Just found your channel. Love!! You're my first ASMR encounter that produces nostalgia for me and its wonderful!!😊❤ BTW, Avon has some AMAZING skin care lines ...you should try!
OMG! you must be my sister. We also had a station wagon with the turn down rear window, but only americans had the woodgrain. We also never wore the seatbelt. My mother also wore chanel no 5 not often, and face powder was my grandmothers. But the eyeshadows I use to raid mum's cupboard for. And those perfume medleys were so popular. I had amari, but some stank of musk. And damn! I wanted that big palette. Never got that one. My grandmother could never afford it. But she did get those little lippy samples. I had pink ones when I was barely 10 years old. I discovered them in her estate after she died. Thanks Jeannie. One of a kind video. I can smell it all now.
Seeing and hearing your vulnerability about your memories of your mom after smelling the makeup compact brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for always sharing a piece of yourself with us and doing it with such genuineness!
Thank you for letting us feel less alone. I can relate to this feeling a lot! Whenever I remember a very special memory about my dad I get that feeling.. like when visiting his old room in his childhood home that we still own. it’s like a mix of thankfulness of the wonderful parent I had but sadness that he’s not with me and my family anymore..
I’m 75 and I remember my mom as well back in the 60’s. Her “must have” was always a red lipstick. I sold Avon for a brief period in the late 60’s, going door to door with my bright turquoise bag filled with samples. I wish I had that now to look through. You are so authentic and wonderful to listen to. 🥰🥰
I am happy you did not cut out the part where you got emotional. By doing this, you've brought so many people even closer to you. 🤗 I felt it and cried with you.
I’m only 23 and seeing you smell the makeup and instantly thinking of your mom made me realize how much I love my mother and need to cherish her because it’ll be a day she won’t be here anymore😩 that really touched me you’re amazing and glad you left that in❤
Thank you for not editing out the tears. I lost my mother unexpectedly pretty recently and dealing with the grief can be hard. I shared in that vulnerable moment with you Jeanie. The love never leaves us. Wishing you lots of peace
I'm so sorry for your loss. Losing your mother is so hard. Whenever I grieve my mum I always remind myself to feel blessed because to grieve someone means that there was love there ❤
I had terrible parents (that's why I became a psychologist) but I had an amazing grandmother who would tell me stories about the 40s 50s and 60s. I would say "tell me about when it was old fashioned." She would always start off by saying "ladies and gentlemen both wore hats and ladles smelled like Avon." I teared up when you did. Thank you for transporting me to being small with the one safe and wonderful adult I had. You are such a treasure.
@@angelcitygirl Yes!! My grandmother would sit on the porch swing with me and we would pretend it was a train ride. She would talk all about the ladies in their hats and gloves. I loved her story times about "when it was old fashioned." I was so lucky I had her for as long as I did.
My maternal grandparents were the most wonderful people. I lost my grandma ( Nana) when she was 53 and I was 9. I’m nearly that age now and I still miss her so much.
Olfactory memory is one of the strongest and the most émotionnal memory. It is connected to our archaic brain, directly to our soul. It was so beautiful to be a witness of that memory of your mom. ❤
My grandmother wore Avon hand cream her entire life, she lived to be 97 and I miss her all the time. She had the softest most beautiful skin, when I was a little girl I loved to sit in her lap and rub and play with her hands. She was such a classy woman, she never went anywhere without her hair curled and her makeup done, perfect manicure and an elegant outfit. I'm 39 now, she has been gone for many years, but to this day if I smell Avon hand lotion I get very emotional. I can close my eyes and see her kitchen in my mind's eye perfectly, I remember the sound her front door made and the way her house always smelled. My parents are now 71 and 72 and I feel so blessed every single day to have them in my life.
Ah Jeannie, I have never wanted to jump through a screen and give someone a hug the way I did when I saw you cry. Memories are such a powerful wonderful thing. I remember my nan allowing me to play dress-up with her empty compacts. I miss her everyday, thank you for igniting these memories they were great times. Sending much love from the UK x
This brought memories back for me and my Nana. I loved dressing up with her clothes and make up. I’m 53, the age she was when she passed away but still remember her so well.
