- On Prime Time, we visit Hamidia Girls' Degree College in Allahabad to know whether women in their families have any say in their families' political beliefs. We also discuss other issues that concern Muslim girls in the country such as higher education and safety. (Audio in Hindi)

Well, it is not just about being Muslim that these girls are under so much restriction. It is also mainly because of the backwardness. There are lot of modern Muslims whose girls wear western dresses and study in top colleges.
These girls were also afraid because many of them belong to middle class families. In India, security is there mainly for rich families who have wide contacts. If poor or middle class people are raped or killed, then it is a daily affair for police, and such victims belong to all castes and religions.
Men will always try to snatch rights of women in family as they have always done. Women have to speak and stand up for their rights and dreams. Even if being poor or middle class, they have to be strong.
I am highly inspired by Erum's talks. If people like her come to power, they will work for all castes and religions and society will develop as a whole.

Muslim women are also daughters of mother India and they also have equal right of equality and to improve their lives. The education they get must be modern so they are also part of modern India. Muslim intellectuals must encourage girls education including computer to make them proud Indians.

I thank U for dis show on behalf of not only every woman but also every Muslim woman.Being a Muslim woman I felt it my duty to express my feelings generating my political thoughts to U. I belong to a densely populated Muslim area Tonk, Rajasthan and proud to tell u that we have a large community of Muslim women In govt job . This points to utter failure of Indian police system, which is run for the benefit of the politicians. Police Chief's should report to the local jila/gram/mohalla sabha, and have a compensation package (like executive bonus for corp execs) based on community rating.
