I own this same boat ‘17 with 115 and Jack plate. Yes the plug position sucks. It’s like 20” up the tunnel. One other disappointment is the bilge put output. It’s also in the tunnel. And when bailing out you can’t tell = if your taking on water you would never know cause you cannot see it pumping out. All in all it’s a nice boat. But has a few things they can sharpen up on.
I have a 2019 with a a 90 Merc. To me it is under powered Although a 115 isn’t going to make it considerably faster. So I do 34 mph at around 5,000 r.p.m. It is very stable and maneuverable at that speed. The biggest draw back on the 18 LTS is its seat. You cannot stand in the middle of the console and drive the boat. The average person will not fit in between the seat and the wheel. Something else I am not crazy about is the throttle. I don’t like where neutral is positioned . There is also too much lag between shifting gears (too much grind getting into gear). Also, water tends to gather in the well by the transom where the stopper fits in. Something else, don’t count on the gas gauge being accurate....it isn’t . I wish they would have added an engine gauge on the console. The live bait well tends to over flow. It needs mid cleats on the gunnel and bow and stern rod holders. The Cadillac of bay boats it isn’t .
Every boat benefits from tabs. They help holeshot. Side to side attitude as well as trim on the motor can only do so much. Trimming up with the motor and tabbing down gets the motor up and efficient and bow down to cut through chop
Lol, this boat DOES NOT plane very well (or at least absolutely sucks getting up on and maintaining it) unless you have a very light load. But, but 5 adults, fishing gear, and gas onboard and welp you'll find yourself REALLY struggling. Source: Hours and hours of asking owners of this boat everything about it because I wanted to buy one, now am getting something else.
That's not a good way to install that style of plug (1:26). It can get pulled out when caught on something under water like grass exc... A T-Handle style would work better or if you can install it from inside the boat is best. Just speaking from experience. Nice video and boat.
@@andrespacheco1141 Carolina skiff is a great place to start (little bit wetter of a ride, but you can make/buy modifications for $100-500), key west skiff is another 🤙
Yup. I also saw that. I have the same boat and you cannot stand up between the helm and the seat. It buckles you at the knees. You have to side steer it as he is. Or re mount the seat frame about 2-3” to the rear.

So what you're saying is you absolutely love this boat?
Curious, what you would recommend as an alternate boat?
@@secretjourney4815 Shii, half the price and get a carolina skiff, or up to the next level and get a boston whaler.
If the boat planes so well with it's hull design why the trim tabs?

How does one remove the drain plug when the boat is on a lift?
Good review, bad boat (in my opinion), just to many little things missing or not thought of properly. Appreciate the look at it all 🤙
Nice video

What is the maximum speed?
26-31 loaded, 29-33 dry, up it to a 150 and you'll get max low 40's dry... Very slow and underpowered boat lol, especially at the price point.
How far up under the hull is that plug?
About 20” . Definitely have to long arm it to reach it.
I wish it had rod lockers to lock rods in
I wish they actually put time, effort, and thought into this boat instead of trying to hype up b.s after the fact 😂
How about the price?
Prett sure the 2021 is around $25000
30k ,+
Now, it's about 32k, the 19' is about 38k, put all the bells and whistles and it's about 43k... Entirely not worth what you're getting.
Can this boat go inshore fishing? Please help
@@FloridaManJ ok thank you, how much of choppy waters can this boat take off of your experience with this boat inshores?
@@FloridaManJ ok thank you a lot.I may be getting one soon.

I want one
A Suzuki engine is lighter maybe should go for that outboard?
Has anyone tried poling on this boat?
Good luck lol, she's a heavy gal with a near "deep-v"
When I hit the lottery I gonna buy one for me and my kids
Do yourself a favor, and buy something WAY better lol y'all deserve it not to live with hassles.
The plug location is the reason I won't buy this boat
I see you have to stand off to the side of the steering wheel when standing