My mom was born in 1960 - I remember she bought Avon sometimes, but she loved the shimmery blue and purple eyeshadows. That was her signature "thing". She passed in 2009, this brought back some bittersweet memories for me as well
I can still imagine the smell of my grandmother’s makeup. And it will always bring tears to my eyes. We love you, Jeannie. Your vulnerability makes everyone feel normal and heard in their grief. ❤
I'm Brazilian e this is the first time I see you, Jeannie. I cryed with you when you remembered your mom and her powder. It's not enough to just whisper, but having a loving energy to relax someone. And you have this.
Fun fact: a lot of the dyes used within red lipsticks released from the 1960s-70s have a tendency to “fade/turn orange” as they age over time. So there’s a high chance they were once more red when they were initially released but the color faded with time. Overall Jeanie, I love this video, and don’t ever feel bad over getting emotional over a memory! Vulnerability is a wonderful thing that most people don’t really tend to show today. Much love 💜
My sister died 27days ago. I was drifting asleep to your video but for some reason woke up as soon as you started to cry. I rewinded it to watch you go through that feeling I now know it all to well. We will miss our loved ones till our last breath. I hope moments of peace meet you each day ♥️
Thank you so much for not editing out the part where you cry, reminiscing. It was something beautiful and meaningful. I feel blessed to have been a part of this.
My mom passed four years ago today and I’ve been having a hard time with it, but hearing you reminisce about your mom doing her makeup in the car brought back a similar memory for me of my mom doing hers in the car every time we went somewhere as well. It was so nice to be reminded of that, especially today of all days. Thank you so much.
20:31 this has happen to me before i lost my mom at the age of 15 to bone cancer and im 29 now and i have one of her old make up compacts and is smells just like her 😢 i have her perfume collection as well im sure you’ll know what im talking about but she use to collect white diamonds brand and they had mini little glass bottles. I miss that woman. Thank you for sharing that moment with us ❤
Jeannie please see this comment. Your voice and demeanor mannerisms expressions and grace have been so healing for me. Please keep doing what you are doing. I am hooked on you!
Thank you for being human in front of us. So much of social media is performing “perfect” and “happy” and “clean.” When life is so much more complicated. Don’t get me wrong, I love a little escapism. But equally if not more so, I love seeing people I admire show me that they can feel deeply. What a treasure you are, Jeanie. Thank you for sharing slices of your life with us - whether we are crying with you, laughing with you, or snoozing. You are very appreciated ❤
This is why I love you! I cried along with you. I do that a lot. Thinking about the old days, when everyone was still alive. Especially my son. (I sold Avon in the early 80's when I was in my 20's) You are a genuinely good soul, and I've said that before. You also made me laugh hysterically when you brought up your 80's make-up video. I may go re-watch that. The lipstick on your cheeks was something I would have probably done! I admire you greatly, Jeannie. Thank you for being YOU! xo
Oh Jeannie I started crying when you started crying! My dad is currently on hospice and sometimes my happy memories of him being healthy in my childhood come flooding back and it just hits my heart 💔sending you all the love!
I remember my grandma wearing a lipstick that was green in the packaging, but then when put on it got red, I always thought is was so magical, she also used it as rouge. I recently found them and I treasure them very much. Theres a drawer with all her stuff , mirrors , compacts , combs and even her metal curlers and hairpins. It all brings me joy when I open it up.
The way you speak to us (the audience) is so authentic and comforting. It’s so refreshing to listen to ASMR that is like a conversation with a friend. Thank you so much
Awe, you’ve got a beautiful heart, Jeannie. I’m glad you kept your emotions in the video. 💜 Isn’t it amazing how memories stay suspended in our minds forever? Even more so, how smells can transport us back in an instant?
@@JeannieBASMR 20:28 This moment was so so special ! Hugs 🤗❤. ( I fell asleep listening to you last night, but l really had to come back and mention it ❤️)
Would love a video where you show us your whole GONA collection with close ups if possible - its so beautiful and your voice is the perfect match! Much love from England

seeing you reminisce on your childhood made me cry as well. i’m 15 and i already miss being a little kid very much. i guess i wish i could’ve appreciated my family more. 💗
Awwww, Jeanie. ❤ I get emotional when I think about my childhood in the 70s and 80s too. Thank you for sharing your memories with us. You have the most relaxing voice!
