This has been on my mind for the past couple of weeks. I knew you had to bee getting closer and today I got my answer. What an awesome video!! Thanks so much for sharing!!
My first year using a honey press from Amazon. One valuable lesson i learned doing it by myself. Once the honey really started to flow like yours at the 15:45 time stamp, there us no stopping it. I made a BIG mess. Think i will put mine into a 5 gal. Bucket with a gate on it. I put mine into pint size jars snd I didn't keep up. Regulars that i sell to said its my best honey yet. Yea bees
Sorry for the late response, We generally have a few hive beetles, but we can easily knock them off when we extract the frames. They aren't too much of a problem.
Any tips on getting the wax out after pressing? Do you fill the whole container with the comb to be pressed? I did this once before and the block of wax in the bottom was in pretty tight and took some doing to get out. Thanks again!
It’s a little effort to get the wax out but we made it work. I basically unscrew the press until the container hits the top of the frame and forces the wax out the bottom. Then we use hot water to clean everything and it’s ready for next year!
Yep, it’s honey harvest time. Looks like you and your bees had a good year. Congratulations.
Thank you, honey harvest is right up there with swarm season as our favorite times of the year.

I need to get me one of those presses.
Nice! About to harvest this weekend and next. I have the same press and love the flavor of the honey when using it.
Love the press, easy to use and easy to clean!

We had plenty of Jars handy to prevent that situation! Sticky floors aren't fun. Glad people enjoy your honey!
The bees got that sticky yicky
Thanks for sharing another great video! How did you eventually get all those bees off the frames?
Thanks! Had to use a brush once we got away from the hive.
What’s your hive beetle situation up there? Have watched many of your videos and don’t recall you complaining of any.
