Hello Gene, I love your videos. What screen size are you using for your simulator? Another question: Are the 530's usable for ILS and RNAV approaches in the standard Xplane 11 with the Carenado PC12 add on? I know its not perfect but just wondering if the navigation databases are in there even if not current. I'm transitioning from C208's to a PC12/45 next month and will be going to flight safety but would like to get familiar ahead of time. Thanks
Thanks, John! I'm using a 3840x1600 monitor. I've found the 530's in the Carenado PC-12 to be pretty darn good. They do a good job with approaches (RNAV and ILS plus others). The menu logic, waypoint sequencing, symbology, etc. is all pretty good. It should do a great job of getting you prepared for FlightSafety. I flew Caravans before coming over to the Pilatus, too. Both are great airplanes. Good luck at training. You going to DFW? Cheers!
@@GeneStuart Thanks Gene, Yeah the caravan is a great plane I've been in it for 5 years. Looking forward to Flight Safety DFW. I've been going to ICT since I started in the caravan so it will be a nice change. Are you using one of those curved wide screens for Xplane? Thanks
Good idea. Sometimes things don't record very well in the airplane -- lots of ambient noise in the environment. Although, some sounds (like the engine start sequence) record nicely and are available already.
Really helpful, my favourite plane. Thank you so much.
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching, Chris.
You can tweak the controls in your control settings so they are more realistic.
Nice video i downloaded this yesterday and now I have a better understanding of the plane thanks alot
Awesome! Glad to help.
im going to download it this month... thanks for the review!
Happy flying!

@@johnprice7099 Nice! Yeah, I sure am. I'm using the LG 38GL950G. It's a great monitor.
Hi from Reunion island ! Let me know please , how did you find it ?
Greetings! Thanks for watching. Are you asking about the Carenado PC-12?
@@GeneStuart His english is confusing but i believe if i'm not wrong he's asking about the island/airport
How about recording the real sounds and playing them in another video short.

Could you train someone (a pilot) on this sim version of the pc12 and expect them to fly a real one
As imperfect as this model is, it's got enough going for it that you could learn the basics. It could certainly give someone an excellent head start.
Where do I download this plane for my pc?
