One of the foo fighters hidden gems. Love this song. So clean, pure and has real soul. seems like such a simple song but really tough one to play and sing at the same time
I couldn't agree more. Great song, but it is really touch to sync up singing and guitar. It took me about 5 takes to get the performance right at the beginning.
Agreed! I'm in the process now and noticed Drue had to really concentrate but killed it non the less!
i thought i was the only one suffering with this. I got the finger part but to sync voice with the guitar is really challenging. Any tip?

My Hat off to you sir! I've been playing for 10 weeks now and learnt all my Chords, now onto bar chords and finger picking and learning bits of theory. Anyway enough drivel! I've been wanting to this since I first picked up my Faith and thought it was going to be years before I came anywhere close but thanks to you I have learnt the intro in an hour and will tackle the chords tomorrow.

I think it's about what u practice. like for me i rarely practice other people's songs u create bad habits. but hey playing the songs u like nothing wrong with that but some ppl just ignore that and don't know where they are heading. you should get into some Tommy Emmanuel stuff since u use your fingers??

Why do you finger pick it? I’ve always used the pick and it sounds good, but I’ll try the finger picking and see what that does
Great lesson!! but you say that you pinche with your index and thumb. But when you play at the start of the video your just picking with your fingers right? I prefer this also...
one thing I prefer to do differently is when x47600 chord is played, I don't use my pinky, but rather my middle- and ringfinger. This also makes it easier to switch to the E chord I think since your using the same fingers, but maybe thats just me :P

This can be easily played with a pic intsead of fingers. Great change to improve accuracy with the pic...
You could, there are some covers from people with a pick. However, I think it sounds better when you play it with your fingers, its a bit softer and more emotional. (change=chance right?)
