So, 2 yrs ago I started reading books as hobby and I have read 25+ books till date excluding those I have left reading in the middle. They were most fictional books full of suspense and twists. My fav author is enid blyton of whom I have read 15-18 books alone❤❤. I have also read The Alchemist, ikigai, the girl in room 105 ( My Fav till date ), Malala, etc,. And over these yrs i realise how fascinating this activity is. My goal is to read 20+ books in this acedemic session of 2024-2025. Currently I am reading " like the flowing river " by Paulo Choelho😊😊

I have gotten very addicted towards reading books in my grade 7 when I i was 12. I was from a different place and a new school, hence not having many friends. I read about 300 books that year... atleast reading one full book per day ( Nancy Drew, Hardy boys, Enid Blyton's books, sagas....)Counted it because its all written in my journal. Such an amazing journey. Currently, 18 and still loves to read anytime.

I am also been reading quite a lot for past few months. It really a best hobby, and I am grateful that I decided to indulge myself into reading instead of doomed scrolling. I have noticed a change in my empathy, concentration, imagining, and vocabulary-a tremendous change. Isn't it mind-blowing, a single reading hobby can encompass such great improvement in an individual.
Recently, I have finished "The Midnight Library" by Matt Haig. And started to read "Sherlock Holmes" by Arthur Conan Doyle.

I've always been a bookworm. Started reading non-picture books at around 8. My taste has evolved and I've dipped my proverbial toes in many waters (genres). I believe I've read 2500+ books. I'm 24 now. I mostly go through 2 books in 1 day or 5 in two. Sometimes more but i love voluminous books. It's like teleporting to another universe for a while. I know I'm more open-minded, a better listener and more empathetic thanks to the thousands of hours emersed in my mini worlds. Had to cut down the time spent on reading 'cause of adulting

Audio books are not the same as reading. Reading uses sense of sight while audio books uses sense of hearing. While reading one can pause and ponder at even every word letting the mind wild with imagination trying to create what the author has put into the words. This is not the case while listening to audio books.

@@ravishankars1612 Thanks for sharing your perspective! You make some great points. Both formats have their own strengths, and it’s wonderful that we have options to enjoy stories and information in different ways. 😊

@@ravishankars1612 for one aspect i believe you are right, reading is stronger on the brain however many times when i listen i still have to use my imagination of the example the author was giving us. I guess it depends on what you are listening, but the imagination part you talked about can be applied while listening too

Referring a book is better than reading a book when you read a book you blindly accept what's been told in the book. I prefer think on a topic on your own. Maybe to get a clarity we can refer a book..

I also think that. Occasionally, when I come across a topic that's ambiguous, I take a moment to reflect on my own opinion about it.

Is there anyone out there that doesn't know what a book is and what reading is and learning is? This kind of video is crap.

Bro how do you get such confidence. 😅 effect is a noun whereas affect is a verb.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! Books definitely have a unique way of engaging our brains and helping us process information deeply. While technology and digital content have their pros and cons, balancing them with reading can offer the best of both worlds. It's all about using these tools mindfully. 😊📚💻
