This video outlines my first month of seriously learning the Russian language. It has been great fun so far and I am looking forward to the rest of the journey. It’s a difficult language to learn. The grammar is super hard and some things are difficult to pronounce for an English speaker like myself. Despite all this it is still a beautiful language and I encourage anyone to learn some Russian. You won’t be disappointed.

I'm French and I've been learning Russian on my own every day for three months now, and I'm pretty sure I couldn't say properly half of the things you said x) Though I'm focusing more on learning words and understanding the logic of the language for now and then I'll move on to make my own sentences. Yes, our language structure and a word order are too complicated! I know that and explain such moments in my PDF lessons. Good luck with your Russian!

The language is both complex and easy at the same time. in it, for example, the word order is not very important as in German: Петя вышел на улицу. На улицу вышел Петя. But sometimes there are very complex words and sentences, where one comma can change the whole meaning, here is a phrase of one Russian tsar: "казнить нельзя, помиловать" и казнить, нельзя помиловать"
I am learning it for three days and I can say better than he did. It all depends on us, how smart we study 🙏🏻🇮🇳🇷🇺

My native language is Ukrainian (similar to russian), but mostly we speak russian in my region. English is my second language, I've been learning it for years, tho. I have to say that your russian is splendid!!! I wish I could learn English that fast🤷♀️ Спасибо за видео!

I like it so much when foreigners speak Russian with their own accent. You are all great fellows. But I don’t blame you, Russian grammar is really very difficult, even for me, who lives in Russia, it’s very hard to learn it.

honest question. Was this scripted or on the fly? I use videos to track my progress as well in the languages I'm learning so the first few months I always say something scripted and practice pronouncing it. After the 6 month mark I still script my videos but I can adlib some things because my exposure would have increased my vocabulary that would enable me to do so but again it's still planned. Clarifying for others who would want to start learning languages but might feel defeated if they didn't speak like you after a month.
Woaw you are a genius for the languages;, so cool : a true Genius ! I was not shocked of your German level after 6 months because your mother language is English and even with my Dutch as second language I learned German very soon and very easily. But for Russian, you have nothing at the begining. You are wonderful !!! I speak Spanish, English, Dutch German and of course French. I tried to learn Russian during a FULL year and my level is quite under yours. You are extremely strong. It could be interesting you explain more accurately how you did to learn Russian so fast and so good. Maybe I will try again to learn Russian, it was my only failure in learning a new language. You gave me hope it is possible )))).

Yes It goes away when you do not speak but it comes quickly back. I am sure that if you go some weeks in France all comes back very soon ;-)

@@GermanWithJay Congratulations on your learning process learning Russian and German, have I missed any other language you learnt or going to learn? 🙂. I am very keen on the method if learning Russian by watching UA-cam videos in Russian language trying to understand what is actually being said and remember those words and sentences in a context that way as opposed to the 'classical' method learning a language by grammar first. So you know Fedor Shirin's You Tube Channel called 'Be fluent in Russian'? Fantastic channel with hundreds of free video tutorials explaining everything in a very good way. In particular for me who is now trying to learn Russian from English as a base. I am a native German speaker, who finds it strangely more easy to do it that way other than from my native language🤪.

I can help in learning Russian, as I am a native speaker of this language. The first two classes will be absolutely free. Научу понимать утонченные фразы и слова, если не выупаешь* их, дабы ужн скоро понимать русов*. I speak English well,so there will be no problems.