My Mum was an Avon lady too and I remember all the perfume and make up. She had a turquoise tester box and it was like treasure to little girls. Mum also had a beautiful charm bracelet too…lovely memories. And you are a stunning lady.
Thank you for normalizing grieving memories with your mom no matter how many years have gone by. I lost my mom six years ago and miss her terribly. I keep a bottle of the perfume she wore when I was a little girl. Those scent memories are strong. Happy to have found your channel. ❤️
Sometimes when I smell certain perfumes, I think of my great aunt who passed in 2019. Smells can incite memories of times and people and I felt the emotions when you smelled the makeup. I hope you’re doing well, and I’m glad I’ve found this channel. ❤️
Woah I’m early! First off, love the soft spoken asmr. I’ve always watched your videos when I can’t find any good soft spoken ones at night. I also like how most of the time it’s not a roleplay, but instead feels like a conversation. Love it !!
Ohhhh hun....I was in tears along with you. I didn't know you'd get as emotional as I was feeling. I don't know why remembering our childhood days gets me so badly. It was just so different back then. We didn't have the weight we carry now. We still had such an innocence. Sitting in the back of the station wagon without seat belts was a different world. Hugs to you ❤❤
Wow this made me emotional. Such a simple memory of just the smell of the powder evoked such strong memories. Just made me think of all the decades before me, and how I don’t want the generations before me and their history and memories to disappear. I really treasure hearing about the past, even just little snippets from people.
Dearest Jeannie, your channel brings so much comfort and peace to me always. thank you for presenting that’s it’s alright to be vulnerable at times, you’re the perfect epitome of grace and beauty and you truly inspire me each day. I’ve been so addicted to watching old Avon products, I wish they were sold back here in India. Thank you for the video Jeannie All the love and hugs as always 🤍
I LOVED Avon makeup -- still do! Was good stuff, especially from the 70s and early 80s. And that Raspberry Frost lip shade was beautiful!! Not aptly named, lol, but we all loved it. ❤ I adored their Coordinates makeup line. And Ariane? Anyone else remember that very pretty scent? It carried me through my 20s...cried a little when they discontinued it. 😉 Thanks for sharing all these great memories Jeannie. You are so fabulous in every way. xox
I’m so glad you didn’t cut out the tears. How incredibly touching. I have such vivid memories in the back of my moms minivan in the 90s. My mom is still around and I see her often, but I would go the distance to be able to smell her perfume from back then. ❤️
This was a special video. It brought so many people back and everyone seemed vulnerable and safe to share thier experiences along with you. I am so glad you kept that portion of the video in. Thats what we all love about you. Good old Avon and wonderful you. Thanks for this one. I use to deliver avon with my aunt. This brought back memories for me too. XO love my Jeannie
I cried along with you as you were hit with the smell memory of your mom..... You're so adorable and sweet, such a classy lady. thank you for showing your soft side and sharing with us your emotions. As usual I enjoy tremendously all your videos. Hugs from Miami !!!!
Jeanie thank you for not editing that part out! Ty so much for sharing. I have suffered a lot of trauma and I’m very nostalgic and a lot of ppl don’t get my nostalgia or think I’m going overboard , but it’s nice to see that others long for and love remembering those sweet memories and those wonderful “good o’l days” . Your voice and demeanor is always comforting and soothing ❤Many ppl don’t understand how the things of yesteryear can comfort us. Btw I wore cherry jubilee lipstick for ever in the late 80’s early 90’s . I’m so sad they’ve changed the name I forget to what but the color is a bit darker now and not exactly the same. And my very first eyeshadow was tiger lily by Avon and it was such a beautiful orange color . I wish they still made it. Avon is soooo nostalgic for me. I wish they would come back out with a lot of their old stuff
As you cried reminiscing, I cried too. My Grandma and mom used to have all the Avon and Mary Kay stuff. I came across a box full of a lot of stuff of my grandmothers old make up and magazines. And let me tell you I bawled lol. New Subscriber💗
You and your videos embody how deep and meaningful this whole social media experience can be. Smells and music are the most melancholy triggers for me and my memories; I go right back to the time and place. Like a lot (prob most) of us on here, I cried right along with you. What a beautiful experience to be able to share. Being able to share our vulnerabilities with others is one of the most powerful and important ways we can bond. Love you so much Jeannie, thank you! 💜
The part at 20:11 ❤ So many times in videos and on social media, people depict life in such a fanciful way, putting up a facade as if reality is something to feel ashamed of. Thank you for letting us in and letting us know your mother. I am certain she beams at you from above with joy. You are a gem. We love you Jeannie! 🥰
Thank you so much. My mom is still with us, but she is losing her memory - and all the memories I hold so dear - she is in a wonderful assisted living facility, for which I’m very grateful.
