I haven’t done a proper review on this one yet as like you I was puzzled why others are saying it is the best shoe of the year, maybe ever and yet it is probably one am most disappointed with of late. So been looking for the magic but after 3 runs now am still looking. The weight saving from before is amazing. At 300g in UK 13/US 14 that is amazingly light for a “daily trainer” for me and indeed is a lot lighter than even an Alphafly 2 for me. And yet it is a light shoe that feels heavy to me. It could well be as I have narrow feet and fits rather wide and indeed the base is wider than previous versions. Also it is still a bit long. The insoles are longer than I normally get in my size by about 0.5cm which is effectively 0.5 size. As such I feel I have a lot of shoe under me and the foam although far from firm does not flex much and I sort of find myself rocking back as it feels bit bottom heavy. It definitely improved a little when I tightened the laces a lot and I may even try a size down but would have to go down a full size as don’t do half sizes for my big feet. That said I was never a great fan of the previous versions and although I did a fair amount in the first version struggled to find any love for the 2. I think half the problem these days is we expect a lot with the all super shoes around and in a way this seems like false economy to me. On the other hand many seem to love it so good job there are now loads of shoes to choose from to suit different tastes.
Thanks for the honest review. Strange running shoe reviews coming out lately. For some to proclaim this the shoe of the year -a month before it came out - seemed odd to me. I’m not saying that it’s not a good shoe, but that seems strange with all the great shoes that came out this year. Maybe the shoe companies and some reviewers are getting too close.
I agree! Once Jamison Michael started getting cozy with Conner from Running Warehouse, I stopped following him. Kofuzi seems a bit too tight with Asics, but I still value his reviews of non Asics shoes. As for Emily, I think she's awesome and honest. As well as Thomas/Meagan at Believe In The Run, and Seth DeMoor.
Well guys, many shoe reviewers have this shoe even though it is not in general release yet. Kofuzi acknowledges to take into account his work with ASICS. Believe in the Run also has done much work with ASICS. So far I have heard 2 lukewarm reviews. I have loved the series and I'm neither a shoe reviewer or affiliated with ASICS. We can all make our own decisions.
@@stevestarr9769 I used to like Jamison Michael’s channel, but these days his channel is nothing running oriented but sponsorship related contents, as if he was recruited by Hoka or running warehouse to promote their merchandise. It’s been about 10 months since he posted anything.
So interesting! Really appreciate your honesty & a female perspective, which isn’t easy to find in the shoetube world. I was not a fan of the 2. I felt like I was wearing a clown shoe & it was a bit floppy if that makes sense. I’ve been waiting for the NB 3 because everyone talks about how life changing it is. Finding it is almost as hard as getting a Toyota Rav 4 Prime, but after hearing your review, I’ll save $140 & stick to my Super Comp Trainer & Ride 15.
Thank you so much! As of now, not life changing imo, but I’m curious to put more miles in it once marathon training is over. I’ll keep you posted- but the SC strainer and ride 15 is a really hard combo to beat 😍😍😍 love them both
Bought V2 based on lots of positive reviews, and I found it a clunky, disappointing shoe. Again lots of positive reviews of V3, but I'm not taking the bait this time, and your review reinforces that. I just think different shoes work differently for different people. I prefer a rocker or speed roll type of technology in my shoes, which this shoe is lacking. Nice to see Ruby again!
Hi Jon I totally agree. I didn't get the 1, but got the 2 here in the UK for around 90$ so a good deal. But it's like a rather sloppy spongy shoe, baggy upper. Comfortable no doubt and I can see how it can be the ok for relative beginner runners who only use one shoe, but it certainly does not deserve the hype. Emily thanks so much for the honest reviews we're with you👍🏾👍🏾
Version 1 was the best! Ang guess what? it's the only version almost all reviewers hated or where iffy about and all the sudden had foot issues with. which unfortunately prevented many from not getting it.
The Novablast does have a rocker not so unlike the rocker in the Endorphin Speed. Both have a early stage rocker that starts slightly behind the the ball of your foot. Neither one to dramatic. Speed Roll technology is just a fancy term that Saucony uses instead of rocker to market their shoe because it sounds more technology advanced than the word rocker.
