Cool but I LIKE TRAIN
Oh geez someone knows the meme.
this is so fucking coool
you will not escape the maid das.
I like the part where the Infiltrator said 'it's infiltratin' time' and totally infiltrated all over Twisting Road's can
My only regret is I cannot like this more than once
@@irent5053 I got you broski.
This is getting old. Stop. I have seen comments like this on at least 20+ videos now. Please stop.
@@Phoenix-kn8uk But this one is actually kinda funny? I'm sure the other ones sucked or whatever but don't put shame to a good use of the meme!
@@KrispyKremeIsMaking yeah I know… I’m just tired of seeing it that’s all.
The shelter mimic is terrifying on a first play through if this was real
Thanks
Nah mod probably never saw one in my entire time and I completed all three routes

Ok, imagine you're a player who just bought this 'DLC.' You've been a long time rainworld fan and have done pretty much everything there is to do in the game. You push through the first few areas, absolutely loving the new biomechanical flora and fauna found in these new regions when you take a pipe into the experiment wing and see a combination of every single one of your worst fears in front of you. Your first reaction would be to be scared shitless as it runs towards you at rapid speeds, but as it nears you being prepared to lose karma and restart the room, it instead just sits next to you and idly looks at you with curiosity. Confused, wondering if the AI bugged out or something, you take this opportunity to throw a rock or spear at them, the creature runs away scared, and you're left either confused at how you managed to survive that vicious encounter or surprised at the revelation.
Lol
Lol
The chimera is a scrunkly for sure… definitely
When I was reading that, I could swear I heard Daz reading that. Pretty funny that I went back in the video to see if he did lol.
I feel bad
Shocking that the Chimera, arguably the most terrifying looking creature in this region concept, is probably also the friendliest and bestest boi.
the goof
I want to give it food and pet it
If the 'he' being referred to is Distant Frontier, then Daszombes is crafting a masterpiece of a storyline that deserves a fully fleshed-out mod.
it is
l like Distant Frontier but it sounds like he's going to be an antaganist kinda sad to me
@@CraigMenearFanaccountofficial He was supposed to be a villain from the start lmao. His goal is going full AM.
Hey uh I'm sorry but, what or who is 'Distant Frontier'? Was it in this one and I just didn't hear it? Or was it in a different one(if it is and it isn't a hassle, which one is it?)
@@asoupyferretnamedfar3634 Distant Frontier was the first iterator log Das made.

It’s interesting how almost all the creatures resemble actual microscopic organisms or resemble parasites.
also I like to think the local group can see what the infiltrator sees like the overseers IMAGEN THEM SEEING THE FLESH ROOMS
"one final request, make it quick." amazing lore👏
well, distant frontier is more terrifying than i thought
i'm curious about whatever the robot cancer is though and how twisting road got to this state, cant wait to see the logs!
İt seems like this was a program to rebel against DF but it backfired but seeing as he gives it to others, it's almost complete
@@ozgurruh2535 BINGO!!
@@ozgurruh2535 bro predicted Twisting Roads
Imagine FP, but he tries to gain admin with less sister killing.
That final "secret region" had me completely in shambles, great job as allways
That ending caught me so off guard i'm speechless
💀
I thought you were referencing to the murdering of TR but then...😂
At the end there, you can have put an alternate end by letting the infiltrator use the mandatory cooperation module to either take control of the puppet, or swapping places with it. Sounds like a cool concept to me but maybe it wouldn't have the impact you are looking for so I won't be particularly assertive in adding this to the lore
You would get an achievement called: The Sacrifice
Nonononono This NEEDS to be lore, imagine, Twisting Roads in a slugcat, guiding the other iterators in his local group towards expansion, then they build him a new can, with all the tragedy in the Distant Frontier saga I feel like we deserve this, I mean come on the iterators are (mostly) adorable
@@SevenRedSuns1296 this is a genuinely amazing idea.
Ok, that's a really cool idea.
As soon as you do it, your slugcat falls to the ground.
After a few seconds, Twisting Roads comes to their senses and the slugcat gets up. It turns around and gives you a confused look.
"...What?
What... did you... just do? What's all...?"
A few seconds pass as they ponder their situation.
"I see... I guess i'm not the only one in my group adept at biomechanics. Impressive."
"Though, i fail to understand... Why?"
"Were you programmed to do this, or was it an act of nobility?"
"Nevertheless, i thank you for your sacrifice. Rest assured that i will _not_ fail to deliver this data."
The poor iterators would not understand why the little slugcat they sent out is freaking out. Why it’s writing symbols only iterators and ancients could understand, and why it’s actively building a small metal cube and decorating it.
Having watched TRs log, I can say he was the hero we needed and he didn't deserve his fate pour one out for Twisting Roads.
I feel like the Inflitrator should have some sort of cybernetic implants to move easier in zero-g, since it _is_ supposed to inflitrate an iterator.
Maybe like some more-controlled artificer explosions?
turn their tail into the whiplash from ultrakill
So if I leave those defective neuron flies around, they'll form conga lines? HELL YEAH
"Iterator, i am trying to sneak around, but the sound of my pipe-diving keep alerting the guards"
HUGE fan of the bobbit worm inspired creature, huge fan of the cyclops lizard, huge fan of the wroach
this is such a cool idea AUGH
the flesh zone?? horrifying. I love it so much. The overall CONCEPT? incredible. I would love to see this mod come to life someday but for now I'm satisfied just imagining what it would be like
4th wall breaking idea; i wonder how the iterators would feel if they just stumbled upon logs from an unknown creature perfectly summarizing the plans they likely spent several cycles on in less than an hour, with indications that it was made for a large group.
Mogus here, I'm glad to have gotten to be a part of this and add my own little man made horror beyond our comprehension
Good jobb.
Hits different after the Twisting Roads log
Can't wait to see the culmination of all our work!

