British news bloopers are very rare due to the professionalism and expertise shown
Anifyou believe that you’ll believe anything 😂
Remember when it used to be stick on symbols and Michael Fish "lost the F in Fog"?
@@wrorchestra1
Oh was that Michael Fish?! I thought it was Francis whatshisface (sorry can't recall his surname!!) I do recall the "missing 'F' in fog" though... 😊😊😊😊😊
@@brigidsingleton1596 it could have been, I was very young and only really remembered Michael Fish and Ian McCaskill. Oh and Wincy Willis, of course!
@@wrorchestra1
Yes, I remember them too...and there was another one but I forget his name too.
You might be right though - about it being
Michael Fish. I just never recall names, or,
I recall names, but not the faces to whom they belong!! 🤨🤔😟
i remember micheal fish getting the weather so wrong one very well
I met him in a pub many years later, lovely man.
Yeahhh I remember that one, wasn’t fun lol
It wasn't a hurricane tho, he wasn't entirely wrong.
@@spacechannelfiverHe said there would be a “stiff westerly wind” and had 25mph on the map. I was watching it an hour after I had watched our own weather forecast here in Ireland. They had predicted a proper storm but didn’t know where it would land.
@@spacechannelfiver what ever they wanted to called it caused a lot of damage which he said wasn’t going to happen
One reason weather people bloopers are rare in the UK is that the weather presenters are not tv professionals. They are qualified meteoroligists contracted by the BBC from the government-funded Meteorology Office.
But why would that make them rare? If anything unprofessional (as you put it) presenters are likely to make more bloopers.🤷♂
Just a conversation, just I don't see why them being 'unseasoned' would make them less prone to bloopers. Seems to me it would make them more prone.
Unless you're saying 'those in control' are far less likely to let out any blunders made by amateurs in their midst. Really?
Watch “it’ll be alright on the night” for 80’s to 2000’s bloopers across the British TV channels.
Whoever is the compere destroys it every time though.
The BBC does not "mess up alot" which is why the bloopers are particularly funny. The licence fee is £169.50 per year but people who are blind and those over 75 years old are not charged, nor are people living in care homes.Hotels and mobile units are not charged either. It's well worth the money. What else could one buy for 46p per day these days?!! Black and white TVs cost £57 per year for the licence but I have not encountered anyone owning such a TV for decades!
Over 75s don’t pay license fee, oh yes we do.
@@greatunwashed1856The BBC is a state propaganda channel just listening to their Russia phobia makes me sick! And don't even mention their Zionist anti Palestine agenda.
It’s not worth the money when you’re supporting an anti-British woke corporation. I stopped watching years ago and no longer have to pay that extortionate amount of money.
Still we wait for Tomasz's rude gesture :)
I'd say Bill's the winner here with _'It's going to be boiling in Town Name!'_
I liked the one where the sticky weather symbols fell off the chart and the weatherman said sorry about the F in FOG !
The ball looks like a crystal ball because forecasting weather is like telling the future from a crystal ball 😂😂
I was hoping for Jonathan Pie's Thank you video.
Tomasz Schafernaker's best weren't on this video. One where he gets caught live giving Simon McCoy the middle finger, & the time when he was talking on his phone & tried to hide the fact.
Also I've just remembered that a UK TV show from the 80's - onwards used to have bloopers on it called "it'll be alright on the night" that was full of classics. Also there was a programme called "Beadles about" where a presenter used to disguise himself and pretend to be a professional contractor of some sorts and gradually completely destroy the place he was working on. Hidden cameras everywhere and actors involved. Some of the chaos that was caused in some of those shows were hilarious. Hope you check em out you boomerite muppets, much love, Leon from Leicester
I watch these Loads of times there so funny and the best ever 😂😂😂😂
the one where the cloud fell of is because in the 70s and 80s it was just stick on weather pictures
Not the BBC but on the ITV News... "Good evening
Paedophiles..."
(No pause for breath... Sounded so funny, think it was Chris Ship?)
The reason for the crystal ball is part of the BBC's past idents. Mid 1960's they started showing a spinning globe. It went colour in 1969 and redesigned. The globe went digital in 1988 and in the 90's it was gone but the 1 in BBC1 was circled. The globe returned in early 2000's with hot air ballons filmed around the country in 16:9. They did change completely featuring people. I haven't watched BBC for quite sometime so I have no idea what their logo is now.
There was a single brought out in the late 80s called “John Kettley is a weatherman”. And so is Michael Fish.
🎵 and so is Ian McCaskill 🎶
I saw the lightning balls/ bolts live.Had to double check I heard him correctly haha So funny!
The clip at 6:15 was celebrating BBC Breakfast Time being 30 years old. (Started in 1983)
They showed how the maps were shown in the past.
The cloud falling off was to remind us how the old magnetic symbols used to fall off sometimes.