Interesting review! I am a new runner and obese. I am living in Cyprus and I am from Greece (extremely hot). My current rotation is More V3, Invincible 2, and Novablast 3 (I am thinking to add the speed 3 for races). I am planning to “run-walk” a 10k and run a 5k during November and due to my weight I will use Novablast for the 5k. I seems they move my legs faster (and make me to avoid heel landing), although the invincibles are a joy for training. I bought them because I did not find the invincible 2 at the time. Now on your comment about the reviews. Every runner should experience something different because we are different not only as humans but also on our goals and training. I am following you and I take your reviews into my consideration (along with two other channels) because I noticed that your comments helps me to narrow my search when I am looking for a new pair.
I'm still awaiting the backorder on the Novoblast 3. My findings on the 1st 2 versions are the same as yours. It seems with each version, the stability increases but the energy return decreases. No matter, I'm a jogger not a fast cat. You and Kofuzi would be a great Siskel and Ebert team on this shoe! As for me, I just parked to run a 5K in the Santa Monica Classic on this somber date of 9/11. Thanks for the review Emily.
Thank you so much for your honest reviews!! Actually, I had high expectations from the Novablast 3, but when I found the pair that I had ordered was back ordered, I canceled my order and purchased New Balance Freshfoam More v4, which I am enjoying. Again, cthanks so much!
Got all 3 versions and honestly they are getting better every time. 1st version had upper (material, laces, tongue) and stability problems. 2nd version was much improved, but I still had hot spot in the tongue area. Tongue in the 3rd version is perfect, but I felt some uncomfort in the heel area (some rubbing on the Achilles) just on the right foot and only on one run, otherwise happy to report they are great. Use them for everything, especially for recovery runs. And the colorway is literally FIRE.
Your review helped me clear my doubts. Won't get version 3. People who couldn't find Version 1 fun and had no issues with it as well as loved version 2 are the complete opposite to my history with with shoe. Loved V1, never had an issue, just loads of smiles from beginning to end of use. V2 felt like going from daily-driving a current sports car to daily driving a SUV from 2000s era. It still drives but you're not having any fun in it nor is it pushing you to want to drive spiritedly. Felt dead to me and those who loved the V1, But everyone else and their new comers to this shoe loved V2 (seems they were out to please everyone and lost the magic). Looks like V3 is more of the same.
@@mav3ric100 I know what you mean. You can go somewhat fast with SUV, but you really want exciting car like Lamborghini for that. It is expensive and you wont be driving it every day, but when you do, you will be doing it with a smile on your face (my Lambo model is called Saucony Endorphin Pro 3).
@@HDSigningOut love the endo speed 3! First time for me getting a Saucony! Swore to always stay with novablast as I loved v1 but v2 turned me away from it. And it looks like (from what most reviews say it's more stable probably catering to a wider audience and probably even less fun than V1 because I didn't find V1 needed any stability)
I too was drawn in by all the "shoe of the year" stuff. Comparing it to the Endorphin Speed (which I know is a different type of shoe): Novablast: + Excellent zone 2/base training shoe. + Very plush ride and stable. Going around sharp turns doesn't give me the feeling I'm about to roll my foot. - Terrible shoe (for me) with any pace faster than a 9:00 min/mile. It feels "dead" once I pick up the pace and sort of feels like my foot is sinking in sand. I call this my "plodding" shoe. - Fatiguing to run in (for me) at mileage beyond 8 miles. +/- Because I don't enjoy the shoe at faster paces, it's my go-to shoe when I want to force myself into a 100% base training run. These completely remove any temptation to sneak in fartleks or threshold work. Endorphin Speed: + Good zone 2/base training shoe. + Excellent shoe at tempo/threshold paces. Really fun to run faster paces in. - These shoes aren't all that stable for me but I over pronate. I don't notice when I'm "just running" but I have to slow down a lot to turn a corner to avoid the foot rolling sensation. My wife who's a neutral runner doesn't have this issue. If I had to buy just one shoe, it'd be the Endorphin Speeds.
I also LOVED the Novablast 1. I got a half price pair about a year ago and just picked up a second clearance pair for $44 USD! Thanks for keeping your reviews honest. My favorite thing about the shoe is the pep. I’m saddened to hear the subsequent versions are missing that special something, but I’m also happy I picked up an additional pair of the OG model.
