Nothing like a cup of warm coffee, and listening to this amazing LP. Thank you for doing this as I am one of the few who plays pretty much every record I own. (It's just meant to be played)
Thanks for sharing! I was curious to see what mixes they used... And it was interesting to see that they chose the '78 single mix of Strutter over the debut album version and the Double Platinum mix. Very cool!
What’s with that mix of Strutter? Maybe my ears are playing tricks on me but it sounds totally different! I love it! And congratulations Jason. What an incredible score 🤘
When Love Gun comes on...i totally thought it was the end of the album. And when it came on...i totally thought it was the beginning to Save Your Love. The intro sounds very different following Strutter '78
I have the same turntable. Upgrade the stylis to a VM95ML, you'll absolutely hear a difference. It's the red one in the same line. No inner groove distortion at all.
Hi Jason I am not saying i saw loads of em ,just that i remember seeing it at a few fairs back then and also a little record store in manchester market in the uk that would get all imports and stuff.
@@kissmykollectibles Dale Sherman's _Black Diamond II_ also lists Led Zeppelin, Beatles, and Rod Stewart as being in the series, but doesn't give any info on what volumes they were. Apparently the company that put that series out was based in Italy, despite being Japanese releases.
Have to tell you this vinyl was not rare at all ,you could pick it up for £25-£35 at most english record fairs back in the 90s as well as last licks ,burns media and the like, because most fans didnt know what they where or thought they were bootleg or weird import things which were not part of the kiss catalouge at the time and had little interest back then . Congrats on your find and the vid cheers.
There’s something magical about hearing Shandi on vinyl, takes me back to getting Unmasked for christmas 1980.

Great stuff. Weird to hear the full DRC album version on this. Ever thought of doing ones for Le Major De KISS and KISS The Singles?
You should do a video like this for that Rock n Roll over Radio promo thingy...
Yes please 😊
Sounds pretty damn good!

At least it's KISS on it

Hello Jason, nice found. Has this edition no OBI?
No obi for this series of records.
That a longer fade on Strutter? Or is that the 78 version?

You said they weren’t rare at all which is what prompted my question.
Hi Jason Yeah sorry for saying that they are super rare these days ,and not seen online much.
I know this is listed at #4 in the series but what other albums were in this series? I've never seen one for any other band
The first 2 are Stones. There’s also Rod Stewart and Cream. I’ve only found through #5. I think that’s all there were.

Where did they all go then? Because almost no collector I knew 35 years ago had a copy of it.
