Death from Old Age SOLVED - Bannerlord
Вставка

- I have an explanation of the death by illness mechanic in the Bannerlord. I break down the chance of becoming ill and what happens when you become ill. And a way to reach 127 years old before you die from old age.

That equation for death chance is pretty gnarly
Another great vid. Keep it up Hero!
Thanks

I can only imagine Derthert's weariness at age 127.
I'm getting old, all my companions are old, my 2daughters want to run off with thier husbands but I won't release them from my dungeon ! I'm screwed. I think that's the insane mechanic triggered ? Ruler becomes insane at old age and becomes the talk of all the rumour-mongers. :D
That would be a fun mechanic, insanity.
I simulated this mechanic in an Excel spreadsheet. Turns out without extra life (with a 50% likelihood) you can expect you live longer than 67, with one extra life this is 76 and with 2 extra life it becomes 85. So each of these perks roughly gives you on average 9 years more
Sounds good, on paper.
My in game older brother is over 100.
Awesome! I never made it passed 75, naturally, for any of my family or companions.
My first character's older brother is nearly 150 y/o. How is that possible. He has 330 medicine. Does that have anything to do with it?
@@angrygoldfish9607 It must be a bug. If he's not "ill", it's a bug. You become ill if you age is at least 127. The illness mechanic would have killed him way before 150.
That explains a character dying in his early 50s. Got unlucky.
Yep, just bad luck. Someone in the discord mentioned one of the main Lords died on day two.
@@hero_on_youtube I was Urundulf, married 👰 him and fled to the hills after some children, so he had great stats, but no longevity.
127 years old!? Thats insane 😂
So I died when the chance of death wasn't even .5%
If the chance is greater than zero, it can happen.
would love to know how health advice effects this, extended life, but by how much, or should I say reducing death %
Health Advice and Cheat Death aren't percentages. They get added to a hidden counter called extraLivesContainer. Like the Mario 1up analogy. That counter is used in two ways. The first if your random roll was lower than the probability, then one life is used up instead of getting ill. If you get those perks after you are already ill, then it's used to prevent the HP drain. If the HP drain is triggered for that day, then one life is used up.
@@hero_on_youtube ok so thats the only benefit, just cheating death not really extending it any other way
@@Flesson19 It extends both life and illness.
rip Durrrthurrrrt
Thanks for laying it out. If you were ever to play a game long enough for illness to happen, you either started old in a sandbox or have been woefully ineffective in the conquest of the world
Assuming your goal is world conquest, maybe. What if you goal is world destruction? That takes longer.
@@hero_on_youtube Raid everything, execute all nobles.... hmmm
I may not have a brain, but I do have an idea
When you die what happends with my companions? Must I choose all over again or can I keep my old ones? 🤔
All clan members, including companions, remain. Only ways they can go away, is if you kick them out, they die, or you make them mad enough to quit.@@fkzx77AkaJonasTornqvist
@@fkzx77AkaJonasTornqvistthey should stay and even see you die if they can, Unless they die first ofc
does the medicine exploit still work? If so, it would make a sandbox 50 year start pretty great
Yes, it still works. But, you have to get the perks ASAP. With a 50 year old start, you are knocking on deaths door from day 1, well technically day 2, but you get the idea.
In my run i want become new aserai leader when unquid die.
Based on what other noble elect a new faction leader?
I would have to research that to be sure. It's on my list of videos to make. Keep an eye out for it.
Quick question if I die and select one of my children as an heir does it transfer everything to the heir
When you select an heir, that person becomes the leader of your Clan. When you say transfer 'everything' what do you mean?
@hero_on_youtube I mean give everything to them bc I watched a video where they selected an heir and nothing went over to him he started out as nothing when his previous character had like 200 men on him
@@JakeMellon-yd4tf That may have been a mod. The purpose of selecting an heir is to give them everything.
@@hero_on_youtube thanks g
Is it possible to deactivate dying at old age ?
You can turn off Birth and Aging when you first start a new game, after you start, I don't think it's possible to change it.
So my character won't die with no aging option?
Won't die of old age, not sure about dying in battle. The option used to be worded differently.