Great review and I tend to agree! Seeing so much hype about this being the best shoe of the year but I am not so sure either! Definitely more stable than V1 or V2 but for not much more money something like the Saucony Speed 3 can do everything the Novablast 3 can do and just does it better I think! Keep these videos coming you’re one of the best! 👊🏻
Appreciate your honest opinion! I currently use the Novablast 2 as my daily trainer and I like them but I really don't understand the hype that they've been getting. Probably won't buy them again and since we have similar taste in shoes I can probably skip the 3.
Update: Got my pair today. This shoe is a noisy one! Everyone will know you're coming. I will have join the rank and file though. This is my favorite daily trainer. The mojo is back. I really felt the trampoline propulsion again.
Between Novablast 3 and Bondi 8, which one is good for: 1) Routine exercise (run/jog). 2) Comfort. 3) Stability. 4) Less knee & ankle pain. 5) Enjoy routine exercise. Any idea?
I ordered the Noosa 14 and got them for 100.00 off Amazon. I like the rocker technology. I appreciate the honest review, some YT are affiliated and have literal promos with Asics so it's hard to take everything they say as purely "honest".
Really appreciated your honest review and opinion, Emily. I have the novablast 1 (and I'm not a runner lol) I think it is great that there are such a variety of shoes out there to cater for different feet! And lovely to see Ruby as always!
I was thinking of picking this up.., but now I am having second thoughts and think I may just go fuel cell rebel v3. Also, I am with you on the rain.., I went out the other day, and got caught in the rain ☔️.. it was a sprinkle at first .., then it turned into something much worse.., I should have went treadmill.., next time I know ..
Hmmm, I was hoping I might like this version. I’ll just have to wait until they’re available in a store somewhere for me to try on and do a little running in. Never had v1 or 2; I felt like they were rear and bottom heavy and didn’t even try running in them. But I need a well cushioned LR shoe and don’t like super high stack or crazy mushy shoes, so thought I’d give these another shot. Appreciate your honesty and independence, Emily!
Just picked up a pair of Novablast 3s yesterday, I had the same "tongue bulge" on lacing (didn't notice it on the run though), and extra length in the toe box - I actually spent 10 minutes in the store trying to decide on sizing down - deciced against it because my feet swell on longer runs, and when I sized down before it caused weird injuries. It's my first pair of Novablasts, and took them on a 6k interval run, and while I can't say I noticed anything special about the shoe, I did hit a PB mile, and I wasn't really trying for that... curious to see how the future goes. I've only been running in 1080s for the past year, so I don't have a lot of comparison.
This is helpful because even though I don’t need another daily trainer (currently on the Ride 15 and liking it), this shoe seems so hyped up. Really loved the run footage with the shoe specs btw!
I’m really wondering how they work for heavier runners…… Definitely a highly anticipated pair that is living up to the hype from what I’m seeing so far.
Love that you have a dissenting opinion! I just started running in the Novablast 2 (never tried 1 and 3 is still awaiting release...) and took it out for a 20 miler for the first run and enjoyed it at marathon effort. My 2nd run in it will be a marathon in less than a month. Was hearing all the hype about the Nova3s and was going to definitely pick up a pair - but maybe I should give it a test run at the running store first?
wow! Looks like Novablast v3 is currently leading the “most polarizing shoe of 2022” at the moment based on numerous reviews/comments. Kinda on the same boat before as the Nike Invincibles 1 when it first came out.🤔🤔🤔
Definitely not a bad shoe but definitely over hyped I'm hoping to at least get 300 miles out of it for easy and long runs all leave the speed to my endorphin speeds 💪
I really like Novablast 3! It feels like SC trainer but more stable. With regards to rolling I do feel it a lot, also confirmed by the hips after the run.
I know Road Runner Sports pushes this as a long run shoe. I just got a pair. So far I've only gotten up to 3.1 miles. But I do feel these will be great for long runs. I have yet to try them on a speed run though. I feel that they may be ok for me on speed runs because of how light they are.
