Hi Lizzy! UA-cam threw your channel my way this evening and I'm so glad it did! I like the variety of patterns that you stitch. Your Prairie Schooler Santa turned out so good. Have a great weekend!
@@WendysWhimsicalStitches so glad it did as well, so glad to have you hear and thank you for your kind words💕 I just went to your channel and saved some videos for later can't wait to go watch!
With Q-snaps, some people a piece of white/cream coloured felt between the Q-snap ...this tightens it up. I've also heard of people using the foam/rubbery shelf lining stuff in the same way. It is sold by the roll like wax paper in the home goods area of Walmart etc. Good luck with your move!
My Hobby Lobby is also changing the cross stitch section too. They use to have a lot of 18-count aida and now they do not have any at all. I use 18-count a lot. They use to have a lot of kits and now they have very few of them. I am really disappointed in how they designed it. Love your Santa from the Prairie Schooler. Happy Stitching.
Thats so disappointing, they used to have the best cross stitch selection of the craft stores near me with not having a local needlework shop. (The best DMC prices too) thank you for watching, happy stitching to you!!
Terrific finishes! And great job on the aquarium SAL! I love the summer SAL... definitely don't rip it all out! I would give it to my sister make those decision and return to me to finish!! LOL Do you have a stitchy friend who could sort it out for you?! If not, I would restart because it is fab!
Thank you so much, I my goodness I didn't even think about passing it on for somebody to help me decided. I've already ripped it out to plan a restart but what a great idea!
Have you seen the Blackbird LF mystery or the market release that uses two colors of fabric? They both graft two or more pieces together. You could make it a feature by using a different color of fabric, maybe a grass green? It's not hard. You stitch the upper part down to the break, turn under that part that is going into the seam along a single horizontal thread and finger press it hard to get a straight clean edge, then you just have to match up the threads in the ground fabrics and ladder stitch the top fabric to the bottom fabric. Then stitch away!. Good luck
@@Lizzyspurplecloud Look for "The Pumpkin House" by Liz Matthews and "Heart and Home Patchwork" by Blackbird Designs (in "A Heart Remembers") for examples of the technique. I've recently kitted up the BBD one, so I'll be experimenting right along with you! Glad I could help with the rescue!
Interesting side note. MammaLovesYouGB showed an antique sampler in her last flosstube that has this type of 'extension' - done AFTER the top border was finished. The entire finished border was folded under, the design extended and the top border was then re-done on the extension piece. Our foremothers ran out of linen or miscalculated, too!
Hey Lizzy, have you ever tried a Morgan hoop? I get mine from Amazon and I love tension that I get with my fabric. I also love the Nerge hoops. I get my fabric really tight with both.
I'm a firm Hobby Lobby patron but I find myself spending less and less time there. Lately, I've had to go to Joanns after shopping at HL to get cross stitch items that HL doesn't have.
It really is disappointing, even looking for certain floss colors there was a few they no longer carry. I'm going to try Joann's next time and maybe I'll have better luck. My Michael's is super limited and charges more for floss and needles as well so I try not to go there unless i have too.
Lizzy...best wishes on your move...love everything you shared❤
Hey there. Just found your Flosstube. I loved it. Can't wait for your next one. Good luck with your moving. 😊
So glad you enjoyed, thank you for watching and the well wishes ☺️ happy stitching!

aww that'd be nice of you. Hope you like it 🤞🏻😄 Looking forward to your next video. I watched a few of them last night.
Your aquarium is looking so good😍! I am more behind than that even, but the releases keep coming haha🤪🤪
Haha that they do, it really would be nice if they could just pause for about a month to let us catch up 😅🤪
Great finishes. As always enjoyed the content. Cross My Stitches has a floss tube video on how to soften Aida. Thanks Lizzy
Going to watch that today thank you! Thank you for your continued support!🤗

No I haven't seen that, I'll have to look it up! That is a wonderful idea I never would have thought of that, thank you for sharing!

No I have not, thank you for the recommendation! I love a tight fabric as well so I'll have to give them a look!
Could you make the camper into a small? It is so cute.
That's a wonderful idea, it really is adorable! I may just do that, thank you!
