  • I've been wanting to test this out since forever. I've always heard people say they're better at speaking a different language when they're drunk.... So HERE WE GO!!! Also, wow I'm really bad at Italian. No matter how many years pass I never get better at speaking. Or grammar.

      U have no idea how much more difficult are german or slovenian, much worst.... Anyway is, io sono ( i am), and loro sono (they are).... She forgot another way: sono le mie chiavi (are my key). If u want to be more confuse the verb u are is: tu sei... Sei means even 6... or she is would be like lei è (è menas essere that menas sono)(that is the feminin way, but u can use for man in the way of respect, young people use that way to speak with unknown older mans and lady) 😂 English is more easy... but so basic. 😁✌️🇮🇹

      Ps. Slovenian have a specific way to speak when u speak about 1/2/or more persons.... Like romans in the past....

      We go

      Yeah but it also depends on context, and if you want to make a contrast/comparison you might say it like Duolingo. Still, I would NOT have counted that as a mistake honestly 😅😂

    • @quakerella1267

      Infatti non è italiano standard, ma più che altro un uso pleonastico dell'articolo. Dal punto di vista grammaticale è inutile, ma nel parlato serve per dare una sfumatura diversa e sottolineare un elemento della frase che si ritiene importante

    • @alessandrabosello1545
      @alessandrabosello1545 4 роки тому +7

      @@quakerella1267 mah, io fossi in Bailey non userei Duolingo per studiare una lingua. Molte frasi le considerava sbagliate, ma in realtà erano corrette. Io generalmente quando studio una lingua straniera, preferisco leggere e ascoltare cose in lingua, appunto, e studiare la grammatica magari seguendo corsi online o su un libro. Ho provato anch'io a usare quell'applicazione tempo fa per il tedesco, ma mi sono trovata malissimo 😅

    Bailey, an English native speaker: the fact that "sono" is both "i am" and "they are"... wtf dude? why can't you have two different words for these two very different things?
    the English language: tu = you. voi??? yeah that's "you" as well

    • @magaara8310
      @magaara8310 4 роки тому +71

      Also, almost every verb: I, you, we, you, they... Eat, sleep, think, dream, walk, fight, smoke etc...
      Not to mention can, must, could, should etc... Which are the same even in the 3rd person XD

    • @elianisac5271
      @elianisac5271 4 роки тому +10

      There is a difference. Usually, when you say, for example, they are all 18 years old, in Italian it's "Loro sono tutti diciottenni", everyone usually writes Loro (them) too. If you were already talking about Loro (them) with a friend and the conversation is continued you don't have to say loro again, just sono, and everyone understands, so if after a friends said that they are all 18 years old, and I want to answer with, they are all very tall, It can be like this: "E sono molto alti" E means and. It would be weird not to say it. So yeah maybe there is less difference in italian, but it's still there, and trust me there's other european languages with MUUUCH more totally fucked and stupid grammar, that stayed the same because history.. like germans and their three different ways to say a pronoun for the same word depending in what sentence it is used...

    Actually "recognizing patterns" is what matters the most I'd dare to say.
    One can always expand its vocabulary but the fact you're getting accustomed to the architecture of the period is an HUGE step forward in learning Italian (perhaps any language in general).

  • @sock3563
    @sock3563 4 роки тому +8

    As someone who speaks 5 languages, I can tell you that recognising patterns is a very good thing when learning a new language. It's not "cheating", it's just a bonus. Anything that helps you communicate correctly is a positive thing.
    When you speak a different language, try actually thinking in said lnguage and try to go with the flow, consider what sounds more "natural" to you, instead of stressing over grammar, and I think you'll improve, even if only just a tiny bit. It may also boost your confidence.
    If you pick up things from daily life and from your usual interactions, sentence structure patters become somewhat clearer, making them way easier. Or well, this is what I have experienced myself, but I hope this different approach can help you.

    Yeah I know the serie you talked about in the end of the video, I used to watch it when I was 7 years old... AAAAND NOW I MISS IT, DAMNIT!
    And huhhh... Sorry if my grammar maybe isn't correct or something if I spelled something wrong, ma sono italiana che ne so io, l'inglese che impariamo a scuola fa schifo! (Ti people who don't know Italian, I said "but I'm Italian, I don't know, the English that we learn in school sucks!")
    Btw I like your videos so much and you're not that bad after all

    Tesoro non preoccuparti se non riesci ad essere subito brava in Italiano... Molta gente italiana non lo sa parlare🙃 e l'italiano va per lo più ad orecchio es. "gli" oppure "lo", non c'è una tegola per usarli appropriatamente, si decide se usare l'uno o l'altro ad orecchio. Prenditi il tuo tempo, e non pensare di essere stupida. Detto questo adoro il video🙏🏼💖💖💖