I totally agree with this!! I purchased a pair based off all the reviews suggesting it was the "daily shoe of the year", but after two runs they're going back to Asics. I just don't get it - it's got some bounce but it's not that stable at slower paces (not ideal for a daily!), there's some strange issues with the tongue material, it's very very tight in the toe box in terms of width in my usual size. Nothing special - the Endorphin Speed 3s are far superior in everyway for the same price.
Great review! Totally agree with you, massively overhyped shoe! I’ve just recently bought the ASICS Noosa Tri 14’s - absolutely awesome shoe!!!!! Would love to hear your thoughts on it….
Any thoughts on Brooks Glycerin 20 GTS? Thanks! I've tried Asics Nimbus 24 today. Pretty low to the ground and interesting. But it rubs around the metatarsal area. So I am considering Glycerin 20 GTS. I really don't know why people that make shoes destroy models with important detail. Same goes with UA MAchina 3. I like cushions. But the way the upper roll over the foot really "hurts". First I noticed that side support (inward side of heel) was lacking, then my ankle rubs around the "neck" of the shoe..like the shoe is in superposition and I am failing to enter with my foot. Or lacing and material don't cooperate well. And the design objection is that the model is straight and narrow. Like they don't know the curves of the foot. Which is highly improbable. Adios 6 lacks ankle side support. While Boston 10 does it very well. True, it is hard. But comfy. I like it. Brooks Glycerin 20 GTS on the other hand to me looks like someone wraps around their foot with both hands. And for some reason took away arch support. I am guessing it is actually not the case. But it is my first time to try Brooks. I don't like the prices at all. Impudence. Nimbus 24 $ 134, Brooks Glycerin 20 GTS $ 146, UA HOVR Machina 3 $ 108, Boston 10 around $ 109 as well... And all prices either have a 25% discount or more in this period or some giveaway plan... True prices are from $ 195 and going up and up... Like my earning ability is above average.
Re: the Glycerin 20, were you able to try both upper options? They feel quite different; one is the knit upper, the other a more traditional one. I’m not sure both uppers are offered on the GTS, however. I’m curious to try both versions because I really like that midsole foam as used in the Hyperion Tempo, so curious how it feels on the G20.
@@levandmarthapolyakin-aaron2183 See site. I think there are 4 versions. On run repeat site version 20 is better positioned than GTS. If one has only plastic side arch support, holder..am I missing ..I am confused. On foot is good. But real test is running in them. Can't comment on that. I deny opportunity to try them anyways. Because I have ..let's few here and there and if I am not buying it is good to leave them intact. Diffrent uppers are same as Asics MK versus regular versions. Regular are winter based. Breathe, but knitted in few layers. Summer version more perforated.
Thanks for the honest review! I've been waiting for the Novablast 3 to be available and I balked when it popped up on the Asics website. I was never fully sold on Ver. 2 tho it's in my current marathon training rotation as a daily trainer. It's cushioned but not that responsive. And kinda heavy when compared to something like the Skechers MaxRoad 5 or Saucony Endorphin Speed. I actually like the feeling of the Nike Invincible more. Just feeling compelled to log some miles in the Novablast 2 until I retire it at the end of my training block. So sounds like not worth the upgrade to the 3?
Thanks for watching! So far I’m not really sold on version 3 either. I know other people have been loving it but I just haven’t reached that point yet. Hoping to put more miles in it after marathon training is over and see what comes of that.
Thanks for the vid. I’ve thought the rollout of the 3 has been very bizarre with creators give their thoughts after 100 and 200 miles and crowning it shoe of the year months ahead of customers getting their pairs. I pre-ordered a pair but anxious to see if they hold up.
Thanks for watching and hope you enjoy them! Not ready to crown them shoe of the year at all lol but hoping to get some more miles in them once marathon training is over.
You should buy the mens version. The female versions always have 1 or 2 mm less midsole.. less bounce. I dont know why brands do this.. sure women weigh a bit less in general but its not a smart move imo.
Great analysis 👍... And of course your video is only officially completed when Miss Ruby (aka "spoiled brat" 🤣) makes her cameo appearance even if she's "photo bombing" you're set🤣🤣.. and yes, upstairs is far better backdrop (my 2 cents)
People kinda went over the moon with this shoe indeed and to be honest, fully understandable. Shoe is great looking and nice rocker roll for smooth ride but FFblast + is not Pebax or Nylon based midsole so is not as responsive as asic FFturbo ss example. So if you are used to pebax foam running shoes or runs a lot with those shoes, then novablast 3 might feel quite underwhelmed since the midsole is not as light or responsive.
