faces final approval by Thai cabinet.
This is why they have been doing this and it isn't as bad as it was. They always said they can't fully fix it but the idea is to make it clear faster, which is happening.

As you are aware, the majority of economic activity in Thailand is informal in nature and as such the government responds in a similar way. One billion baht is the formal cost and then there will be informal costs. It's so hard to figure out who this situation might benefit. Yes, very difficult indeed. Overall, this is probably not good news for the western farang visiting Patraya ... In England the Hospitality industry is a crossroads: staffing shortages are at an all- time high. I’m a chef myself. But I don’t think I couldn’t work in a city like Pattaya. I supply different products from China to Casino's Vegas, Macau and Philippines, Singapore etc...some of these casinos local people usually are not permitted in the case of the Philippines you need your Passport to enter.. I have also heard the better locations will be Jomtien and the Pattaya tradeshow centre is also a great location.. Casino are a licence to print money. Resort family style will work well in Pattaya as it does in Macau especially for the Chinese.
Some of the hotels like the Hilton have already had the structure built and are ready to go. I hear Jomtien and near Utapao airport but at one billion baht per license I think the government will give them out to whoever can afford it.
If a parcel of land is being used for cropping it is exempt from land tax and my understanding of the law is planting 200 banana trees per rai meets the tax exempt criteria.
I remember the Avenue rumours from before covid. I liked the idea. But there might be some staffing problems now that we didn't see when this was last suggested. I agree that the layout is perfect for it though

She said that the 2nd hand market, at the end of Soi Bukhao, right side, towards South Rd. That the land there has been bought by Koreans and will become a new bar complex. Did you hear about this?
She may be mixed up with the other side on the north side by Witherspoon's, on the same side. There's like a large fruit and veg shop? That land has been bought for sure and 'we think' soapy massage/hotel will be built.

No way can a casino be in Pattaya....read the requirements the government has put in place. My guess is near the Ambassador... Near the airport, motorway, marina and the proposed Icon Siam. Casinos in Pattaya? Pattaya has a very good, unique, culture. I do not know if it aligns with the serious nature of casinos and gambling. Large amounts of money can make people do silly things. It will be interesting to see the new type of tourism and how it affects the environment.

You are a little wrong about unmarried fathers not have parental responsibility in the England and Wales. As long as the father attends the registration of the birth, hecwill have parental responsibility. The pitfalls of divorce in Thailand and the UK seem pretty similar.
i can see why they wouldnt allow thais in the casino ( although it would be rude to not be allowed into your own casino ) - but minimum bets at tables like blackjack - paigow - and baccara = minimum bets would be 150 baht at any table or any game ( other than slot machines ) and a thais avg salary is only 15000 b monthly - the casino couldnt / wouldnt allow bets under this as they would make no money to allow blackjack for 5 baht a hand - and a small night in a casino would be at least 1500 baht ( and that would only be 10 bets - who plays only 10 hands of blackjack - i could see ten spins on the roulette table but ... - and 1500 would be 10 percent of thier monthly salary = so essentially they cant afford to gamble = but what about the rich thai people as if they wouldnt allow them in ?

From what we are led to believe it was going to be a designated area near to the Utapao airport. But I always think some of the big brand hotels (Hilton as an example) came here on the basis they would be given licenses when it happens.

My bet would be by Utapao airport in a designated zone but at one billion baht per license could the government turn down that kind of revenue? It's easier for a hotel to convert as they already have the infrastructure. We will see but they are definitely coming.
Been rumoured for years... The rules say the casino can only be part of a entertainment, recreation or shopping complex...the ambassador is next to the marina and proposed Icon Siam mall. I also don't think the motorway link being there wasn't just a coincidence? Take 10-15 mins to utaphao...

Winning a pizza making contest in Naples is actually a pretty impressive feat.
The pizza was fabulous but it's different from what you normally get. The bread is very soft and I was impressed with the tomato base.
Nice looking pasta. It is a notch above the rest for sure.

The staffing would be down to the individual bars but yeah, it would need around 500 ladies.

No it is still there and doing very well the food is excellent. After I finished filming I popped in for a Wagyu steak it was class.

From what we are led to believe it was going to be a designated area near to the Utapao airport. But I always think some of the big brand hotels (Hilton as an example) came here on the basis they would be given licenses when it happens.

My rumour is the Ambassador complex just south of pattaya. Guess who owns the property.
My bet would be by Utapao airport in a designated zone but at one billion baht per license could the government turn down that kind of revenue? It's easier for a hotel to convert as they already have the infrastructure. We will see but they are definitely coming.
Been rumoured for years... The rules say the casino can only be part of a entertainment, recreation or shopping complex...the ambassador is next to the marina and proposed Icon Siam mall. I also don't think the motorway link being there wasn't just a coincidence? Take 10-15 mins to utaphao...
