I saw Loudness on their very first gig in America in Houston 1985 at the amp theater with Keel and Helix. Loudness blew them all away! I still listen to them....
Was just listening to 'Thunder In The East' and 'Lightning Strikes' recently. Incredible metal with bombastic, killer guitar work! He was one of the all time best metal players for sure.

Coming from this guy, that's horrible!!!! Is he high or drunk ??? or has he lost all his chops ???. Has he become deaf to not hear that he is playing is garbage ?? It reminds me of a all these beginners in guitar stores who when they try a new guitar play off and use the vibrato constantly because they don't know what else to do.
I suspect he was very very drunk. There's another video of him playing at the seymour duncan booth at the same namm show, just noodling around and he rips. I'm a big fan of Akira Takasaki and Loudness but.. yeah, this was pretty bad.

Akira is the most underrated guitarist ever! Definitely in the same class with Eddie Van Halen and Randy Rhoads! Akira Rocks!! 🤘🏻

What a treat to see him play up close. I have seen him play only in the big venues like Budokan, Yoyogi Olympic pool, etc.