I don't get the hype about the Blast foam. I have the Nimbus 24 and the Novablast 2. I find the midsole disappointing.. Not even close to FuelCell or ZoomX.
@@i.p2088 Novablast 2 wasn't where the hype came from. It was mistakenly attributed to it because ALL the reviewers like that version most. Novablast 1 basically was a hype created by regular people en masse who actually tried it and bugged reviewers to try it as well but reviewers weren't so into it only talking about instability and other issues that people who liked it said didn't happen to them or disappeared after 20 miles.
I'm interested to buy them because : 1. I like the design 2. I wanna use them for Walking. I am not a Runner . But walking alot at work, i walk daily between 10 and 15 km ,6 days per week. Could those be good for that ?
Great and honest review !! Thinking of replacing my over used mach 4 by either the mach 5 version or to the novablast 3 what would be the main differences between these ?
If you liked the Mach 4, then you’ll probably like the Mach 5 even more. It’s been upgraded in terms of foam and build quality. I haven’t run a ton in the novablast yet, but at this point I feel like the foam in the Mach 5 is more bouncy. Mach is also more stable which I always appreciate.
@@RunLikeHeller one question.. Novablast 2 is quite wide and actually OK for my wide feet. How is the Mach 5? We can't get the Mach 5 in wide in Europe.
As u over pronate little bit does these feel stable ? Or u getting more probation as these r bouncy shoes with no plate .. i felt first 2 versions very unstable as i mildly overpronate
Is this stable enough for over pronation like yours or will you be doing long runs in something else? If you can't say it's a great shoe, which shoe is a great shoe in your opinion in the same category of daily trainer with good cushion?
Same boat. I’m an overpronator and tried the 2nd version and it really hurt my knees. I want the 3 but only if it’s better for overpronators than the 2
@@davidernst5708 Looks like an interesting option. Hear grip could be a bit better. I'm gonna try the Glideride 3 I think. Until you run a few km in a shoe you never know, wish I could try several.
The novablast isn’t bad- I just haven’t felt the immediate hype that a lot of others are experiencing. I’m interested to get more miles in it before solidifying my opinion. Shoes that I think are great in this category: Hoka Mach 5 and Saucony Ride 15.
Novablast 1 is the best daily trainer I ever had, I never got the 2nd version, but I got the 3rd one coming to me soon. I'm hoping the Novablast 3 is better than ever. So far most people are saying it's the shoe of the year.
I like the Clifton line a little better personally. More consistent feel. But many people are calling this their shoe of the year so if you’re intrigued, I say go for it lol
Been waiting for this one! Thanks for the honest review again, Em!😉 So I guess for u, the Hoka Mach 5 wins over the Asics Novablast 3 (since it's a question many been asking around too!), rite? 1 question abt the Novablast 3 though ▶does it make a loud slapping sound while running on the road like the Nike Peg 39? If it doesn't I might still get a pair when the price starts coming down next year🤭 That loud slapping sound is what makes me retired my 1 month old Peg 38, really couldn't stand it!
@@wesw6787 I had run in a few Nike running shoes before. I think all running shoes more or less will make some slapping sound whenever running on road, even more so when I was getting tired & footsteps gotten heavier. But none made such RIDICULOUSLY LOUD slapping sound like the Nike Peg 38/39...😑
Thanks for watching! Yes, as of now, I would pick the Mach 5 over the Novablast 3. Yes, the Novablast is a little slappy but not as bad as some other shoes lol
Ive had all three iterations of the Nova Blast. I dont think much thought went into the first version i don't have any problems with stability but this shoe was a disaster. The fact that they made so many changes to this shoe i think speaks volumes. It's now a very good well balanced shoe (not mushy) you can run in without the fear of getting injured.
Nike Zoom X Invincible Run Flyknit 2. Why? So soft but the rebound is so great making the sink in feeling so unnoticeable that your legs are able to get into the next running cycle not feeling overworked.
