- Spaceballs 1987 Cast Then and Now 2022 How They Changed
Spaceballs is a 1987 American space opera parody film co-written, produced and directed by Mel Brooks. It is primarily a parody of the original Star Wars trilogy, but also parodies other sci-fi films and popular franchises including Star Trek, Alien, The Wizard of Oz, 2001, Planet of the Apes, and Transformers. The film stars Bill Pullman, John Candy and Rick Moranis, with the supporting cast comprising Daphne Zuniga, Dick Van Patten, George Wyner, Lorene Yarnell, and the voice of Joan Rivers. In addition to Brooks playing a dual role, the film also features Brooks regulars Dom DeLuise and Rudy De Luca in cameo appearances.

☞ Thanks for watching
David Letterman in an after picture and Daphne Z. As Joan Rivers were the errors I saw. This movie was hilarious 😂😂
😂 that’s not Letterman
It does favor David Letterman bit it's not
@@richardphillips6204 , OMG! It looks just like him! Thank you for pointing it out. 😊
Guess I should go and watch the video again to see what everyone is talking about.
And yes, Mell’s take on Star Wars (and Star Trek too) was Hysterical!
Yes, Daphne Z. as Dot Matrix, with Joan Rivers as the voice-over. Well, who they should have shown was the Robot 🤖 in the left hand side, and on the right side 2 pictures one of Joan Rivers, and one of Lorene Yarnell, who played the physical Robot. If you are of sufficient age, you would recognize Lorene was one half of the mime team of Shields and Yarnell, and they appeared on the Sonny and Cher show, as well as Carol Burnett show and guest appearances in dozens of other shows and they even get mentioned in the dialog of an episode of that 70's Show. Lorene passed away in 2010, in the place of her birth Norway 🇳🇴, after moving there, after divorcing her third husband of about a decade her partner Robert Shields. She then remarried, moved to Norway 🇳🇴, and retired.
As to the Letterman issue there is a faint resemblance to him, but believe me that is Jack Riley, who appeared many times on the first Newhart show, and many other programs, so the people down below are right it's not Letterman.
I love this movie. It's what I watch every year on Christmas Eve. Got Vespa over Joan Rivers. Hands down of the best comedies of all time.
This hits home.. it was my first DVD I ever bought with my own money. It was when DVDs first came out. I played it on my PS2 and I have the best memories from it. I would watch it on repeat. It ment so much! Thank you to the director, writers, cast, and effect artists. I love this movie so very much ❤️
spacebowls!..so many cool and unforgettable characters.even prince valium!
one of my favorite movies. unforgettable.
But the twins Marlene and Sharlene are missing in the list.
Chew ya gum.....
Young Joan rivers looks exactly like Daphne Z
Amazing 👏 movie 🎬 my cousin brought me to these movie back in 1987, laughing 😃 so hard lol 😆
That Movie is better than Star Wars entire franchise!!!
You forgot Dom deluise as pizza the hutt
I would also add Major Ahole
I never noticed that Skroob's stache was different on each side till today. You may want to re-edit this slightly. You have a pic of Vespa for Dot.
Always disturbing when photos don’t match like Joan Rivers…
😂😂😂
classic movie!!!
Great movie the funniest movie of all time
3:30 - Her face doesn't look much older.
"My hair. He shot my hair..."
you forgot Dom Delouise.
What about Pizza the Hut, eh? Lol
That was not Joan Rivers...
Dom DeLuise was pizza the hut.
The left photo for Joan Rivers is not her, she was the gold robot, i'm not certain which actress you chose for the past image.
Well, let's straighten out, and clarify these issues as well!!!
The photo to the left of Joan is a very poor picture of Daphne Zuniga, who of course played Princess Vespa in this film. The person who posted this video has made a host of errors and mistakes in making this inept presentation. The comments above and below reflect their lack of skills, and research abilities.
As to Joan Rivers, she was NOT in the Robot costume, she ONLY did the voice-over for the part. The person who was in the costume was one half of the mime team of Shields and Yarnell. They were regulars on the Sonny and Cher shows, as well as Carrol Burnett, and others, and even they are mentioned in the dialog of an episode of That 70's Show. Lorene Yarnell who was in the costume passed away in 2010 in the land of her birth Norway 🇳🇴.
