- I hunted with a gun for the first time this year and took a Doe, I normally just bow hunt. I cleaned her and prepared some delicious Backstrap for the pit. I then cooked and enjoyed the best organic meat you can get.

Greetings from Ontario Canada. I am intrigued by your healthy, fulfilling life style. There is a certain quality of life to enjoy growing, hunting, and fishing for your food. Your a lucky man!

Thank you for supporting my channel
@@kfred your welcome 👍
That looks good! I'm going to try that. It might beat out my favourite which is for hind quarters. The marinade softens up the meat nicely so you can use the tougher cuts that will slice with a fork.
3-4 round steaks
1 1/2 cups Gallo Rhine Wine
1 pkg Adolph's Original Meat Marinade
1 tsp garlic powder
Feel free to embellish with other spices, teriyaki, KC seasoning, Tobasco or?
Marinate steaks for 20 mins
I like to grill these over charcoal and sometimes add some lamb chops to enjoy with the venison.
You can buy a lamb ready for slaughter for $100 and grain it for 2wks. They slaughter just like deer and butcher out in 15 mins. No need to age them. I watched a tutorial on how to cut up a lamb in 15 mins and it worked, been doing it for 15 years. It worked so well I went out and bought a flock. Hair sheep are the best tasting and easiest to maintain. They are not wool producers so they don't produce lanolin which makes the meat taste funny. They prefer weeds over $200 a ton hay and there is no shearing. If you like venison you'll love hair sheep.
Love your videos you do stuff like i do love it

Perfect! If I didn't cook it on the grill I would cook in the smoker till med rare slice and dip it in cane syrup for a change. Italian dressing would make a tennis shoe taste good! Thanks again!

I like mine cut into about 4-5 chunks depending want them inch and a half two inches thick then I use string to make them like a fillet and cook it like I would a regular steak on the grill or in cast iron sear into oven to finish seasonings garlic, rosemary, salt, pepper, garlic, baste when it comes out same thing on a grill but taste better goea great with rice and mushroom grave or your favorite mash potatoes.

Thanks Cory! I appreciate you checking my channel out. I will probably do some bow hunts in Tensas and try to get something on camera.
Great , is nice to know how hunters prepare and cook a dear to test the real flavor of the wild meet, no too much dressing very simple this is the way , I like this video, please keep making more interesting information, but I have a question how long we have to wait after the deer is sacrificed,
Thanks brother! I appreciate your support!
I'm digging the vids. Soild work for sure. I enjoy Juniper berries with Venison. What did you do with the pelt? Right on.

Good video. New subscriber from New Orleans. Do you have any aging tips for a hunter doing his own aging at home?
Hey Ken. Great vid as usual. I know this is old, but I wanted to know how you like your Vacmaster. I'm thinking about getting one.
Thanks Brian! I love it! I use it for my fish, meats and vegetables. I would definitely buy another if I had too.👍
Great show buddy I enjoyed it and what stand was that on. Well done well done 👍
Thanks Richard! We call that stand Big Oak!
Is there a meat (venison, wild pigs) market big enough in Louisiana to distribute to the West coast?
Looks amazing my only thing imma say is u didnt let it rest b4 u cut
Thanks Anthony! Appreciate you watching!
What you do with the other part of the deer after showing about the back straps?
I made sausage with the rest of the deer. I don’t throw anything away. Thanks for watching this video, I really appreciate it!
Hello from the Texas hill country! I am curious about your electric grill. Normally I do my grilling over a real fire, but it’s not always easy to come home from work and do all that. I’m thinking of getting one like yours. Which model do you have? There is a Q1400 and a Q2400. Love your videos my friend, keep it up! Robin
Thank you so much Robin! I think I have the smaller one (Q1400). That’s the exact reason I got this one. I have a big BBQ pit witch takes a lot of coals. This thing you plug it in and it’s ready to go, no coals or lighter fluid. So quick and taste like regular BBQ. Perfect when cooking for just a few people.Think I got mine at Home Depot.
@@kfred great to know, thank you so much!
Good one vedio podna...i will use this technique
M P Thank you!
Actually this is my first time watching a dear get gutted and my question is...Is that all the meat from that huge animal or is it a lot more?
Not ! I still all the legs and neck meat. Don’t waste much.
Nice pieces of meat love deer meat.Ken do you wild hog hunt?
OMG! I trapped over 500 in the last few years. Haven’t done any UA-cam videos on that yet! But I may start. I am setting 5 traps tomorrow and will be bow hunting Thursday morning for deer. Thanks for watching this one too!
