Myself and my daughter who was 10 at that time were deeply disappointed when Miss Columbia was announced winner. She didn't even deserve to be in the top 10. Miss Pia was down to earth and it was very clear that she was humble, down to earth, kind and beautiful inside and out. She was the only person who deserved the title truly. She was not disappointed with the initial wrong announcement. Miss Columbia was just title savvy.

i watch this live 3 years ago i was numb when harvey called miss colombia the miss universe i was so sad that minute but in a few seconds when harvey corrected it that miss philippines is the real winner i went gaga! shouting at the top of my lungs! im became so joyful!!!

Only one will win. there is something to be said for losing gracefully. She have tons to learn from the winner, Pia Wurtzbach, who lost twice in Bb Pilipinas before getting a shot at Miss Universe. That's a lesson in humility, class, determination, and most of all winning and losing gracefully. She hasn't done anything but be a big baby and a sore loser. She should show sportsmanship by passing the crown to the real winner, hug and say congratulations to her. If she did that, I think she will gain more respect.

This is old, and I'm also a Filipino but I'd say, Stop insulting Miss. Colombia. Yes, Philippines won which I'm very proud of Pia herself as a Filipino peru, itatak mo Po sa kukuti mo na, it was a big Dissapointment to those fellow Colombians too. Imagine, Miss. Colombia is carrying her peoples pride, tapos she had the crown until Sir. Steve announce that it was a mistake. Duh, my point is. Stop with the insults. Think first before you say something that's not even right.
I'm sorry. I understand that she feels bad, and I would too. But she's REALLY bitter. She handled the situation all wrong. She posted a photo saying "the true miss universe" and I think she didn't truly deserve to win. Her true colors are revealed. All 80 delegates work for that moment. Only one will win. there is something to be said for losing gracefully. She have tons to learn from the winner, Pia Wurtzbach, who lost twice in Bb Pilipinas before getting a shot at Miss Universe. That's a lesson in humility, class, determination, and most of all winning and losing gracefully. She hasn't done anything but be a big baby and a sore loser. She should show sportsmanship by passing the crown to the real winner, hug and say congratulations to her. If she did that, I think she will gain more respect.