Little concept idea: what about desert world? The local iterator destroyed its ecosystem by draining all the water, maybe a newer model that was designed to not process the surrounding via overseers at all and couldnt react to the changing nature of his ressources, but this lead to not rain being the problem but the rise of the sun. Maybe this facility was made to research the weather interactions, thus weakening the atmosphere at that point, making the sun the only deadly constant. The flora and fauna has evolved to stay high above the ground, so many spiders and special vultures. Since it was a special research facility, slugcat has to find remaining data and send it via the local communications array. This slugcat is called the nomad, since it came from far away and since the difficulty would be to find some of the scarce shelters to flee from the sun. To do that, it (maybe a bit gross) share its former meals with the local animals to easily gain companions, or use as emergancy rocks. Since it has to travel a long time, it has a big food reserve and it can use hunter and survivor diet, yet isnt a perfect omnivore since the prey doesnt give that many food points anyway. The focus would be the interaction with animals and scavs, but not like the liniar overworld of the raindeer, but perks like getting into the underground tunnels to be safe from the sun or riding on some enemies to get to another location. An additional idea would be that you were send by some military base and you were just built to scout, so you already exceeded your main purpose and can only gain more cycles by collecting pearls to send back home, but this could also be annoying to be forced to search for lore. there could be sandstorm areas, points where the ecosystem meets the decay, oasis points, towers and since the downfall of the main region was overall climate research, maybe there could also be icy regions. The point should be, that the environment is mostly dead and still some creatures managed to survive, so you need to decide wether you need food or a companion, watch the critters trying to find remaining vegetation and fruits. For the iterator, id say its still active but without the cooling water, she needed to mess with the environment once more and produce heat at some point that leads to cooling wind inside of her memory arrays, so she has gotten kind of mad at some point and the hazards inside would be the overheating processors, molten metal etc. and the frost inside the now open memory chambers. Since its a research facility, it would be a complex of many Antennas and devices around one central tower, so I call it the "chandelier ", so like the wall but with horizontal intersections and bridges. Since this can was already built when watersupply was unstable, part of the inner machinery can be exposed to the cool outside to vent, like a drawer.
İnteresting idea but how would this connect to the main story this channel is telling. Maybe being sent out by DF to scout out where he can expand and find more iterator?
@@ozgurruh2535 oh, sorry, just discovered rainworld and thought about possible stories. To continue the story, DF would probaply be the one to send out scouts to expand and to gain the knowledge. For why this region exists, I guess it could be the last iterator before the ascension of the ancients, thus there would be no connection to any local group and no administrators, but with the only pieces of information being stand by and collect information, she would be the only one who can resolve the weather problems, like how 5p has gravity disruptors. I personally would like to see the dynamics with an iterator that wouldnt have the ascension lock, but just cant because the task itself is never finished. Like when you ask a calculator to divide by zero and after finishing that task, shut down, wich will never happen. Would save the ancients a lot of trouble if there arent so many hard wired processes that would need to check the intentions if the only way you can think is about your task and the only way you can interact is by observing. The name would be horizons resolution.
@@ozgurruh2535 sorry, got a bit of track:) DF should know all of his neighbours and even he cant expand forever. To find the knowledge he seeks, to improve watercirculation, its only ironic that the first and last iterators shall meet. As ive heared, he could control his scavs, so maybe its the conflict between both sides, DF wanting to get another facility and the possibility to expand even further and his opposition trying to save another "family member" from the fate the ancients chose. The slugcat could be a freeroaming agent for the local group who tries to succeed against the DF operators.