@@jefreywith1f924 I know many love the Invincible. I feel like a duck trying to take off in them.. Like tarpaulin but up and not forward.. I love the ZoomX in the Vaporfly. Completely different. The best midsole available in my opinion.
@@i.p2088 I got a chuckle 🤣 out of that duck tarpaulin analogy. This is my first expirence with Zoom X and in this shoe seems to work me as a recovery shoe not a everyday trainer.
Thanks for watching Ray!
Thank you so much for your honest reviews!! Actually, I had high expectations from the Novablast 3, but when I found the pair that I had ordered was back ordered, I canceled my order and purchased New Balance Freshfoam More v4, which I am enjoying.
Again,cthanks so much!
Thanks for watching!
Great review! It's not a shoe for me... I'm curious about the Rebel 3 and the RC elite 3! Are you gonna test them?
Thanks for watching! Don’t have the RC elite 3 but probably will review the rebel 3!
I too was drawn in by all the "shoe of the year" stuff.
Comparing it to the Endorphin Speed (which I know is a different type of shoe):
Novablast:
+ Excellent zone 2/base training shoe.
Endorphin Speed:
+ Good zone 2/base training shoe.
What a steal! Thanks for watching!
Thank you so much for watching!
Appreciate your honest opinion! I currently use the Novablast 2 as my daily trainer and I like them but I really don't understand the hype that they've been getting. Probably won't buy them again and since we have similar taste in shoes I can probably skip the 3.
You hit the nail on the head 👍🏻
I just received my nova blast 3’s from eBay today and they might be the most comfortable best shoe I’ve ever worn in my life
Thanks for watching! I’m curious to put more miles in them once marathon training is over but as of now, I think you’re making the right call.
Update: Got my pair today. This shoe is a noisy one! Everyone will know you're coming. I will have join the rank and file though. This is my favorite daily trainer. The mojo is back. I really felt the trampoline propulsion again.
Yes! My tongue buckled and Poofed too! I thought it was just me!
it lost it's magic because you got use to your number 1, the SC Trainers are going to steal the magic feel from most of this year's shoes 🥰
Also possible
Between Novablast 3 and Bondi 8, which one is good for:
1) Routine exercise (run/jog).
2) Comfort.
3) Stability.
4) Less knee & ankle pain.
5) Enjoy routine exercise.
Any idea?
Novablast will be there better shoe for versatility. I’d go with them
I just want to know if it has the good amount of cushion to protect my knees, i ONLY do slows runs.
I ordered the Noosa 14 and got them for 100.00 off Amazon. I like the rocker technology. I appreciate the honest review, some YT are affiliated and have literal promos with Asics so it's hard to take everything they say as purely "honest".
Exactly how I felt yesterday when I tried it on. Every word of yours - spot on! Thanks for affirming what I felt!!!!
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the reviews! What shoes would you recommend for strictly treadmill running?
You can really wear whatever running shoe you’d like on the treadmill! Depends what your tastes are when it comes to a running shoe
@@RunLikeHeller Thanks!!
Really appreciated your honest review and opinion, Emily. I have the novablast 1 (and I'm not a runner lol) I think it is great that there are such a variety of shoes out there to cater for different feet! And lovely to see Ruby as always!
Thanks for watching!
You might like this one based on what you’re saying. It’s worth a try on!
Shoes of the year ! A nice marketing concept 😅
Same. I didn’t feel “ shoe of the year” during my first 10 miles.
Exactly lol. Hoping to get some more miles in them once marathon training is over so we’ll see. TBD.
This is helpful because even though I don’t need another daily trainer (currently on the Ride 15 and liking it), this shoe seems so hyped up. Really loved the run footage with the shoe specs btw!
Thank you!
Thank you emily for the honest review appreciate it
Thanks for watching!
I’m really wondering how they work for heavier runners……
Definitely a highly anticipated pair that is living up to the hype from what I’m seeing so far.
I’d go for the test run just to see if it’s worth it for you since you already have the novablast 2.
Thanks for the review! Still waiting for my pair to arrive. I hope the ffblast+ will be the same as glideride 3s. 😣
Hope you enjoy!
I like your independent honest reviews.🙌🏼
Thank you!
I like them. They kind of remind me of the NB 1080s.
