So basically, low level mobs turns the game into musou style. But higher level enemies causes it be turn based. That's pretty cool.
I dig it. As someone who prefers action but loves Persona, it’s a happy medium.

@@Sirgofman Maybe more like a KH game. Also I dig this so much so i don't have to deal with trash mobs taking my limited time i can just combo them and go next

No matter what the game is pixie is still our first companion.
It's like the guys at ATLUS said: ok guyz, you have free reign to make this as outlandishly stylish as you want but grab every mechanic from all of our series and make them work together, create new ones if you want to, and don't forget to call Meguro for the music!
I hope this game breaks some records :D it's nice to see them try new IPs

So it’s basically a persona game, except everyone is a wildcard and there’s Press turns, with DDS fusion spells, giant maps like smtv, plus the soundtrack of strange journey. Amazing

I am not fond of the dates. I hated that in Atelier games.

Well you need to see Kuro no kiseki / trails through daybreak because, it has hybrid action and command mode which you can change on the go

I guess minmaxxing stats are not possible in this game due to stats determined behind archetypes, but it's interesting more than 1 character can use the same Archetype, expect funny runs like "Thieves only" or "Brawler only"

This is still persona 6, but medieval.
the gameplay with archetypes is the enhanced version of Digital devil saga, there is a Pixie as companion, the press turn system or one more and there are some spells names as Garu, Mudo or Tarukaja and how can u say is not megaten. It can be easily considered a new spin off.
Essentially it’s the same gag as Soul hackers, devil survivor and even any of the persona entries since metaphor is basically using numerous mechanics that are shared amongst all those titles and simply focusing less on the ‘demons’ part and more on ‘fantasy’ itself with the more medieval fantasy as its centric more instead.
Also pretty nice for them to parody gag a bit like Nocturne’s difficulty by kicking your shins in if you don’t avoid combat especially early on and the gag that music is more of a MP3 player in your noggin to prod the Persona bit.
And even them innovating on aspects like Xenoblade with developing towns aka ‘social standing’ with kingdoms and its own take to innovate combat that will likely trailblaze some new ways for future games to take up hopefully.
Since the idea of starting off in action combat to build your advantage before you transition to the actual turn base could lead to some fun setups.
Maybe applying debuffs and ailments beforehand which usually ends up being redundant in many games.

It seems all the ability names were changed as well, minus buffs and debuffs (since I saw Tarukaja in the mix). It also looks like theyre using the affinites of P3 as well. I wonder if they'll change the name of Almighty skills...?
It also seems Light/Dark was preserved, too, since I saw Mudo as well.

so as far as I understood, you can fight the enemies in real time ALONE, but once you call your PARTY the fight transforms into a turn base combat, that's quite interesting. You can depend of your reaction skills but having less power by your own, or fight with a whole team giving you more power but now depending more of your tactics skills.

This game looks perfect, but the UI is so cluttered and messy it's insane. It's like someone saw how persona likes to implement their UI, and tried to replicate it in the span of 2 hours. If that's cleaned up, this game will be beautiful.
I hope there's an option for minimal HUD. Because damn.
The game looks promising but the UI is kind of messy, just hope I don't get headache playing this. The battle system is kind of similar to trails through daybreak which you can change from action to command mode whenever you want except some strong enemies like boss battle.
I'll most likely get this game, but the art style to me looks like there is Vaseline impairing my vision. It's really bad when you're exploring. It reminds me of the art direction Babylon's fall took, which didn't go well.
This is just my opinion, this game is really interesting.Please Atlus do also to SMT series such as SMT 6, both new raidou game, SMT 4 series or remaster.
A release of smt 4 on other platforms would be cool

There is no one who does UIs with more style than Atlus. It's embarrassing how far ahead of everyone they are in that department
You ever think why everyone else doesn't do it? It's because busy ui can be annoying after a while and not pleasing to the eye.
@@FuIIDiveVR in a turn based game I would hope the UI that I use to select maguru for the 1000th is somewhat interesting. I wish pokimon would take a hint in that regaurd. instead of a UI that looks like a buch of unstyled HTML buttons on a screen.
The UI and menus in Atlus games feel diagetic even tho they are not. Which is something that pretty much no one else can pull off to pull of to the same extent.

True, a traditionally purely turn based series experimenting with a hybrid action/TB system is exactly what Kiseki went through, so it's surprising nobody else has mentioned it. Is Kiseki that obscure? I thought it was more popular.

The franchise is certainly notable enough that you'll hear of it if you follow JRPG circles to at least some degree, but that's about it.

Play their other library my guy. They're not all like Persona but you're playing a game made by the persona dev teams.
Besides the character design, I don't feel any Persona in this game at all, if anything it feels more like an amalgamation of EO+DDS+DQ+Xenoblade.. and mayber Raidou due to the hybrid action and turn based RPG mechanic.

Gotta wait a few months before i buy this, if most of the reviews says that it feels incomplete, it'll probably get a "complete" version 2-3 years from now, Im done giving atlus money for releasing unfinished games then instead of working an update for it just re-release a new version to make it complete (WHICH MAKES U PAY FOR THE WHOLE DAMN THING AGAIN)
In Persona, the power is called "Personas,"
Personas are a very important element to this game which I'll give you a few more details on.
By confronting their issues, the protagonists acquire these "Personas", a special power.
Think of them as heroic figures everyone possesses.
Their powers manifest in various forms throughout the game.
Examples of some Personas that show up early in the game include;
The Starter Persona, who is an all-rounder in battle
The Mage, who strikes weaknesses with offensive magic
and the Melee Attacker, who can hit things really hard.
But the key point of the system here, is that the Personas can undergo a transformation, taking on the appearance of various heroic figures and then use their skills to fight.
I need at least 40" monitor to play this game. The UI is just overwhelm for me.