We pay £170 a year and get:
- 4 national TV channels and 2 national kids TV channels
- Regional channels for Scotland & Wales
- 2 channels dedicated to News & Parliament
- All of the above TV live & archive available online via the BBCiPlayer
- 15 national radio channels
- plus regional channels in Scotland, Ireland & Wales, available both in English and their native languages
- plus 41 'local' channels across the different counties
- plus one international channel - the World Service
- and all of the above radio channels available live and archived on BBC Sounds
...all for 46.5 pence per day- outstanding value!
I get catch up tv from all channels that offer it except BBC iPlayer and all the radio stations including BBC for £0.00 per day! Bargain!😅
How is it outstanding value if people are forced to pay it and threatened with prison if they don't?
The radio channels don't count and you still need a TV licence (which is solely funding the BBC) even if you only wanted to watch commercial TV. I guess they don't have the tech to discern what you're watching in enough detail. I am not anti-licence but it's still quite unfair.
@andymerrett
Wrong, the BBC get 65% of the licence fee not all of it.
1st clip should have had some shouting "Fenton" in the background ;)
😂
"Ohhhhhh deeeeer...... FENTON... Fenton... Jesus Christ... FENTON" !!
😊😅😂
I remember one where the letters were mixed up and spelled GOF and he just looked at it dumbfounded!
Best one is from Irish TV with the presenter telling everyone to stay at home. Not a blooper but a real life whopper. MUST SEE!!!
Play us some American news bloopers mr boomer 🙏🏻 it'll be funny as hell man 😂 it can't hurt to spread the love from over the pond once in a while ❤
It’s the tv licence but it also pays for more than just the BBC TV channels , it pays for radio and several digital broadcasting methods Freely (iptv), freeview (digital aerial) and Freesat (satellite) and a few other things.
the one with the cloud falling off was an 80s weather board where they stuck the weather clouds on and fall off
The one at about 6 minutes 20 seconds was someone in the control room playing silly buggers.
The presenter was showing off the no doubt new that very day high resolution computer graphics so someone (to her obvious confusion) slipped in clips of what looked like early 60s and mid 70s weather in an attempt to be funny.
The older ones with magnet symbols were funny , I remember Michael Fish , famous for saying there wasn't going to be a hurricane , looking very annoyed a few weeks later when his map was covered in gof instead of fog - a couple of letters promptly dropped off .
I can't remember when its been close to 20 in October, but then again I have seen it snow abit around June or July before in Sheffield.
The most hilarious part of any BBC Weather forecast, is when they raid their children's crayons box to find the most reddish colour for temperatures over 18C
Maybe the crystal ball is there because they're trying to look into the future.
Not a crystal ball ment to represent a rain drop
As long as it doesn't get too hot in the UK. Think of all those poor people with Dave's Syndrome!
I doubt that the ghost was on Halloween because the weather isn't as warm at that time of year! So heaven knows why it was there.
Search "British Weather: Hurricane of 1987" the most iconic and epic fail of weather forecasting in the history of Britain.
Always brightened m'day seeing (and hearing) Carol Kirkwood. She'd brighten even the gloomiest weather report, lush.
You have a TV license you have to pay for local TV channels. If you don't pay they will arrest you. It pays for no commercials that's one of the reasons why my parents decided to leave England and head to America. My mother was 8 month pregnant with me my parents didn't pay the TV license for a few months. So they were going to arrest my mom and my dad said f this country we're moving to America the best thing we ever did...
Try Russ Abbot lie detector very funny
The BBC used to be a professional outfit - I’ve no idea what they’re supposed to be now. A joke perhaps?
Please react to Jeremy Kyle UK!! It crazy.
React to Britains Biggest storm october 1987 documentary
Or The storm that struck britain
You guys don't do Movember?
Please do a reaction to Peter Kays lyrics misheard. I pissed myself laughing. An for hardcore check out Jimmy Carys most offensive jokes.
*Jimmy Carr ?
Peter Kay has ruined a few weather forecasts on TV too: ua-cam.com/video/2TAcHdoDV0I/v-deo.html
The tv license is yearly.
*Licence ...
It depends on how you pay for it, you can pay for it fortnightly and monthly also
I only watch Would I lie to you as nothing else imo. My TV licence is my birthday present from my family as I'd willingly not bother watching and paying but my family disagree. Imo. 🇬🇧🤔
When are you starting Red Dwarf!?
I’m on season 8 on Patreon. UA-cam blocks most of my show reactions.
@@KingBoomer oh no way, didnt know you were that deep in. Good to know.
Look up Jeremy Hunt bloopers funny but you might not be able to use it
i do not pay 175 quid as i do not watch the bs or itv , such a waste of space , and i am legal to do it as electronically every year they send form i return form .
Jonathan pie releasing more videos after the election😂😂😂😂 react to them please
Please watch balls of steel
That was rubbish. What happened to Thomaz giving the middle finger to the news presenters.
I used to watch a UA-cam channel dedicated to news bloopers but they made it unwatchable with a stupid ai voice over that just described what you were seeing.
Yes Weather is controlled so its all Propaganda
I think you just found out why you have trouble finding weather forecast bloopers....ie they are less interesting than the weather forecast.
Best one is from Irish TV with the presenter telling everyone to stay at home. Not a blooper but a real life whopper. MUST SEE!!!
