Thanks for making this video, helped a lot trying to get it installed on my car, now when my uvo free trial expires im still set for starting the car in Alberta winters 😅
Hi. I own a 2018 kia stinger GT premium which is the Canadian version of the GT2 in the states. Even that I have the Canadian version I live in USA. I purchased my key premium so I will follow what you did to connect the harnesses. Thank you for the video
Thanks for finding this method which doesn't involve cutting. I'm trying this in my stinger right now, but I'm afraid of putting too much force, and something breaking. Where did you grip the vice grip on the bracket (I'm thinking it was at the front-middle). And how much flex was there when you bent it?
Did you have any luck with the remote start? Whenever I try mine after exiting the car and pressing the lock or holding it - the car just turns off after a few seconds
Sorry mate, I meant the turbo timer. How do you get yours to work? If I exit the car and it beeps to say the fobs out then if I either press or hold the handle lock button the car turns off. Cheers
Well done on the install. Sounds like you saw my pics on FB on the two cuts either side and then bending the bracket down. Interesting my autolock unlock feature was working from the start didn't need to enable using the brake / remote button
I did see the two cuts, I worried if I just folded it down I wouldn’t get the plastic panel back on. My auto lock also worked from the start, but I wanted to show how to program it and un program it as well.
I purchased this remote starter for my Hyundai. Immediately after plugging it in it shorted out my electrical system. My wiper, headlights and Heat/AC were dead. My car was at the Hyundai dealership for 145 days. The mechanic confirmed the remote starter shorted the system. I just got my car back and the company refuses to reimburse me the $1,800 for repairs. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT

Yeah that bracket is unnecessary. Haha

Blows my mind with how many subtle changes Kia motors made with the Stinger between years, models and countries they are in 😆
Yeah, it’s pretty crazy! That bracket is a pain in the ass.

I did get it installed there is 2 parts to this video. Mine works really well with no issues so far.

Glad you were able to figure out a way to get it installed! It must have cost a pretty penny in CAD....
It’s not to bad, I know a compustart set up is like 900.00.
@@OVRBoosted I'm pretty tempted to grab one. What did shipping cost?
Awesome job !! I wanted to get the mykey as the kia app to start the vehicle sucks.
I agree with you 100%

@@OVRBoosted yeah I only just got the plastic panel back on. It was a tight fit

That’s horrible. Was it a mykey?