I am so thankful for these videos. These videos bring me so much happiness and peace. I am currently a senior in high school and people are so unwelcoming at school and even though I have many amazing friends outside of school, it is so tiering going to school everyday to them. So thank you so much for sharing these videos! It’s been almost a year since I discovered your channel and I couldn’t be happier :D
I’m so glad to be here for you, sweetie. Please remember that high school is a very short time in your life and your best years are ahead of you! It may feel like it’s forever, but you’ll blink and be in your twenties…then your thirties…and so on. ❤️💕
You have the most buttery soft and silky voice.I enjoy your ASMR because you have the best voice and you don't whisper. Also, the stories and memories you share are priceless.God bless you Jeannie!
Ohhh Jeannie ❤ Thank you for your realness and for being you. Yes we grieve, but the feeling of longing and missing our loved ones never really goes away. I know many of us have had this very same moment at one time or another. We love you ❤
Omg..the 80s makeup...my mom had all avon makeup and i remember playing with it and the mini lipsticks..my grandmother had a ton of the sample lipsticks and me and my cousin would go in the bathroom and put makeup all over each other and we had a special drawer of makeup so we wouldnt touch any of her actual makeup...some of the best memories of my entire life❤
I am always surprised and touched that people have such a wonderful memories with their mothers, as I don't. It is very sad but i don't miss a thing about my childhood and my mother back then. I know some people miss their Moms till the rest of their lives and i really really try to be one of them... ❤
So, here I am lying on my sofa watching my ASMR friend, Jeannie, cry about days gone by. I have tears pouring down my face. Now let's look at some makeup. Thanks, Jeannie. You are strong and soft -- best of both worlds.
Even my dad had the wood paneled station wagon! Although that was in the early 90's. Car rides were always quite tense with my parents, and sadly I can't relate to happy family memories like yours, but I will try to live vicariously through you
I just started following your channel & you are so comforting. You reminded me to be grateful for my mom. I also listen to my mom talk about her mom and it’s very emotional for her. Thank you for sharing your memories! You’re one of the best ASMRist out there! ❤️
Never expected to shed tears when I started this video in bed, thank you for sharing that sweet moment of how your compact brought back memories with your Mom. ♥️ It warms my heart so much when I see people fill with appreciation and love for their mothers, how lucky are we to have such fond memories of childhood? 😘 sending you a big hug! ♥️
You never know when something will overtake you! And yeah, my childhood memories with my mom (when she was in her best years) are so powerfully wonderful.
Hey Jeanie I unexpectedly got broken up with the girl I was planning to marry after being together for 3 years really having a tough time but your asmr has always made me happy if you have any words of wisdom I would really appreciate it keep doing what you do!
Oh gosh - I am so sorry. I know it sounds trite, but time will eventually help to heal you. I would also say to allow the pain. Don’t try to resist it. Bend with it.

Awe, you’ve got a beautiful heart, Jeannie. I’m glad you kept your emotions in the video. 💜
Isn’t it amazing how memories stay suspended in our minds forever? Even more so, how smells can transport us back in an instant?
So true! I totally wasn’t expecting that. Thank you for your kind words.
Just landed on this video. You seem to be really genuine and I find it very brave that you shared this emotional moment. 😊
Thank you - and welcome!
Love you Auntie Jeannie ❤ it's ok to cry when we are sad. Loving someone that is gone is love that perseveres
❤️❤️❤️
Perfect timing ! I love jewellery and old Avon catalogues and make up, what a special asmr treat !❤
Yay, thank you!