I bet she gives great helmet
Lol
You forgot tuvock combing the desert! Tim Russ.
1:34 why they show two different people "dot" was a golden robot played by Joan river not played by a different actress
You are only partially correct, Joan Rivers only did the voice-over for Dot Matrix, the robot 🤖. The robot was one half of the mime team of Shields and Yarnell, who were on the Sonny and Cher shows, and would appear also on Carroll Burnett shows, and others. Lorene Yarnell was in the gold costume, not Joan Rivers, Joan only did the voice-over.
Lorene Yarnell passed away in 2010, in the land of her birth Norway 🇳🇴 😢. The picture they show to the left of Joan Rivers is a poor photo of Daphne Zuniga, who of course played Princess 👸 Vespa in this film. The person who put this together is very inept, and you can tell that by the comments below just about the omissions of stars that should have been noted.
Can you tell me, who is her actress name on thumbnail please? Thanks.
Her name is Daphne Zuniga, and she appeared in a number of "coming of age films" back in that era.
What...no twins?
Forgot pizza the hut
I liked Dark Helmet the best Boys and Germs...
Who played pizza the hut
Dom DeLuise
Is it just me? Or does Bill Pullman look alot like Alec Baldwin?
Inept, and unprofessional presentation as indicated by the comments below.
Daphne Zuniga is so pretty as Princess Vespa
The Shrewish Princess!
@@robertdragoff6909 No, she and her father, King Roland, were Druids
Reformed that is, so she's a Druish Princess 👸.
@@johnsimpson5406
Now that you mention it, yes….
Don’t know where I picked up the “Shrewish”
LOL!
NOOOOBOOOODYKNOWWWÔÔÔÔWWWSSSSSS Classic! HAHAHAAHA!
One of my favorite 80s movies.
Are you kidding me? You forgot Dom DeLuise as Pizza the Hut and Rudy DeLuca as Vinnie too.
Where’s Tim Russ from Star Trek: Voyager? He was one of the troopers combing the desert but with an afro pick.
hilarious film, me and brother watched this on a regular basis growing up it never got boring and always made us laugh 👍
You forgot Pizza The Hutt aka Dom DeLuise. 1933-2009
Ah Yes Sandy Helberg Simon Helberg’s (Howard Wolowitz) dad.
Mel Brooks a young spring chicken at 61 in the film
the right hand photo you chose for Jack Riley is David Letterman and he's very much still alive and enjoying his retirement from the late show.
No, that IS, JACK RILEY, NOT LETTERMAN!!! Jack Riley has been around a long time, and has been seen in a huge number of shows from Bob Newhart's shows to even an appearance on that 70's Show. Letterman is much taller than Jack, and since his retirement, Letterman that is, has had a huge full white beard, and has not been seen without it since his retirement whether at the Indy 500, or at the few interviews that he has done. Yes their is a faint resemblance, but believe me that is Jack Riley, NOT Letterman!!!
What no Max Headroom, no Speariment Gum Twins?
Dudes name was Col. Sandurz 🤣🤣🤣
How about showing the actual robot Joan played 👍🏽
That I agree with, however Joan only did the voice-over, so an additional picture should be shown with Joan of the person who was the actual Dot Matrix robot 🤖, and that person was Lorene Yarnell of the mime team of Shields and Yarnell, who appeared on the Sonny and Cher shows, as well as Carrol Burnett shows, and they even get mentioned in the dialog of an episode of That 70's Show. Lorene passed in 2010, in the land that she was born Norway 🇳🇴.
You guys aren't very good at this.
Космобольцы это самые правильные звёздные войны!
2:57.. and what about the hot nurse?
I bet she gives great helmet 😆
But yes, I forget her real name, but she was a semi-recurring character on Seinfeld as Sue Ellen Mishki and she was the captain of the Roger Young in Starship Troopers.
@@retluoc thanks for the data, i will search 😏
@@sagadegeminis3816 Brenda Strong (smacks self on head) 😄 I'm terrible with names.
