From Giggs to Gazza these 90s semi-finals are CLASSICS | BBC Sport - Спорт
"I think we are getting an outstanding game tonight".
- best rivalry
- cracking goals
- red card
- last minute penalty
- penalty saved
- heroic personal effort in last half of extra time
Every remember the goal by Giggs but we forget that if it wasn't for Schmeichel's save.....
The remembered one is not the goal. It is the chest hair.
So much better when the semi finals are at proper neutral stadiums rather than Wembley
Ryan Holland
I don’t get what you’re saying. No club owns Wembley. Therefore it’s a neutral ground.
@@aaaabbbb2483 yh exactly
Aaaa Bbbb give me villa park and old Trafford for the semis anyway. Wembley should be a reward not a requirement.
Aaaa Bbbb Favours London teams
90s fans erupting during the mayhem is amazing to watch
The Everton Spurs one was fantastic (Liverpool Fan here, remember cheering them on against UTD in the Final) But the Middlesborough v Chesterfield one was the greatest I can remember
McLarens reaction to the Giggs goal always gets me. He's thinking WTF
"wtf! Dude, you're not 'sposed to do that"
Imagine Paul Gascoigne presenting Match Of The Day and Gary Lineker being a hopeless alcoholic. lmao
It always when your time come. nothing can stop it like man utd vs arsenal and the treble season they had.Fantastic !!!
Schmeichel was Injured throughout that Semi. They beat Arsenal with ten men & an injured keeper.
My 22nd birthday and I got a ticket to see that giggs goal.....the best match I've ever been too, just had everything
Aint nothing like the actual live comms for that United Arsenal classic.
The pitch in the Chelsea vs ManU match was just awful. We forget how common that was.
always a blast re-watching highlights of games that I've never watched
Don't know why these get low views, deserve way more. Great content!
Anyone and everyone knows the Arsenal vs Manchester United 1999 semi-final game, was one of the best games of football that ever was played.
Sensational goal from Ryan Giggs
RIP Gary Ablett
Andy gray and Martin tyler commentary was epic in 1999 match
Not really sure how sheffield wednesday vs sheffield united is not considered one the 90's classic semi finals, probably because it doesn't contain one of the big 6...
Ian Wright was wonderkid for Crystal Palace
Where’s Jon Champions commentary? After all highlights where on MOTD back then?
No boro vs chesterfield you have got to be joking?
I genuinely thought history was being rewritten at 1:45 for a moment there!
Best fa cup goal of the 90’s dont @ me
(giggs)
Tony Yeboah (leeds).
Giggs was stinking hairy shit, that's why players ran away from him. Only person who got frisky was his bro and law dirty missus.
moondee lundee
You’re so salty. 🖕🧂
I was at the Chelsea game
Looks like Giggs is holding an uzi lol
this was the only thing Amokachi ever did at Everton!
National treasure in Nigeria 🇳🇬
Games of football in front of a crowd. Ah the good old days.
the palace win was amazing. its a shame this didn't include the other semi final, played straight after at Maine road, united 3 -Oldham 3...….best football viewing day of my life.....they should return to that format and stop the crap Wembley semis finals!!!
Great game the Oldham semi. Great season that one league cup final and the semi of the FA Cup. Some really good players.
So no Middlesbrough v Chesterfield ? LOL
What a strike from David Beckham! I Really classic. I enjoyed the game. Roy Keane was given a red card, sad! What a run by Ryan Giggs
Liverpool Pompey 1992?
Ian walker, the most unlucky goalkeeper in premier league history
Care to tell who was doing the commentary for the 1999 game between Man Utd and Arsenal? I spot his voice in those clips, but can't put a name on him.
Someone who only ever does retrospective commentary for old footage & not actual live matches. The original commentary was Martin Tyler & Andy Gray for Sky Sports.
Of Course Anelka wasnt actually offside when the ball left Bergkamps foot. But look at the drama we would have missed had the goal stood. Plus Utd wouldnt have done the treble
Wouldn't have needed a replay hard Keanes legitimate goal in the first game been allowed. Swings and round abouts.
If Fowler's goal at old Trafford stood ( as it should have done) Utd would have gone out in the 3rd Round. If the 1 minute of added time that was held up in CL final actually adhered to , they wouldn't have won the CL either. They had a lot of good fortune when winning the treble
Giggsy ❤️
Why that everton vs tottenham match considered classic?
Sky blue army 💙💙💙
When United could buy who they wanted and smash teams. .
Did Gazza get injured in that semi in 91?
yeah mate tried to 2 foot Gary Charles ...PSYCHO scored from the free kick
That was the final vs Forest he was injured. Cracking free kick from Pearce put Forest ahead.
Viera whoooa whhoooa whooa whhooa , Viera whoooa whhoooa whooa whhooa he gave Giggs the ball and arsenal won fuck all
Where the hell is Middlesbrough v Chesterfield, that was a great game.
Boro dominate before kinder is sent off
We go 2-0 up
Boro pull one back
We score a third that the linesman gives but the ref controversially disallowed
Boro equalise forcing extra time before scoring a third
We then equalise in the last minute of extra time to force a replay.
League 1 vs Premier league, 6 goals, 1 red card, 2 penalties, 1 unjustly ruled out goal and a last gasp equaliser. What more do you want?
giggs overhyped simple goal , messi does that every week
He doesn't. He really doesn't
