They don't have to pace back and forth and this makes it look less frantic, I guess. They still haven't fed well, only some pellets, no fish they ate yet. So they are not themselves yet.
Hey Victor Jeremy from Jersey again!! Everything looks amazing. I’ll be in Florida from 22 December till 3 January. I’ll give you a call. Hopefully I can stop by. Thanks bro
Thank you for this reasonably comprehensive update on everything:) May I suggest a rescue Siamese fighting fish for the tank with the plants and the snails? If memory serves, I believe in October 2021 I suggested Fish Story rescue a Siamese fighter and you said it could be doable given a separate small tank: this might be just the tank:) Nice to see the 11 dorado A-OK so far, as well as their tank mates being A-OK. There are concerns both ways but neither have came true yet:) If he is close to 2.5 feet/75 centimeters, Widmer's time for a second upgrade is approaching:) I might just show this update to Liam for the Widmer update in his second River Monsters and Fish Story presentation:) What happened to Pro looks pretty horrible though, it would be devastating to see another of the Bass, Pro, and Shops trio lost:( Maybe try posting it on the Freshwater Diseases and Health Issues on Monster Fish Keepers? They might know something that can help.
I’m not sure if you remember me but I left a comment a few months ago about my eclipse catfish problems. It wasn’t eating and its belly was sunk and it appeared blind (especially for a catfish) anyways I wanted to let you know that I quarantined and treated it with melafix for a week and it has since recovered nicely.
Wow, I would have never guessed there were that many rocks in your 1800 gallon tank. Just goes to show how much bigger it is then it looks on video. Best wishes as always.
Thank you, Sean. I have dutifully answered your same question from 3 weeks ago. They are the usual cinder blocks. Most of them have been prewashed in the tanks, under rains, in the natural ponds outdoors, etc. before I got to use them. But I don't shy away from using the ones that had not been prewashed or presoaked. Our water volumes and high water change rates make anything that leaches over time from them not dangerous.
Do you know many long term white sturgeon keepers that theirs did good in these temps? I saw the video of you losing a couple, I know you said the move in and out of dif temperatures but I would really think they spend most theirs lives in very cold water don't they.
Yes they are used to waters not exceeding 65-70F. Fish can adapt with or without losses in the longevity, so this is an experiment for me. Sadly, IDK a single keeper of white sturgeon in captivity, neither short nor long term.
Very enjoyable video
Great collection
Best wishes
Lovely collection of tanks and fish Vik. Thanks for the update.
Love the tours, TY and have a great weekend
The Durado definitely look more calm in this tank now....with more room they seem to be swimming less frantic. Nice

Hope you and your love ones had a wonderful holiday
Thank you for the kind thought, and ditto.

Hi Jeremy, it'd be nice to see you again. Safe travels.
lol 9:41 that is the biggest electric yellow i've ever seen, didn't know they grew that large
It's the biggest in the current African cichlid batch.

Thank you, yeah, it didn't look like that many in the tank to me either. It's probably about 100 gal of rocks.
Read up on the use of Epsom Salt. It may help the bass.
Thank you, good reminder. I should try to give it an epsom salt bath in case this is not a swimming bladder issue but an intestinal clog.
How do you pre pare those cinder blocks in your aquariums and are they real ??? Does it mess with your aquarium water ???

as the temperatures drop, do colder water fish like sturgeon and golden mahseer become more active?
What happened to the Wallago Leeri in the big tank?
They are both there. Love to hang out with Mr Wels.
Did you lose all your bullheads? 😢