@@JeannieBASMR 20:28 This moment was so so special ! Hugs 🤗❤. ( I fell asleep listening to you last night, but l really had to come back and mention it ❤️)

At first glance you reminded me of Diana 🥺❤️
I felt every tear. Been really reminiscing lately myself, life goes by so very fast ♥️
Yes it does! ❤️💕❤️
seeing you reminisce on your childhood made me cry as well. i’m 15 and i already miss being a little kid very much. i guess i wish i could’ve appreciated my family more. 💗
Thank you, sweetie. Remember - there’s no time like the present to start appreciating it all! 🫶🏼💕🫶🏼
Awwww, Jeanie. ❤ I get emotional when I think about my childhood in the 70s and 80s too. Thank you for sharing your memories with us. You have the most relaxing voice!
Aw, thank you so much!
Loved your enthusiasm about the jewelry you showed Jeannie, but I think the biggest jewel is you. :) So glad you share yourself with all of us.
You’re so kind! Thank you!😊
I needed a good cry too. Thank you for NOT cutting that out! I totally get it!
You are so welcome! And thank YOU!
My Mum was an Avon lady too and I remember all the perfume and make up. She had a turquoise tester box and it was like treasure to little girls. Mum also had a beautiful charm bracelet too…lovely memories. And you are a stunning lady.
Thanks for sharing!! What great memories!
Princesa Diana 👑👑👑
Thank you for normalizing grieving memories with your mom no matter how many years have gone by. I lost my mom six years ago and miss her terribly. I keep a bottle of the perfume she wore when I was a little girl. Those scent memories are strong. Happy to have found your channel. ❤️
Sometimes when I smell certain perfumes, I think of my great aunt who passed in 2019. Smells can incite memories of times and people and I felt the emotions when you smelled the makeup. I hope you’re doing well, and I’m glad I’ve found this channel. ❤️
Thanks for sharing!! And I’m glad you’re here! 💕❤️💕
The passage of time hits the soul deeply. It really does a number.
Woah I’m early! First off, love the soft spoken asmr. I’ve always watched your videos when I can’t find any good soft spoken ones at night. I also like how most of the time it’s not a roleplay, but instead feels like a conversation. Love it !!
I'm so glad! Thank you so much!
I've never felt so happy looking another woman so happy unpacking her stuff.
You truly are the perfect ambassador for Gona. Your grace and elegance is inspirational.
That’s so kind! Thank you!
The combination of the tapping, jewelry scratching/jingling, and your soft voice is helping my anxiety and concentration so much!
Hugs to you ❤❤
I think it’s because we had such innocence. 😔 We miss those days of simplicity.
@@JeannieBASMR Indeed. Thank you for the sweet reply. And thank you for sharing your beautiful video's with us. You're a precious soul ❤️
Wow this made me emotional. Such a simple memory of just the smell of the powder evoked such strong memories. Just made me think of all the decades before me, and how I don’t want the generations before me and their history and memories to disappear. I really treasure hearing about the past, even just little snippets from people.
Princess Diana vibes 😮❤ you have such a beautiful heart
Seeing this sweet lady so happy about this jewelry made my heart so happy !!😢❤ bless her soul ! What great videos !!
Thank you so much!
Thank you so much, dear friend!! 🤗❤️💕🫶🏼💕❤️
Thanks for sharing all these great memories Jeannie. You are so fabulous in every way. xox
I’m so glad you didn’t cut out the tears. How incredibly touching. I have such vivid memories in the back of my moms minivan in the 90s. My mom is still around and I see her often, but I would go the distance to be able to smell her perfume from back then. ❤️
Thank you so much for this!
Amazing how scents can bring memories to our present time. It’s especially amazing when it helps us remember those we loved and have lost.
I have a lump in my throat watching you in that nostalgic moment, thanks for sharing x
You are so welcome! Thank you for your kind words!
You are such a glamorous, beautiful, and warm person!!
Thank you so much, sweet Gina! 💕❤️💕
I cried along with you as you were hit with the smell memory of your mom..... You're so adorable and sweet, such a classy lady. thank you for showing your soft side and sharing with us your emotions. As usual I enjoy tremendously all your videos. Hugs from Miami !!!!
Thank you so much!😊
What an elegant soothing voice you have. So comforting 🙏 thank you
Wow, thank you!
