I'm in the opposite camp. I really like his clean vocals but his screams like on early Killswitch are in my top 5 screams along with Cory Taylor, Randy Blyth, Brook Reeves, and Johan Hegg. I would love it if even one or two tracks per album had 50%+ dirty vocals

Fortunately, Light the Torch is still the same band as Devil You Know(minus John Sankey, drummer, who is the reason for the bands name change). I agree with almost everything you have said though. Howard Jones has always been an absolute beast on vocals. From his deep screams, to shredding high screams to totally unique cleans, Howard is a standout in Metal. It's a damn shame more people don't appreciate him and his vocal work. I haven't heard a screamer able to deliver such commanding vocal presence. Also a unique personality, he's talked about writing a book. I hope it comes out one day so I can buy it, we know too little about the tortured mind behind the incredible voice and lyrics.

But I agree, this song sounds amazing, and I hope for the best.
No matter where who or when Howard Jones sings I will support him. He is one of the greatest voices ever in the Hardcore metal arena. His voice is so powerful and intense yet soft and melodic. I DONT THINK HE WOULD DO ANYTHING I WOULD NOT LIKE. I did like him with Killswitch the best. The 3 greats in my opinion are Howard Jones. Corey Taylor and James Hetfield.

But yes, Howard has definitely lost weight and honestly, since They Bleed Red, he's been sounding like As Daylight Dies Howard again, which was his best era vocally (not to mention it's my favorite KSE album). It's insane, I never imagined he'd sound that awesome again but he does.

Tommystix87 : Damn shame Sankey fucked that name. He was such a Hype Man for the band and Howard's vocals when he was a part of the band, but then he failed with Legion Fest and turned into a cock sucker. Love Devil You Know as a band name. I wouldn't care if this song was under that moniker or Light the Torch. Howards explanation for the new name selection gives it a bit more power though. Just expand the info section of the video, gives it some credence.
