Abandoned Building Fire in West Hollywood Leaves Firefighter Injured

  • WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif., Oct. 8 (KNN) - A blazing fire consuming an abandoned building in West Hollywood overnight left one firefighter, who fell through the floor, injured.
    The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire in the 7700 block of West Hollywood Boulevard shortly after 2 a.m. Tuesday
    LAFD crews arrived at the location and found a two-story abandoned apartment building with heavy fire in multiple units. Crews worked quickly to establish hand lines and get water on the fire.
    At one point, crews transitioned to a defensive firefight. After making access to the second floor, crews knocked down the bulk of the flames, and the fire department declared the fire extinguished in less than 30 minutes with 35 firefighters at the scene...access the rest of the story on keynews.tv.
