Whether he slipped or not is up for debate, I believe he did slip but then it got blown up into something bigger by PSDT which I agree was not right, he was so heated in the moment he was not thinking straight and carrying on. He should have gotten a yellow for diving feet first at Bealhams ankles. It was a sour note to end a great game. Ireland may not be the best team in the world and haven't won a World Cup but at 4 out of the last 5 and 9 out of the last 14.....they're better than the Boks.

@@dazza9859 for me it’s inconclusive, could also be a slip but the worst has been assumed which is not necessarily true either. From a front on angle there is a minor touch as Doris indeed moves his hips. This is not enough to say obstruction as his feet are planted but may have been enough to put him off and cause a slip at a ground in Durban known for humidity and dew towards the end of the game as he is forced to change direction suddenly. The guy is injured, would he injure himself just to win a game? More shameful than this is the double croc roll by Ireland 8 and 5 on Marx, almost breaking his leg, I think that is way more serious than this non event.

So many little clever moments from Ireland. Firstly the grubber through to win the lineout. Mauling a few metres off the lineout to gain some ground, then quick decision out the back. Quick pass from POM. Doris and Baird making metres post contact. POM defending the ruck with a long body position against a poach attempt. Bairds excellent ball placement. Blades perfect pass. All critical parts to get Frawley as close to range as possible. I also think SA were just not expecting a second DG attempt. Probably thought Ireland would try eke out a penalty, or go through the phases for an unlikely try. No one seemed to be within any decent range to even contest the DG (despite Kolbe best efforts….. 😅) Savage stuff

Actually SA or at least Kolbe was expecting the DG on a camera view behind the posts not in this video you can see he never takes his eyes of Frawley and starts his run as soon as Frawley bounces back a few steps before he gets the pass. And the speed of him, I think he would have got there if he hadn't been so stupid and ran from the wrong side of the ruck, forwards are pooled around that side while the open side is clear.

I read a comment that Kolbe wanted the Ronaldo Academy Award but his performance wasn't good enough. Delighted with the win, with quite a few big injuries! Probably entering a period of transition now with new Captain and Farrell going to the Lions after the Autumn series. But this is a great win and experience for that Irish group!

It was an attempt at cheating. He literally launched himself at Bealhams feet. To confirm it, as soon as he landed he turned onto his back waving his arms wildly. He did this to attempt to fool/alert the ref and his teammates that they might get something out of it and to try to distract Frawley.