I really like Novablast 3! It feels like SC trainer but more stable. With regards to rolling I do feel it a lot, also confirmed by the hips after the run.
I want sc trainer but out of stock ,
Is novablast3 good choice?
@@성이름-w1g novablast is better for regular use
Thanks for honesty.
Thanks for your review!
The reviewer we’ve all been waiting for to comment on these!! 🙌
The shoe is collapsing on toe off for you on the lateral side to the point you might want to consider if it’s worth running in it.
I know Road Runner Sports pushes this as a long run shoe. I just got a pair. So far I've only gotten up to 3.1 miles. But I do feel these will be great for long runs. I have yet to try them on a speed run though. I feel that they may be ok for me on speed runs because of how light they are.
I’m glad you’re enjoying them so far!
Have you tried the Glideride 3?
I have not
@@RunLikeHeller You should give it a go if you need that little bit of stability 👌🏻
i just want a comfy daily shoes will it be okay
Yes!
We want the OG Rainbow Balloon back as well😂😂
Is it stable for the ankle?
Like does it feel stable for the ankle in terms of pronation and supination?
Thank you for your answer 🙏
hi heller, awesome review. i just picdkup noosa14 over the nb3 just becoz the snappier responsive midsole the noosa has.
Got it! Hope you enjoy!
Love me some speeds!
yes, its unstable for me when I tried it in store
Thanks for the review.
As for filming location, I will watch you anywhere. But.... someone needs to get you a new rainbow balloon!
Thanks for watching! I knowwwww :(
interesting thoughts. would love to see your thoughts after more than 2 runs on the road. Appreciate the review!
Thanks for watching! Hoping to get this shoe to full review once marathon training is over so stay tuned!
Was going to get this but now I'm considering the Bondi 7 on sale as my easy/recovery show
Loved the bondi 7, it’s very different from the novablast, but it makes a great recovery/easy day shoe.
That's gonna be a pass for me. But then again, I avoid squish. Thanks for testing it!
Thanks for watching!
Great review! Totally agree with you, massively overhyped shoe! I’ve just recently bought the ASICS Noosa Tri 14’s - absolutely awesome shoe!!!!! Would love to hear your thoughts on it….
Have never tried that shoe. Glad you’re enjoying it!
Hi Emily 👋 . Question, Nova blast 3 or the Ride 15 ?
Impudence.
Nimbus 24 $ 134, Brooks Glycerin 20 GTS $ 146, UA HOVR Machina 3 $ 108,
Boston 10 around $ 109 as well...
Haven’t tried the glycerin 20 GTS unfortunately
I would buy it just for the color way 😁. Still running in 2 pairs of Novablast V1 and they faster as they age for me 🤘🏼
Love the color!
@@RunLikeHeller they didn’t have size in my size, so going with the Yellow Alert, good to be visible in the winter time 🔦🔦🔦
Love the honest review
I’ve seen mixed reviews on these. That being said I ordered a pair and expect it in October since it’s back ordered
Thanks for the honesty! If it's not hitting the mark for you, then it isn't. 🤷
Thanks for watching!
I miss the late/great rainbow balloon! 🌈
Thanks...Goin w Puma Deviate Nitreo Elite
Please review Magic speed 2
I pronate quite badly so these are a bit of a no go for me, but man that colourway makes me want them as a usual shoes. 😍
Yes! Love the color!
Great analysis 👍... And of course your video is only officially completed when Miss Ruby (aka "spoiled brat" 🤣) makes her cameo appearance even if she's "photo bombing" you're set🤣🤣.. and yes, upstairs is far better backdrop (my 2 cents)
Agreed 👍🏾
Thanks for the feedback!
I'm interested to buy them because :
1. I like the design
2. I wanna use them for Walking. I am not a Runner .
But walking alot at work, i walk daily between 10 and 15 km ,6 days per week.
Could those be good for that ?
I think so, yes.
Good first impressions video!
Thanks for watching!
Great and honest review !! Thinking of replacing my over used mach 4 by either the mach 5 version or to the novablast 3 what would be the main differences between these ?
Narrow feet Mach 5. Wide feet Novablast 3.
Great review. And hi ruby
Could it be that the origami foam is folding under your overpronated feet?