The thought of one's organs turning against them is terrifying.
cardiac arrest, allergies
@@eyemoisturizer I know about those, but I'm talking about something around this scale, not the organs or immune system overreacting and stuff, but turning into their own, horrific organisms that leech off of their old host from the inside out while they're fully aware of it.
Like a self-induced version of the Bone Hive SCP.
Cancer
@@nightfall3559 Ok, that's close enough.
Adapting the already freaky and alien innards of an iterator into something far more sinister and malicious is just genius. By now I know exactly what the rot is, and that detracts from the fear it initially imposed on me. But after escaping the creeping tendrils of the gluttonous daddies and entering the interior of Pebbles, I found myself so much more on edge and scared by all of the incomprehensible sights and sounds I was experiencing. To this day I still have little understanding of all those strange facets of an iterator can, and this project's imagining of a single experiment going wrong distorting the undocumented biology of an iterator in such a horrific and monstrous manner is brilliant.
Bro is it just me or is this "him" a distant frontier So I saying this becouse in golden strand video the code in descriptione said "rebellion brings twisted roads.
Cool
Will the Saint come to Ascend poor Twisting Roads, or will his suffering continue forever as the ecosystem slowly tears him apart? Find out next episode!
the complex as saint sounds like quite the easy mode considering how five pebbs turned out
I love to think that once retrieved the drive and climbing on the top of the can, Infiltrator points his beam in the sky, making a high whistling sound and waving around. Eventually beam turns green and second later the giant modified vulture bites the slugcat and snitch them away
"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE, UP, UP, AND AWAY"
YES, YES YES, oh i loved being a part of this...i kinda hope theirs an honorable mentions part cause their were so many cool creatures!
My man Twisting Roads had every cell in his body get up and walk away
My only issue with this concept is I wish the takeover mechanic was used more than just being the gimmick of the slugcat. Maybe it can be used on Twisting Roads in some way (like maybe the mass interferes in letting you kill Twisting Roads), or perhaps a way to get the two Chimera’s together for a small nice moment.
Other than that I love this idea! I think the Iterators are the most fascinating parts of Rain World so a story with so much focus on them is so cool to me
honestly i think one campaign where you play as a lone scavenger meeting the iterators instead of a slugcat would be pretty interesting
I agree
Oh man this was quite the project. Thank you for this experience Daz
Finally, a slugcat that understood the weakness of its flesh. It seems to have been disgusted by it
It’s closer to a a skatiari tbh
The chimera fucked me up, was not expecting the sad anime backstory
Rain Wolrd: The Complex? I actually find it quite simple.
20:58 :
Slugcat: NO FU*K OFF, I'M WARNING YOU
cyclops: No u
Slugcat: *pops eye like bubble* I WANRNED YOU-
I know this question is probably coming in late but would the Chimera trigger the Infiltrators red beam despite its passive nature? I could see it going both ways as while it is passive, it is quite literally a combination of some of the top predators.
There should be an optional quest to reunite both Kimeras. That way, they don't die alone ❤️
Unless it is a situation like adult noodleflies where they’ll tear each other apart the moment they see each other.

Another amazing region concept! Absolutely stunning, kudos to everyone who worked on this
At this point we’re basically making Rainworld 2
i feel really bad for the chimera
This is gonna be great I can feel it!
Only 4 minutes in but the video is already a banger! Loved working on this project :)
I absolutely LOVE everything to do with the chimera! the mix between all of the animals is effective and the subversion of expectation is peak quality. love how it turns out to be a peaceful and harmless animal no matter what it was created for.
Props to Das!
Instead of bringing up his character's sexuality randmonly when it is irrelevant for simingly no reason beyond twitter validation like so many others
Daszobes instead has the skill and maturity to only bring up the sexuality of his character in a situation where it's relevant : being within targeting rage of Iran's anty-gey missiles
10/10
i HATE when people just feel the need to spew their sexuality at anyone they meet, like i or really anyone else cares

I LOVETHIS SO MUCH 😭😭💖💝💕!!! Wonderful designs and story, and the overall effort just blows me away!! Great job everyone, fantastic work all of you! Unending thanks for this, this is an incredible work of art 😭💝💕💖⭐✨💫!!
here is what I think. The fleshy Rot-like stuff designed by TR to modify himself, like 5P. But, he used it in an important area, in this case the Memory Conflux, shutting him down, and causing all of this to happen. I'm not an IT guy, but biomass in the right area, such as at the Memory or the Motherboard can shut any machine down, no matter how large. Awaiting an expert opinion

Dronemaster is probably closest thing we will get to infiltrator
i find it funny how evry thing is just some normal looking high tech stuff but there just writing memory conflux witch is just nightmare fuel.
imagine playing that blind whitout spoiling yourself and any thing, and like you get trought most of the tower, but suddently you just end up in a place basicly made from flesh, you see abomination left and right, you get to the next shelter quikcly because you need to get befor rain or some thing happens, just for it to be a shelter mimic.
i honestly love the concept of an iterator can evolving into a complete ecosystem of creatures. its like of the rot was taken to 11 yet refused to completely turn into just a cancer blob, the writhing memory conflux is also really reminiscent of other works like the mystery flesh pit, which isnt a bad thing at all. i love this concept

I have personal slugcat, they're known as "the lookout" their ability is basically shadow clone jutsu or just cloning. As the name implies they're purpose is not just to do missions for the iterator whom made them, known as "Quickening Rust" but to also repair and defend his can.
This makes me remember metal gear a lot, idk why.
22:41 To be honest, the writing memory conflux remembered me of the "Mystery fesh pit National Park"
I remember being in school, and seeing Niko_the_frog draw the concepts during class
i feel like a good ability to have for the infiltrator would be to toggle the zero gravity off for itself for a little bit of time, making some sections way easier or to escape predators
