WOW…I was 2 at this time but I know I was watching this game with my dad. Been to over 50 games and the band is just as much worth the price of admission as the game. So blessed to have grown up in Ohio to be a part of the tradition.

Was in the stadium that day, we could barely hear the band over the cheering for Woody. Great memories.

Was there also, with my Dad who is now gone. One of my fondest memories...

yep. back then typically the crowd would listen to the band sing the battle cry after the i-dotting, as opposed to singing along like we do today. but that day, as the band members sang, the crowd would not stop cheering. it was an incredible moment and was so happy he was able to soak all that adulation in.

I was there, too. It was such an emotional thing, we were all spent afterward! I will never forget it.

I was there that day, as I was for so many others. I was so emotionally drained afterward it was hard to get up for the second half. The good old days…

While Coach Hayes is always vilified for a mistake at the end of his career. Here is what should be remembered what the percentage of his players graduated WITH their degree.

Between Woody Hayes and Bobby Knight they MADE SURE their players graduated from Ohio State and Indiana, respectively.
