- My Buddy Dayton and I made a bow hunting trip to Illinois. My good friend Steve Holste let us stay at his house . He and his two sons Adam and Ben helped us find places to hunt on their family property. Dayton and I each killed a doe , think we were up just a little early for the rut. Dayton saw one shooter and I saw a few young bucks. Now when we went visit Ben one night at his house there was a shooter in his front yard LOL. Hopefully Ben can get him on a later date. We had a blast hunting , cooking and visiting with our friends. I also enjoyed my visit to Wendte Farms , what a big operation. thanks Adam and it was a pleasure meeting your father -in -law Roy Wendte. So thanks again to Steve, Ben, Adam, Roy, Tim and Houston. I am going to tell you what mr. Todd I am over 70 years old born and raised farming and ranching and still doing it by myself I have seen how the big boys operate they rent the land out from under you they can afford to pay more for it they have the money for it the government gives them big substantial payments I only get the menamli payments I am a small operation every thing they do is a tax right off I have been told my hole life it takes money to make money Thank You.
