Sentenced is one of my all-time favorite bands. I became a fan in 1993 when I first heard North from Here and loved them until the end in 2005 and still to this day. My favorite songs are "Nepenthe", Everlasting and The Rain Comes Falling Down.
Sentenced- End of the Road Live... It is one of the most emotional ones, their last gig and last song. Guitarist Tenkula shreds so emotional solo at the end... Temkula just played with his heart
When you're depressed, mourning or just sad and hurt, it often helps to hear someone else say the things that you're feeling out loud. Maybe it's easier to deal with things, when you know you're not alone...
Matti Fagerholm, who goes by the name "Michael Monroe," ( Hanoi Rocks) is perhaps the world's most respected, yet least famous, rock star. "Michael Monroe is one of THE great rock and roll front-men," Slash (Guns And Roses) said "He's also a good man and a good friend." The following piece is out of Michel's genre. You Canadians have a similiar mentality as we Finns what comes to the music. Not like in the the US, where music has lost its shine with no other passion than money.
Canadian here, and I would agree. There is some Americanization here, I admit, but in general your country and our country have a lot of similarities, and music is one of them.
I'm not sure why they cut it out, but there's another verse after the first one that goes: "The dark, the silent, and the cold, The feeling I have come to the end of my road; Yes, these are the things I spend My remaining moments with." A friend of mine from Turku sent me the "The Cold White Light" album as a Christmas present a few years ago, and it's great. This is probably my favourite song from the album; dark and haunting, and the video also strikes a chord with me. (Also to add; the creepy ambience in the first track on the album and the way the album version of this song ends with an almost deafening white noise mixed with some kind of screaming is extremely unsettling and effective.)
@@aapalahti762 Ah, okay, kiitos. 😊 It sounded a lot like crows to me so I figured it was some kind of bird, but wasn't sure if it really was crows or what. (We have sandhill cranes in my area of Canada but I don't think I've seen or heard too many.)
Sentenced, the band that just quit as they promised. All of their songs have a very powerful message. But also the one band I have to avoid listening when I'm down. It's been too close for a few times so I kinda just learned my lesson.
I cannot recommend a song... but all the albums post death metal phase: Down (1996) Frozen (1999) Crimson (2000) The Cold White Light (2002) The Funeral Album (2005) Greatest suicide metal band ever.
Catharctic experince, last legs of life are something we don't want to think about, until Sentenced throws it on our face.

for me, one of the most beautiful songs in the world, and the clip is perfect.

Those are sounds of a flock of eurasian cranes leaving a swamp when scared.

Sentenced nepethe
This hits home hard because my mother has alzheimer. Real bitch of a illness.
I am really disappointed that they chopped the song up so much for the video 😢
I didn't like either...
I saw them live at their second to last concert in Helsinki, the last three songs had the band crying and everyone in the audience crying.
Out of curiosity, do you remember which songs they were? I assume this would've been one of them.
Second to last show was in Tuiskula Nivala day before their last gig in Teatria Oulu.
They did two gigs in Oulu. Those were the last ones.