@@JeannieBASMR thank you 💖 you were able to relieve my anxiety
Thank you for leaning into being vulnerable and sharing your heart! 💙
Legit thought this was Princess Diana
SAME
Lol me too 😂
I remember using my mums and nans Avon products , you just brought back a childhood memory 🥰
I’m so glad to hear this! ❤️
You hit the nail on the head! Memories are so powerful and emotional! Hugs to you, friend.
I still buy perfumes that remind me of my nanna. This was a lovely video. Especially the part that reminded you of your mum. Thank you.
Thanks for sharing this kind message! ❤️
That is very sweet of you to show your emotions. Thank you kindly for your understanding of some of us males who like makeup too! XOXO
You are so welcome!🤗
As you cried reminiscing, I cried too. My Grandma and mom used to have all the Avon and Mary Kay stuff. I came across a box full of a lot of stuff of my grandmothers old make up and magazines. And let me tell you I bawled lol. New Subscriber💗
Thanks for sharing!! I appreciate it! And welcome!🤗
As soon as I saw you post I had to click on. What a wonderful way to end off a stressful work day. You are the best!
Yay! Thank you!
You’re making me sleepy. Good night.
This moved me so much that I just read it to my husband! Thank you so much, Sara! 💕
@@JeannieBASMR you're so adorable 🥰
The part at 20:11 ❤
So many times in videos and on social media, people depict life in such a fanciful way, putting up a facade as if reality is something to feel ashamed of.
@@JeannieBASMRmaybe bring her the compact so she can smell it and reminisce with you ❤️
@@PlayCalmASMRI love that idea!!
I love your posts. They make me happy during a very sad time❤
I'm so glad! Anything that can help - even a little bit - is good, dear friend.
I will actually be in France this summer visiting family! Maybe I’ll stop by their store in Paris and take a picture for you Jeannie! ❤
I’d love that!!
@@JeannieBASMR Thank you so much I needed to hear that 💗
You have the most buttery soft and silky voice.I enjoy your ASMR because you have the best voice and you don't whisper.
We love you ❤
Thank you so much, Nicole!
Omg..the 80s makeup...my mom had all avon makeup and i remember playing with it and the mini lipsticks..my grandmother had a ton of the sample lipsticks and me and my cousin would go in the bathroom and put makeup all over each other and we had a special drawer of makeup so we wouldnt touch any of her actual makeup...some of the best memories of my entire life❤
I’m going to Paris tomorrow for the weekend, if I have time, I will take a look at this shop 😉
Oh yay! Go in there and tell them you want a selfie for me! 😁🥰
@@JeannieBASMR not sure to have time enough but if I can, I will send you with Instagram 😄❤️

LTD Crown Victoria?? That was the car my grandma had when I was young 🥹🥲🥰 Very nostalgic. Hugs to you Jeannie. 🤗 ❤
I am always surprised and touched that people have such a wonderful memories with their mothers, as I don't. It is very sad but i don't miss a thing about my childhood and my mother back then. I know some people miss their Moms till the rest of their lives and i really really try to be one of them... ❤
You can never ruin something that was meant to be used by using it. It's easy to forget that
I love seeing vintage stuff. The avon lipsticks i remember playing with thise as a child. Never knew it was avon:)
So, here I am lying on my sofa watching my ASMR friend, Jeannie, cry about days gone by. I have tears pouring down my face. Now let's look at some makeup. Thanks, Jeannie. You are strong and soft -- best of both worlds.
It took me a bit to get composed, but those goes “boop!” right back to “let’s look at makeup now!” lol! Thank you for your kindness, Jamie.

I get really emotional too Jeannie when I think about my Parents 😢😢😢😢

Never expected to shed tears when I started this video in bed, thank you for sharing that sweet moment of how your compact brought back memories with your Mom. ♥️ It warms my heart so much when I see people fill with appreciation and love for their mothers, how lucky are we to have such fond memories of childhood? 😘 sending you a big hug! ♥️
You never know when something will overtake you! And yeah, my childhood memories with my mom (when she was in her best years) are so powerfully wonderful.

so sorry to hear that. sending hugs x
Oh gosh - I am so sorry. I know it sounds trite, but time will eventually help to heal you. I would also say to allow the pain. Don’t try to resist it. Bend with it.
Hey Jeannie I lost my mom and your videos really comfort me❤
