If you haven't seen the show, you'll be happy to hear that the Issue family uses teal-colored mobile suits, the same color you chose for your custom Grimgerde! Quite a happy coincidence for your choice of the Issue family crest!
No way!?! That is amazing!! I mean, it makes sense because the colours totally work but I have never seen the show and just went with what "looked cool" to me. That is so awesome, thanks Stephen!!
Supercommando: Actually, he did not (you COULD think about it that way, but I think that's inaccurate), and even if he did, that wouldn't have any impact on the happy coincidence here. Please don't argue about it since we'd be discussing spoilers and Mr. Wright has not seen the show. Lincoln: Personally I highly recommend Iron-Blooded Orphans. I'm not really a Gundam fan, but I am greatly enjoying the series as I go through it. I'm on episode 40 out of 50 and its made me cry on several occasions. Gundam anime is produced with the purpose of selling model kits, but Iron-Blooded Orphans has really broken past that purpose and is a fantastic, inspiring story in its own right, and would still be popular even if there were no model kits for it to sell. We are all busy with our lives, and I do not know what else you have on your plate, so if you feel you have no time then, that is fine, you don't NEED to watch it. But if you do decide to pick up an anime series to watch at some point, Iron-Blooded Orphans should be one of your foremost considerations.
Stephen Crawley wow, ok!! That's one of the most well written recommendations I have received for a long time. I really like the IBO series of kits so maybe it would be helpful to watch the show!! Just so busy making all this content 😃😂
That's interesting when I sprayed Racing White it didn't look uniform at all. Even though I sprayed very light coats, it ended up pooling in the crevices and panel lines. I used Mr Surfacer for the primer. I wonder what went wrong for me, I never had problems with any of the other Tamiya sprays...
looks amazing as always. how do you decide what paints to buy as rattlecans or in bottles. i assume after buying an airbrush, you try to paint almost every color with your airbrush
Ji Sang Park thanks and great questions! My best answers are 1. I buy very basic colours in rattle cans, black white and maybe a primer colour like mahogany/hull red. 2. Then for using an airbrush or handbrushing, I buy specialist colours. One exception to this is for very large projects - I might buy specialist can colours just for that!! I hope that's a good enough answer for you Mr Park?
Ji Sang Park you're most welcome and that's my pleasure, I really like intelligent questions!! Please do keep in touch, are you in our Facebook group as well?
Sir, is it okay to immediately use a spray paint (desired color) directly on the kit? Especially when the parts are attached on the runners? I want to customize my second MG kit, which is 1/100 vidar, but i don't have any experience yet in doing paint custom. Please i need help. Thank you very much!
if you spray the parts when they are still on the runners, when you cut them off the nubs will stand out even more, as they will be the original color.
Randiculous Thanks for the comment even though i didn't expect some replies anymore since this post was already more than a month. Hahaha! Anyway, yeah, i did what you've just said and it was amazing. :D
Stanley Ma - morning mate and yes, I'm based in Australia now, awesome to hear from you and perfect timing. We are organising a deal with a local supplier, talking about offering deals for "buy and support local". Would that work for you too?
webbit1024 oh wow 😳 what was I thinking? 😂😂 I think it was the MS Grey afterwards that was in my mind because I've been telling folks that it's "black". Hahaha, thanks 🙏🏼
No worries. Nice color choice though, it has the feel of 50's heavy industrial machinery look feel. And superb weathering. I wish you are the designer of the power armors in Fallout 5. :D
webbit1024 oh wow again, thanks for the kind words and it's starting to come together, really glad you like it. I'll be giving this one away to my supporters end of the month too, will share details in tomorrow's LIVE Show and the PoP Facebook group if you're interested to get it 😃👍🏼

Painting white, it's notoriously difficult. Did you check out my "Painting White" Video, might help? ua-cam.com/video/2PrjkbpleT0/v-deo.html
Hmmm some really cool insight there, I'll have to break out the racing white and try again!
I can't wait till u snap up the Rex. I know for sure it's gonna be SICK

Thatrandomperson not a bad idea!
