What a beautiful version of this lovely song... It was just typical of Glen to put so much feeling into a song... There will NEVER be anyone to equal him... It would bring tears to the hardest heart. x
I'm 64 and Glen Campbell is one of the best voices of my genaration. He had some rough times,But most of us did.His wonderful music will not be forgotten.
Amazing voice as many that have gone on before. Never again will this world enjoy such talent as Glen and many like him. He has a way to bring the real feelings out.
I've always loved this song and Glen Campbell and Neil Diamond have the absolute two best versions on the planet....and this is the better of the two. I'm glad that I got to see him live before he quit touring.
Leon Spicer My husband of 44 years passed 6 years ago. He flew C 130s to Vlet Nam . He died as a result of Agent Orange. I miss him so much . He was a very good man This song is touching my heart ! Glen has always melted my heart. I pray for him.
This is my favorite song by Glen, he's so good, it was really hard to pick just one but no one can sing this song as well as him. A lot of others did record but he's the best!!!
I suppose I saw and recorded most of Glen's shows and would play most all his songs over and over. At 77, tears start to flow more easily and the memories wash back into my mind. This one is so good. Thanks for a fine presentation.
Ive looked for someone who could sing this song as good as Tom Paxton,,,,, Who else! Glen Campbell!! Was there anything he couldn't sing or do? Glen was absolutely amazing,,,
Neil Diamond also does a spine tingling cover of this beautiful song. He stated that he wished he had written it. I’ve just found Glen’s, and I expected nothing less that this❣️
You're one of a kind Glen I'll never forget the happiness your songs and words brought me so many years ago. God bless you .You truly were gifted. Rest in peace .
This does not feature on his greatest hits and in my opion is one of the best songs ever made Im having this at my funeral (not soon) I hope but whoooo what a song
As a poem this is hauntingly beautiful, as a song Glen lifts it to something more and anyone who has loved and lost cannot fail to be moved by it ............
saw him one time. the music teacher at Paris Ar. brought him in to do a school program. back before he was glen campbell star. 1968, a hundred years ago. he was young, back up musician no fame still a stiring preformance.
Mom and Dad, I was sometimes an ungrateful son. "I didn't mean to be to be unkind. You know that was the last thing on my mind." Miss you both so much now that you are together in Heaven.
Many versions of this song are out there; but Glen has an incredible way to give words a deeper meaning ... with intention; to say goodbye is not easy and hurts saying and listening to it also; both sides get hurt! so if there´s no emotion connected to the words in the song? we can say nah!! I will find a better version
Did see him twice in concert Lenora . He was fantastic but never sang both sides now . That Joni Mitchell song was my favourite of glens from childhood. Was the song that turned me on to glen.
My intro to this was on a Chad Mitchell Trio album, and Joe or Mike sang it solo. His was a bit less smooth but the same haunting quality. I do like Glen's sad version.
This is a song written by folk great Tom Paxton. I like his version best of all. I am a Glen Campbell fan but I could do without the heavenly choir on this song.
This is truly beautiful. but does no one here remember that it was Tom Paxton who wrote it and it was out in 1964? I have no idea who did it best. It is like so many things. The best one is the one you are doing now. If it is late enough at night that might be me. We have "Man Caves" so others do not have to suffer...OK I got a little off course or coarse if you like. Remember TOM PAXTON wrote it and a whole lotta other good stuff.
Glen, always managed to "better" any song...I've herd this one from many and they dont "deliver" that? in my opinion for the subject is not something to sing kinda bored or unattached; have to include passion on the voice; be it a woman or a man

The world lost a talented man & an amazing guitarist...Glen Campbell sings in Heaven now. RIP.
Glen captures the deepest emotions with this song. Truly wonderful.

Boy this mans voice has always been of angles. His talent is unparalelled .

After all this time this song is still haunting and truly beautiful. Glen's voice is outstanding on this.

This cover is my favorite, but I also really like the upbeat Dolly/Porter duet.
Beautiful song . You will be missed 😔
The emotion of this beautiful song is revealed in this singer, GlenCampbell.
Just great.

Mom and Dad, I was sometimes an ungrateful son. "I didn't mean to be to be unkind. You know that was the last thing on my mind." Miss you both so much now that you are together in Heaven.
Love, Love, Love this song by the GREAT Glen Campbell, He is one of the best in music him and ELVIS!!
Love this song so-o much by Glen Campbell, I wish I could have been to one of his concerts.
Oh My - Oh My - Oh My!
beautiful!

I feel so bad that he won't be performing any more, I never was lucky enough to go to one of his concerts!!!
Did see him twice in concert Lenora . He was fantastic but never sang both sides now . That Joni Mitchell song was my favourite of glens from childhood. Was the song that turned me on to glen.
Many artists sang this. Glen Campbell and the Dolly Parton duet with Porter Wagoner are my two favorite versions, with The Seekers a close third.
My intro to this was on a Chad Mitchell Trio album, and Joe or Mike sang it solo. His was a bit less smooth but the same haunting quality. I do like Glen's sad version.
Amazing Voice Bless this Song forever...
Beautiful . . .
Love it but so very sad...
thanks for posting this great song
after 42 years,I also had to say goodby ,,its not easy,I should know.......
Just suberb glen campbell legend
This is a Tom Paxton song. Glen sings it in a Psalm style, almost religious. Good version by a giant.

tears and more tears when I hear him
Yes, I know exactly what you mean. I keep playing this to see if the tears stop.. No success.. I still bawl when I play it. xx
Wow
Sitting in forgiveness
Emotie
Totally different from the upbeat Seekers' version.
In the style of Johnny Mathis, I think.
This is the best redition of this song and even better than Neil Diamond. So Sorry Neil.
this take somewhat different than other recordings by Glen of this song, I think...not sure tho