As u over pronate little bit does these feel stable ? Or u getting more probation as these r bouncy shoes with no plate .. i felt first 2 versions very unstable as i mildly overpronate
these are more stable than the first 2 but i certainly still feel my foot overpronating
Is it ok to buy this color im 8.5US men and im looking forward getting size 10US women.
Yes I think that should be fine
Is this stable enough for over pronation like yours or will you be doing long runs in something else? If you can't say it's a great shoe, which shoe is a great shoe in your opinion in the same category of daily trainer with good cushion?
Same boat. I’m an overpronator and tried the 2nd version and it really hurt my knees. I want the 3 but only if it’s better for overpronators than the 2
Saucony Tempus. Game changer!
@@RunLikeHeller Thanks for your reply and input.
The right shoe is completely flattening out, when running, the front end,the left is still solid and the foam is holding up.....🤔
Because my right foot overpronates
Arh ok 👍
I just has a pair delivered and the foam is solid and couldn't work out why it was doing that in your video.....
New Balance V4 vs Novablast 3 for easy/recovery run?
More v4? I’d go with those
Novablast 1 is the best daily trainer I ever had, I never got the 2nd version, but I got the 3rd one coming to me soon. I'm hoping the Novablast 3 is better than ever. So far most people are saying it's the shoe of the year.
How does this compare to the Clifton 8? Thanks!
I like the Clifton line a little better personally. More consistent feel. But many people are calling this their shoe of the year so if you’re intrigued, I say go for it lol
Is it possible that the amount of running you have been doing in the super bouncy SC Trainers has dulled the expected zing in the novas
Yes definitely possible. I’m hoping to put more miles in them once marathon training is over.
Been waiting for this one! Thanks for the honest review again, Em!😉
So I guess for u, the Hoka Mach 5 wins over the Asics Novablast 3 (since it's a question many been asking around too!), rite?
1 question abt the Novablast 3 though ▶does it make a loud slapping sound while running on the road like the Nike Peg 39?
If it doesn't I might still get a pair when the price starts coming down next year🤭 That loud slapping sound is what makes me retired my 1 month old Peg 38, really couldn't stand it!
Yes its loud, bit like every shoe with rubber on the outsole. Thats an advantage of the Mach5…rubberized outsole is very quiet.
Yes, the Novablast is a little slappy but not as bad as some other shoes lol
ty for the honest opinion.
Always! Thanks for watching!
Good girl Ruby!
Ihave same feeling with u on nov3
Ive had all three iterations of the Nova Blast. I dont think much thought went into the first version i don't have any problems with stability but this shoe was a disaster. The fact that they made so many changes to this shoe i think speaks volumes. It's now a very good well balanced shoe (not mushy) you can run in without the fear of getting injured.
New subscriber here purely for those bum shots. Definitely the best bum out of all the running UA-camrs.
I have the Noosa Tri 14 ($130).
I really love it. It doesn't have as much cushion; the heel midsole is kinda' firm. For me, a perfect 10k shoe.
Cant decide mach 5 or novablast3 😭
As of now, I’d pick Mach 5
I like the first version. I was hoping the 3 would be better that the 2 and closer to the Novablast v1
Hey H, what would you recommend as THE BEST marshmallows out there in the market ?? (or maybe top 3)
More 4.
I have a very physical blue collar job where my legs are dead the next morning and trying just to walk straight is difficult. When I put this shoe on my legs after a few steps I feel magically reborn and young again. I don't run marathons but one of these days I'm going to throw money to the wind and be one of those crazy people you see running in Vaporflys for daily use regardless what they were designed for.
@Big Bang NB SC Trainer, NB More v4 (more to come on that), Bondi 8 (very cushioned but not my personal favorite), and Nike invincible.

Great review, Novablast 2 is the worst shoe I ever had. I hate the high drop and I don't feel energy return. Its big and clunky. Novablast 3 seems better but still a wart hog in a dress..
By the way, Tim from the UK found the Novablast 3 disappointing as well.
8mm drop is not that high
@@roter4baron I agree 8mm is perfect for me. But in the Novablast 2 it feels so much higher. Then the site Solar... Cut open a Novablast 2 in size 9 and surprisingly the drop was 13 mm 🙄🙄🙄
