Estefanía Izaguirre Well, the whole point of getting married in a church, is to recieve God's blessing. Queen Victoria's wedding also was a bit long. Why bother asking a priest to wed you if you don't want to listen to a sermon, and actually do the ceremony? Might as well be honest and go for a more simple occasion and be married in a Government office by a judge or mayor.
If you are a practicing Christian a wedding is a very important moment between you, your fiance and God. It is one of the most special events of your life. It should not be rushed so people can eat. Most royal families intermarry, including the current British monarchy. Both Elizabeth and Philip are Victoria's great great grandchildren. Because so many of Victoria's children and grandchildren married into other European royal families, Elizabeth and Philip are second cousins on one side of the family and third cousins on the other side.
@@rosemorris7912, if you really look at the family trees of the major European Royal families, the vast majority of the current (and deposed) monarchs, including Elizabeth II, are descended from Queen Victoria (House of Hannover; the ruling house becoming the House of Saxe-Coeburg-Gotha, renamed Windsor in 1917, upon her death in 1901) and King Christian IX of Denmark (House of Glücksburg, which will become(?) the House of Monpezat or Glücksburg-Montpezat as the Crown Prince is agnatically descended from Prince Consort Henri of Montpezat). Well, that was pretty standard back in the 19th century. Royalty was expected to marry other royalty, which meant that they all intermarried in fairly small circles. This actually caused Victoria a great deal of trouble when their eldest son Bertie became old enough to marry, because there was simply no suitable princess available at the time. She even wrote to her eldest daughter Vicky asking her to help find her brother a bride of a suitably royal background. Alexandra of Denmark was pretty much chosen by default.

Ashley Gonzalez yes but I believe she was so use to Victoria’s schedule that she kinda just did the same thing every morning. She probably thought they where like most arranged marriages and slept together once, right when they got back from the wedding, then that was that. But Victoria LOVED sex so they kept getting it on all night. They where both Virgins and I believe after the first round, Victoria wanted to try again, then she started to have some fun when it was not painful anymore. Next thing you know, they are still having sex in the morning, and her assistant would have never thought that. She probably thought Victoria had sex after the wedding because it was an arranged marriage and she did what she had to do. In reality , Victoria had sex with him for the first time, but they where both so young they kept doing it all night. Imagine being a 20 year old virgin and the chemistry they had! Most arranged marriages don’t end up well but they had an amazing chemistry so I’m sure after the first time they had sex, then a few minutes later, they did it again, and so on. Victoria got pregnant literally 9 months after her wedding. They had a crazy wedding night, as both of them were virgins. I think that is why they fell so deeply in love. Not just sex but the fact they had such amazing chemistry for each other.
michele guettaf it doesnt really make me feel like we are on a wedding but I'm not christian so i'm not really familiar with the traditions of the church. However they still remain a beautiful couple .
It wasn't the fashion of the time. Not only did brides not cover their face but it wasn't the custom to wear white either, brides simply wore their "best dress" whatever colour that was. Victoria's decision to wear a white dress actually started the fashion for white dresses that we now think of as bridal wear. The fashion for brides to wear a tulle 'blusher' veil really only started in the 20th century, before that it was customary for brides to wear a lace veil as lace was considered "special occasion" due to it's expense, and as a covering for their head not their face.
Not sure why the writers did not refer to the historical sources with regards to the wedding details, Why they had no royal fanfare processional music for the bride considering that by that time she was a crowned sovereign. Also the wedding took place at the Chapel Royal of St.James palace not in a grand church. Also the boys of the chapel royal choir never wear cassocks and surplices they would have worn their Tudor style court uniforms (they still do). Also until relatively recently, no one ever applauded during a church service Royal or otherwise.
I love how she didn't carry a huge bouquet and wore flowers in her hair. It's so simple and lovely at the same time!
That was done with purpose by Queen Victoria. She wanted to marry Prince Albert as a "ordinary woman" not as a Queen. She ushered in the tradition of the white wedding gown, flowers, and other wedding traditions celebrated to this day.

Not just sex but the fact they had such amazing chemistry for each other.

why is she not wearing her veil infront of her face?
Isabella Bornberg Must be how she did it in real life
It wasn't the fashion of the time.

En que canal pasan la serie? No he podido encontrarla
Name of the movie or show?
Contemporary shows are always depicting people of the past by good looking actors when in fact most people of the past are filled with ugliness!
This would be more romantic if they weren't first cousins
I don't think this Albert seems German. I think he seems latin or Greek.
Sharon M Yess I think so . He is like spanis.
He looks like Boran Kuzum. Boran acted a Greek Soldier in Wounded Love
Sinsi Hobbit Yeeeeeeeaaaah
Albert's family was from southern Germany. People from southern Germany tend to have darker hair and eyes.
What is the name of this movie
Name of this series???
Not sure why the writers did not refer to the historical sources with regards to the wedding details, Why they had no royal fanfare processional music for the bride considering that by that time she was a crowned sovereign. Also the wedding took place at the Chapel Royal of St.James palace not in a grand church. Also the boys of the chapel royal choir never wear cassocks and surplices they would have worn their Tudor style court uniforms (they still do). Also until relatively recently, no one ever applauded during a church service Royal or otherwise.
Which series is this?
Still looking for season 2 parr
