@@juanbohorquez8285 i came up with a strategy on that room for an easier fight while failing it over and over lol (lock-on the two dread knights and execute them fast, use crucible to chop down the tyrants and then you have access to the archviles!)
I was part of that amont of people who critizise the Hammer when come out for make the game more easy in a fun way. But when i was playing this MF Master Level, i was like: "i want my hammer please help"
@@zekrinealfa1113 I feel like it's just unfair. As far as I know, Arch-Viles never spawn the same enemies on repeat playthroughs, so you're essentially dealing with pure RNG for that room. Which is fine, the Randomizer mod exists after all, but I don't think they should do it in such a cramped room. What if 90% of the Archies' spawns are Mancubi? Add the two Tyrants that spawn on either side of the room and you'll spend half of the "fight" getting tossed around by their ground pounds with very little time to break free. I *like* the idea of having to fight an Arch-Vile's spawn before you can get to the actual demon, but a cramped room like the one in the ML is not the place to make it happen, or at least not two at once
@@livirus3826 It can be done, I did it on nightmare with no super weapons. Like I said, it requires perfection. If you don't want to go that far, that is why the bfg shot is there. It will kill all of the spawns and weaken the tyrants so they are quick to kill. The Archie spawns are pretty controlled also from the few times I have been there, it is not fully random, it feels like the have a few patterns to choose from.
Holy fuck this level kicked my teeth in. I died so many times on the archvile room that i crucibled the tyrants and bfg’d the room. Man, they really treated prowlers like fodder too.
Same, this feels like Plutonia. This is the Doomiest Doom level Doom Eternal has so far. Can't wait to see pther future master levels. They managed to make it feel like a completely different level than the base campaign version.
Once they come out with a Master Level version of all the levels in the game, they should just make them all collectively into "Master Mode" difficulty.

11:26 Useful things for the general public to know about this room, you can stand on the dome surrounding the medallion, utilize the hallway to drag enemies away from the circular area of the arena. Prioritize pressure units. Obviously.
It's good until there's that arena with 2 archviles behind the fucking shield which you can't kill for some time Oh yeah also about the hammer and crucible - you can use cheat engine to disable the hammer and get crucible again.
Same, At first i thought the revenant get buffed but then literally freeze one mf and take my time to take the shot at one of their shoulder cannon... It just doesnt register
The makyrs where a great addition. Made it even faster since you can save your fuel and keep slashing trough without interruption. Adds a little smth and isnt overused. The master level is realy a beauty, never boring.

A mancubus glitched behind the gate during the archville fight and i had to fight an endless amount of shield knights and imps. Luckily the blast damage from the blood punch killed it and i was able to finally move on to the level
Very impressive indeed you got remarkable skills swap in the weapon and taking down the enemy Bettina that video games processed the individual 9 to go into the condenser behavioural app especially if you're underneath the influence act
It is very possible to kill marauders with the chaingun. Not even with the Turret just normal m1 fire. But it's a bit like combos you kinda have to set it up with grenades sometimes but if you just hold m1 on his shield sometimes he'll just swing at you with the green eye attack. I have no idea why but it works.
Did this level for the first time on UV Classic Mode (PS4). Goddamn it was the most fun Master Level I’ve ever played so far. I only died twice and that was in the very first arena because I forgot to grab the Sticky Bombs, so I was dealing with Mancubi and Pain Elementals with just the base Shotgun until I realized my mistake. Ice Bomb saved my ass multiple times
Really good ML. TBH using the hammer is a bit of a handicap in this, cause this ML was designed with the crucible in mind and the hammer only stuns and does some damage and it fails to create space against heavier enemies. Also you can restore the crucible with a console command but nah hammer is the cooler tool
I enjoyed it, it's just what I was hoping for, brutal, merciless, with no room for failure, but speaking about failures, my only complaint would be the small arena where you get the second piece of the crucible, I play on Ultra Violence and that arena alone made me pull my hair almost ripping my scalp from anger, it's a little unbalanced with all the prowlers roaming around blocking your dodges, and while I'm okay with hidden buff totems, three cyber mancubi seems a little excessive for such a small arena where blood punch refills rely on prowlers and carcasses...
@@Insight16718 It is in my opinion. But they serve different purposes. Crucible will one shot nearly every enemy but ammo is limited and scarce. Hammer is great for crowd control and somehow trivializes the chainsaw, as frozen enemies will drop tons of ammo and burned enemies will drop tons of armor. Besides that, glory kills and weak points will refill the hammer. I prefer the hammer, but we need a master level in TAG 2 to match its power…
@@Insight16718 Yes, to me the hammer is superior to the cruciable in many ways. Personally I don't like one shotting super heavy demons, I like actually fighting them. The hammer makes it just so much more fun fighting them though. For example, a lot of people use the cruciable on Tyrants whenever they can. The Tyrant is my favorite enemy, so I don't do that. Instead, I'll freeze them, flame belch, frag grenade x2, and hammer all in that order one move right after the next, while at the same time doing the Super Shotgun-Balista combo. In the normal Doom Eternal campaign, theres no hammer, so for some reason its just not as satisfying killing super heavy demons as it is in the DLC, when you do have the hammer. I really don't know why but the hammer is just the cherry on top of the combo I listed earlier (which btw I do that for literally every single super heavy demon cuz its just that fun to me).
Ultra Violence for this level feels like UN. I cried at the double Archvile room and the Crucible Token room. I died no less than 23 times between those two spots. *I love it. I'll never beat it on UN but I love it*
I never really understood people who cry or get mad when they die. I always die with a chuckle because for me, dying is a good thing. It just means that I get to play more doom. It does help that the archvile arena on tnml is one of the best encounters in doom.
I love this level, i'm tryna do my first ever run on it which is just normal nightmare, and I play on PS4 Pro, so I don't expect it to be the easiest thing, but it shouldn't be too bad. The level is intense, and that's exactly what i love about it.
Gargoyles are the bane of my existence, also, I found it easier on classic mode…is that weird? Also, the Archville room was what just shredded away my extra lives. What with all the cybermancubi,Tyrants, Revenants and god damned Gargoyles, but it’s somewhat fun
No, it happens to me, they will open if you don’t die in the arena preceding them, if you die you have to quit the level and start it over. Atleast in my experience. I play on Xbox 1 S and it happens a lot. Nothing to worry about on easy difficulty, but I’m trying to do a nightmare classic run and the doors perma-closing gets really damn annoying

you can use the bfg to kill the Archviles since they still take tendrill damage. Two shots did the trick for me.
